The Otheroom

nice local place but packed on weekends.

This is the only bar that I will drink alcohol due to them having Wyder's Pear Cider on tap.

The first time I visited the otheroom was back in the spring of 2009, and I remember thinking it didn't quite fit in with the Venice surrounding area meaning I liked it right away. There was a great door guy named 'Jimmy' who was always really cool; he had asked me to watch his bike once (?) and we became friendly after that. Sadly he wasn't there this time around but it has been a few years. Still dark and candlelit, just how I remember it.

I had my one drink but this time around I couldn't finish it, and you know I'm not going to pound it since I'm not a former Delta or 20-some year old. This stuff needs to be savored. Next time, I'll just have to arrive earlier.

Look forward to trying their sister locations in NYC and Miami.

Very nice, romantic, small bar where you can go with your date at night to chat/hang out. Very romantic due to candlelights everywhere. Nice selection of wine and beer. Prices were fair ($10/beer). We went on a Monday and not many people were there.
