Best fast food place ever. I'm not a fan of chain and I'm less of a fan of fast food, but Panda is a winner. The orange chicken is everyone's favorite. They easily sell twice as much of that as anything else.
My favorites are the noodles, orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and beijing beef. I like that you can get noodles, fried rice, or steamed rice and up to three dishes. I like the variety. The beijing beef is spicy, the orange chicken is sweet with a bit of spice, and the mushroom chicken is very mild.
Favorite fast food drink is their peach green tea. I so wish I could buy this in a store, but it appears to be exclusively available at Panda.
I love to cook, I love to eat, I love great food. Â So...when I got to Panda Express People always laugh at me. Mostly being asian. Asian people laugh at me and lately i have noticed many other cultures do too. It is known as the white people asian food apparently. Â Sometimes though I just crave some rice and the food at Panda express is always consistent and it doesn't feel greasy. I would agree that it's not authentic by any means at all....BUT, Most of them have a drive through which I LOVE! This particular one on the south side did a special request for me when I wanted just broccoli and mushroom and he made it so delicious and gave me a whole container of it as my second entree. Â Couldn't love them more! The white rice is delicious with any of their sauces, but my favorite thing there is the walnut shrimp. Â Simply divine. Â Lightly battered shrimp in a light honey sauce with a few walnuts thrown in. Â It doesn't have much of a sauce and it's an extra dollar since it's shrimp, but it is delicious!!!! If you are going in to pick your food, make sure if it looks dry, it is - and don't get it. Â Simple as that!
Review Source:The food is just OK but hey, it's fast food. They charge a dollar extra for each shrimp entree which makes my two entree plate $7.99 instead of $5.99. The last time I had fried rice, it was bland and dry. I had to add my own soy sauce at home.
I saw Dav W. mentioned the "prompt" service. I've had the exact opposite experience. I always wait a long time at the drive-through. Since the food is already made just sitting there waiting to be dished out, I'm not sure why that is.
Decent Americanized (cheap, processed, sweet) food, but the service is really sub-standard. Â Never a smile, only a mock faceplate of civility. Â Always out of something, condiment stand always out of something, yadda, yadda. Â It sounds like a management problem to me. Â I say avoid until things improve.
Review Source:Love, love, love the prompt service, 98% correct orders (mistakes will happen with "fast food"; it's just simple odds), excellent customer service, and tasty food. Â My regular dish is 2 entree double orange chicken with steamed rice. Â If you're not using chopsticks, then you're only tainting the flavor. Â I firmly believe eating Asian food with the proper utensils only adds to the flavor and experience.
Review Source:Being Asian I get made fun at for going to Panda Express, I know it's not really authentic Chinese food. Â I can't help it I really like their orange chicken and chow mein noodles! Â So every time I pass by a Panda express I would get a craving. Â This location is pretty nice because they have a drive-thru. Â The service was pretty fast and they were really friendly. Â Didn't have any complaints about my food because I got a fresh batch.
Review Source:Great new addition to the southside! My husband and I love to swing by for some great Chinese -a great alternative to some of the sketchy local Chinese buffets. I also love the price, you can get two entrees and one side for around $5 -plenty of food for two! I absolutely love their spicy orange chicken. Sometimes the rice is a little dry, but that is my only complaint. Fast and friendly service and clean, enjoyable restaurant.
