I had such a great time there, each time better than the last one,the thing about byblos is that the entertainment starts around 10:30 -11:00 and this is a place that you wanna go to if you want have a late night out on a friday or saturday, sunday night.
the food is beyond great, you have to try it,i am personally in love with middle eastern foods and this is the place to go and enjoy the food and the culture.
love it when the singer gets to all the tables and ask where their from and  ask the crowd to welcome the countries.
sum it up this is one my favorite places in westwood and I would love to go there on friday or saturday nights.
the service was always great for my table never had problem with the service.
the reservation was always great for me, but have to know this, they have regular costumers which they show up after 11:30 sometimes I notice they walk in by 12:30  so you  may see reservation signs on some tables and they are empty for the most of the night but trust me they get packed ,this is the middle eastern culture, they eat late dinner and the entertainment goes on till 3 AM in the morning ,alot of people that show up late are middle eastern's and this is how they are used to party.
every-time we went there ,we were all girls and i never once had a problem there, guys bothering us in a rude way or bad manners never.but everyone has a different experience so far mine was always amazing.
and for the hooka lovers you should try the byblos special hooka which is their own secret hooka they won't tell you what the mixture is .it is a  mild hooka so for the ones that love strong hooka's i do not suggest this but for people like me go for it an enjoy the amazing sensation, try their hooka's you will love it.

Our experience at Byblos was a rather interesting one.

The food was very good, as was the service.

What has prompted me to write this review started when I called and asked if a reservation was necessary for Thursday evening.  I was told it was and requested a 6 PM reservation.  They told me they did not open until 7 PM.  There website gives their hours of operation for Thursday as 11am -2am.

We arrived on time to find the restaurant to be completely empty.  We waited about 5 minutes and finally found someone who came from the kitchen and, he was uncertain as to whether or not they were actually open.

Before we placed our orders we showed our server a voucher we intended to use.

The menu stated that "ENTREES ARE SERVED WITH BROILED TOMATOES, PEPPERS, ONION-PARSLEY MIX, RICE, SEASONED PITA AND PICKLED TURNIPS."

I ordered the "BEEF SHAWARMA - MARINATED TOP SIRLOIN STEAK GRILLED AND SERVED WITH ONION MIX, TOMATOES AND TAHINI SAUCE."  My plate arrived with meat that looked and tasted more like a combination of dark and white meat chicken, a mixed green salad with tomato and tahini.  NOTHING ELSE ACCOMPANIED MY DINNER.

My hubby ordered the "SHRIMP SCAMPI - 7 JUMBO SHRIMP MARINATED AND SAUTÉED VEGETABLES."  His plate arrived with 6 jumbo marinated shrimp, a mixed green salad with tomato and flavored rice.  NOTHING ELSE ACCOMPANIED HIS DINNER.

The ONLY accompaniment we were served was very good warm pita bread.

We ordered one dessert to share, Kenafeh, but were served two different desserts on the same plate....Kenafeh and Baklawa.... and were charged for both desserts.

Our bill arrived, but no adjustment had been noted for our voucher.  It took two employees to finally adjust our bill, and they added an 18% gratuity, that was not on our original bill.  The particular voucher we used specifically noted that it was INCUMBENT UPON THE CUSTOMER TO REMEMBER TO ADD THE TIP ACCORDINGLY.

As stated, the food was very good, but what happened when it came to following their own descriptions on their menu as to what they serve with their entrees? How could they have bungled it so badly?

Arrived Saturday night with my gf just past 10pm for dinner. At the time, not many people were in the restaurant but after a few minutes, a lot more people began trickling in. I was informed that in their culture, dinner is usually served very late. The restaurant had live music and a belly dancer show! :) I wish I had been able to enjoy more of the menu but I recently had braces put on so I am unable to chew most foods so my options were limited. I was able to enjoy most everything that I tried: hummus, mutabbal, mousakka, labneh and feta cheese. I had the kebbeh balls (veggie and beef) and cheese bourag. We had a rice pilaf plate with various meats but I was not able to chew them....it included chicken and beef. My friend loved everything! For dessert, had baclava and something with coconut... the cocktails were POTENT! Would love to return! The food is authentic!
