Boo. What can I say? My boyfriend and I rolled into town Friday about midnight and checked into our hotel. We were starved and this place was near by and their yelp said they were open til 2 so we went over.

Walked in the open door to an almost empty place, with the exception of a sleazy chick at the bar. Bartender walks up and looks at us, we ask how he's doing, he says terrible with a straight face. I'm usually okay with sarcasm but it was far too late and I had had way too long of a day to deal with it. I asked if he was still serving food and he looked irritated. "No, we're about to close." I told him his Yelp said he was open til 2am and he told me that they usually just close when they feel like it. Then the sleazy girl walked over and mumbled something to my boyfriend then told the bartender he was hot and asked him to driver her home. I said I wanted to go find food so we stood up to leave and the bartender looked ad me and goes "Geez, I guess she doesn't appreciate sarcasm." As though there was anything funny about what he had said. It was just plain rude. A million better bars in the area to hit up where people will actually treat you with respect. Try 775 Gastropub.

Some places that I review, I was lucky and had a good experience O'skis Pub & Grille is one of those places.
The food was very good. I had the fish tacos. There was a decent size piece of fish in each taco, and though I wasn't stuffed afterwards, I was satisfied.

The environment was a traditional pub with high tables and no booths. After 21 years in the Reno area, I finally decided to go into one of these places on Sparks Blvd. I was please and my apprehension was unwarranted.

Before I give my bottom line, I will try this place again to measure for consistency.

I forgot to mention that they honor the check-in offer of "buy one sandwich & get the other 50% off." The bartender was not familiar that they had this Yelp special. However,  he honored it regardless.

Oskis has been my fav hang out in Reno/Sparks for ten years. The pours are consistant, food is awsome and there's always a happy face behind the bar. Gina rocks!

I have been frequenting this bar for about 5 years now. Drinks r great, a really fun laid back vibe, bartenders r rad. Not a huge fan of menu outside of the epic shrimp quesadilla!

We are not locals but we are treated like ones when we go into O'skis, we have always had great service and the food is very good.Billy the bartender is a very nice guy and always remembers us. The best thing about this place is no smoking in the bar!!

I'm torn between a three star and four star review of the place. Drinks are usually good and service is good. Nothing out of the ordinary ... Except for the shotski. I've usually gone during the weeknights.

I enjoy coming here, and it is definitely a place i have no reservations about going back to.

Pretty small bar. Only went to drink. The food smelled pretty good. We only stayed for one drink, it was a Thursday night and was pretty quiet.

A normal bar. Decor was tacky and prices for drinks were nothing special. Older crowd.

I decided to give this place a second try based on a friend's suggestion. Huge mistake!!!! I thought my experience was poor the first time, but this experience was worse. It smelled of vomit, maybe from the excessively drunk regulars and off duty bar maids.  My friend actually had to stop a guy from almost peeing at the bar. The beer was warm...shocking!!!  This is a place to go if you want to wallow in the underbelly of society. But don't expect anything like heroine chic.  It's just sad lonely down and out rough looking men and women...quite sad.

    Wow !
What a turnaround to my opinion. if there was 1.5 stars that would be the choice.

Just went there tonight and it sucked compared to my last, and recent, enthusiastic update.

The bartender (Amy?) is in need of a boot in her ass,

We popped in to take advantage of the $1.00 tacos after having a couple beers next door.  We order Black and Tans and some tacos, and she is all impatient and irritated as my friends ask a couple simple questions.

Hey!  I got an idea, If you don't like serving the stuff your boss advertises , why not tell the boss you are sick of this shit, see how far that gets you.....

There are two of them working, one behind the bar,
    and one working the "floor".
As I sit there with an empty beer, (You KNOW how I feel about that)  the "floor"  girl walks by behind the bar a couple times,
right past us, and sees no reason whatsoever to give the "Bar" girl
(who is now hiding out at the opposite end, seemingly venting her "taco question frustration" to a regular)
the heads up that "hey, your guy at the end is empty"

NOooooo..... that would be asking tooo much.....
    It would almost resemble TEAMWORK.....

I'm looking at this as a nutralization of my newfound enthusiasm, if this happens again they are back in the avoid column.

My Saturday burger and experience was great, $6 dollar tip on a $11 ticket and glad to be there.
Tonight, $10 ticket, 20% tip and regretting stopping in-
    The math is obvious.....

Get your priorities straight, or tell your boss your sick of food specials.

Big setback in my enthusiasm for this joint, it reminded me clearly of why I stopped coming here previously.

    Who needs this attitude shit?

PS: The Tacos were just fine, the chefs here do a fine job.

I have been here twice before.  I like the way the place is setup.  The staff is somewhat friendly, but inconsistently so.  They have Guinness on tap, which is a must for me, and the bar is decorated nicely in Guinness posters and bumper stickers.  Nice over all appearance.  I did not try the food, but everyone around me who tried the food said it was great.  They even have Irish Tacos, which means they have corned beef in them (sadly, they do not come with whiskey, and the server does not head butt you when they bring them to your table... oh well).

sometimes the service can be a little slow, but the food is always great and it never ceases to amaze me how a pub can have such great soup everytime. A great place to meet friends for a drink

When you get kicked out of Great Basin because a show's starting and you don't want to pay the cover charge, head over to Oskis. The ambiance is a little bit more mellow and the lights are a little darker - perfect for actually hearing what your drinking partners are saying. Also they feature the Shotski (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Foskispub.com%2Fshotski.htm&s=9cecdb9b773cfb19b6a88c06fc3a36987e6dcaa6e874e924dd3c6f902dcc2974" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://oskispub.com/shot…</a>) which is the perfect opportunity to make new friends if your party doesn't have the required 4 people.
