Great local place!  The owners/bar tenders where super nice! Live music is a plus! Josiah Night and Smooth Hound Smith where a perfect match musically. Josiah started the night off with a mellow folk set, great voice and stellar beard! Than SMOOTH HOUND SMITH!!! WOW!!! Guy/girl duo with foot drums and lots of percussion. I will def  be back here if they keep having these guys!

After reading all the reviews on here, I was very underwhelmed. Honestly, if it hadn't been for a decent live band, we would have left after our first beer. It's in a remodel four room house, all of the rooms are very small. There's the bar in the first room, a table or two in the next room, a pool table in the next, and a pin ball machine in the back room. Its very cramped and dimly lit. I'd also just like to say the place isnt cute or quaint in any sense and has no ambiance. Its run down.

The bar is limited, no wine and a rather small selection of beer. I'd say about half of the bar was sloppy drunk. One man even harassed me at the bar for my choice of beer (may I note that he was drinking PBR, like 99% of the bar).

I found absolutely nothing redeeming about this bar besides the band being an interesting listen. I wont be back.

Strega should be on the menu for any "Fear and Loathing in Reno, Nevada"-esque bender. Right after the casino bars and a little before that shady alley with the guy selling paint thinner.

I jest, this bar is pretty weird (read: hip?) but it's also pretty awesome. We were directed here by a couple of locals, glad we listened. The bar is literally just an old house in a normal-looking neighborhood. Make sure to double-check the address before barging through the door.

"Welcome to Earth, newcomers" the bartender greeted us as we walked in. I'm not sure what that was about, but it did a great job of setting the atmosphere.

The inside definitely feels like you're inside a house (because again, the bar is inside a house). There's a pool table in one of the rooms and some (seedy) seating spread around the place. I liked the art they had up, and apparently it rotates.

They've got a few varieties of Deschutes on tap and they were only playing old Modest Mouse the whole night- very cool.

The ambiance might seem a little contrived, but it's still really relaxed. Everyone we met here was super friendly and happy to fill us in on Reno life off the strip.

I'll come back next time I'm around.
