Oh, Coast. Â That beautiful beach view. Â Oh, Coast. Â That disappointing food.
I brought my family to Coast for dineLA. Â We ordered everything off the dinner menu.
APPETIZER: The citrus poached prawns is a salad with shrimp on top. Â The problem was that 2 of the 3 of us who ordered it only got two tiny "shrimp" on our salad. Â The shrimp were smaller than the ones in a mini shrimp cocktail. Â And TWO shrimp? Â C'mon. Â What it really brought it to light was the fact that my dad's salad had 5. Â Why do the other plates only have 2? Â That's a problem. Â The marinated heirloom tomatoes were another story. Â Light and refreshing with a balsamic vinaigrette.
ENTREE: The grilled swordfish was cooked just right, but it didn't have any flavoring. Â The fettuccine was slightly undercooked, but the chunks of short rib were a nice addition to the dish.
DESSERT: The stone fruit cobbler was meh. Â I should've opted for the chocolate brownie, which my dad loved. Â He said it was the best he's ever had. Â The salted caramel ice cream contrasted nicely with the sweetness of the brownie.
OVERALL: I'd give Coast 3 stars, but those damn prawns pissed me off. Â Skip the meal and come enjoy the view with dessert and coffee.
Stopped by this place after our beach event and had some lunch! Everyone was extremely friendly and beyond helpful! It was a very pleasant and welcoming place to dine! We had amazing smoothies pineapple coconut which tasted just like Hawaii! We also ate the chili and corn beef hash and eggs! It was super yummy. More  importantly the customer service was beyond amazing! Thank you!
