The Polo Lounge

The dancing music on saturday nights cant be beat. Love this place! We always find our way back here on saturday nights.

The Polo Lounge has become a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. I usually go there once every 2-3 months on a Fri or Sat for some drinks, people watching, and dancing. The crowd for most part is usually quite mixed, everything from 20-somethings to 65+ (mostly 30's-50's), and often there are some very colorful characters in the mix. Some nights have been "off" and it can be dead there, but on a good night it can be quite a fun scene. The decor includes zebra-print booths and there are 2 main sitting areas which offer a different vibe depending what you're up for. Sometimes seating is limited though so you may have to take what you can get. Gemini, a male/female singing duo perform on weekends, playing fun music from the 70's to current hits to dance to. The waitress Gina always remembers me and my usual order which is always nice. I can see this place not being for everyone, but it's worth checking out at least once to find out!

It might be a Wed night, the place looks classy and all, and the music is good, but the crowd is at least twice my age (and I am no longer young). What is the deal with this town???
