Club Good Hurt is a nice twist on traditional dives. The first aide theme, and the nurse's uniforms that the wait staff wears add a bit of fun and a kitsch effect to what would otherwise be just a regular dive bar. Add some of the best local bands to this and you have a recipe for success. There are always different events so check that out before you just show up, since it may not be your cup of tea on that night. I prefer the reggae events. Â Club Good Hurt is really chill and you get all kinds of people there depending on when you go. There isn't much drama, just a nice laid back vibe and music, and that's some pretty good medicine.
Review Source:Only reason I come here is because a friends band plays here pretty often, otherwise don't think I would come to this place. It is in Mar Vista on Venice Blvd. Not sure why they almost always charge cover cuz it is never super packed but I guess they probably have to pay the bands?
It is dingy and divey but at least drinks are pretty cheap for LA. They have a stage and the dance floor is spacy and open, which is nice. Also have a pool table, but I have never used it.
Def not the spot to just hit up if you wanna go out but if you know someone who is playing it is ok.
