Panera Bread

I stop at this store on my way to work almost every day.  The staff is awesome and the food is sometimes better than other Panera stores.  Most all of the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed.

We were on our way home from the doctor's office and decided that I needed some form of healthy sustenance to battle the cold so we just stopped in here.  And to my delight, I saw the new lobster roll!  I wasn't feeling particularly voracious but felt determined to do a lobster roll justice, especially since I had not had one in so long (D'Angelo's, where are thou when I needeth thou most?!).  It was very pricey at $16.99 but if you get half as a combo with a soup or salad, you add $7 to the base price of the combo.  We both decided to get the combo with a soup (Chicken noodle for moi since that's what parents love to order for their kids when they aren't feeling well) and sesame bagel (cashier was very good about letting me get that rather than a baguette).  The lobster roll was good, let me just say.  There wasn't a lot of actual salad between the rather thick ciabatta roll but what was there was savory, light, and full of chunks of actual claw meat.  There was only a touch of mayo and no celery, thank goodness.  It's not as creamy as the Boston-style sandwiches at D'Angelo's but it's pretty damn good for a chain located on the Main Line in PA.  Apparently, it's only available until Labor Day so I would get one while you can.  Personally, I still prefer D'Angelo's or even Au Bon Pain's (that's because Boston is close to mi corazon) but I will take a lobster roll in any form.
