was having a hangover day, but still kinda nice cuz made it to the beach. CHEERS FOR THE WORST SERVICE IN THE CITY, bartender was the meenest person ever, such a fucking dushbag unbelievable. Dude I give you money for that shit. I curse that place for the worst hospitality...long way to go!

On Saturday, July 20, 2013 my companions and I were transported back to the tense 1920s American atmosphere at the Santa Monica Yankee Doodles with the aid of night manager Jairo and his head of security.  
At  22:47 myself and 3 of my companions (one who is in the military)  were deterred from entering by night manager Jairo under the false pretense of an invalid ID. The manager approached us before we could enter making us feel racially profiled. Disregarding my knowledge of California Penal codes and Ids the manager changed his story from the ID being slightly perforated into that it did not belong to the owner of the drivers license, until a credit card was pulled to corroborate the IDs validity rather than using a UV scanner. Maintaining his capricious attitude the Security guard then began to patronize us in an attempt to draw us from our character while we sought clarity from the manager. The discussion with respect to why our fourth companion would not be allowed in remained auspicious to the level that we finally recognized the real issue. It can be concluded that Jairo under the employ of Yankee Doodles did not feel comfortable allowing 3 African American males (despite their level of education or employ) into the restaurant.
With recent tension regarding the Trayvon Martin verdict it is unsettling to have racial profiling thriving in an establishment frequented by both locals and tourists in 2013.
