If Norm lived in LA, he would go to SF Saloon.  Its a good casual local bar, with a decent menu and kitchen that stays open late (to give you food to absorb the liquor).  Good selection of beer and wine.  Has its own parking lot - a rarity.

Popular with softball crowd, which makes it a bit noisy at times but its big enough you can escape them.

As a diehard Giants fan, I want to give this place a great review but unfortunately the behavior of the bartender, Adam, makes it impossible to do so.

Saturday, July 13th, 2013 Tim Lincecum throws a no hitter. Three of my friends and I sit at a table at the SF Saloon watching the game for a full three hours and ordering hundreds of dollars in food and drinks.

Two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth, with a pitch count of over 140, Lincecum throws a pitch to end his first no hitter in Giant's history and THE BARTENDER CHANGES THE CHANNEL.

    TO SOCCER.

All of us shriek in horror. We just missed the final play of Lincecum's no hitter.

Rather than apologizing, the bartender turns around, points the remote at our table and screams at us to RELAX.

When one of my table mates attempts to clear the air, the bartender angrily tells him to get out of his face and sit down. Another one of my table mates attempts to reason with the bartender. He tells him there's no reason to be upset and that as a fan himself, he should understand our disappointment. All we are looking for is an apology. This bartender refuses saying he's not a fan and wasn't watching the game. It's not his concern.

Last time I checked, this place was called the SF Saloon. The neighborhood bar for SF fans. I would think they would show a little respect.

Clearly, this bar does not live up to what they claim. They aren't in it for the fans. The SF is just a ploy to pull in customers.

And even if this were just another sports bar, I hope that any bar with a modicum of consideration for their customers would not employ a bartender with the manners of Adam.

SF Saloon, you've just lost FOUR loyal customers. Dodger fans, I think I've found your new hang out.
