Ive driven by here a bunch of times, but never stopped in.
We were celebrating a good friends birthday and this is where he chose to go, so off we went.
First of all, I love that they have a pool table. Definite thumbs up from me!!
The place was dark and pretty trendy. I always thought it was a drive bar, but its really not. Later into the evening they start playing really good hip hop and top 40's and everyone was dancing. We had an amazing time! They have a full bar and good beers in bottes. The crowd is young and friendly and I think we all had a blast! The bartenders were very attentive and nice and even the bouncers were great. I hate places with douchey bouncers. Can totally ruin a place because they swear they own it and are super rude, lol, but not the Brig.
Good times. May be back again sometime, but Im not the biggest fan of the Abbott Kinney area because of the parking hassle so we'll see, but the Brig is definitely a cool spot
To me this place was disgusting. Â A hole for confused 30's crowd who wants to listen to old 90's music in a crowded dirty environment then stumble outside to a food truck. Â If that's your scene? Â Good luck and have fun. Â But for this neighborhood I would think it's a bit of a disgrace. Â I mean - inside was so packed and the place was FILTHY. Â No air control at all, and just sweaty horny folks all rubbing up against each other. Â Didn't hear one song from this decade. Â It was the worst show of white people dancing anywhere - like rejects who couldn't get in a real club or bar.
I just couldn't get over the dirt.
