Took a business associate here for dinner recently. Pro's - nice room, decent service, location, room to spread out and time/quiet enough to have a conversation compared to some of the busier spots along 202/252. The sushi was a little worse than ok, but not bad. Sushi requires good fish, yes, but at the end of the day, its about the rice the how things are pulled together. The fish here was ok, but not remarkably fresh and some was too cold, the rice was subpar. Beer and liquor selections appeared to be limited.
Review Source:We went for a birthday party and could not have asked for more. The décor was very nice and relaxing. The dining area was spacious. The servers were very attentive and friendly and didn't rush us. My sister knows sushi and she said it was ok, which means it was very good. She is hard to please. My only complaint was my peking duck was a bit overcooked, but being that this is not a duck house, I can understand that. They can't plan a meal that takes 2 hours to cook. I understand. And my wraps were a bit dry. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. The water was refilled quickly. Everything was just as would be expected of a high end restaurant like this. For the price, if something was wrong there would be a problem and I went in with high expectations and was not disappointed.
If I could give them 4.5 stars for the duck I would but I strayed to the 5 stars because the food and service was really excellent.
And I always wonder where people are eating when they give a place like this 1 star.
