I come here 2-3 times a week with coworkers and sometimes, as today, by myself.
I went in and sat at the bar as I was alone and ordered my usual, the beef sliders. They're usually awesome, plentiful, hot. Today not so much.
I really like this place. It's right around the corner from the building I work in so it's convenient and friendly, usually, and my coworkers and I enjoy the atmosphere. In today's experience I had the worst service I have ever received there. The bartender was listed on the receipts as "Krystin", however she never introduced herself to me, that's not such a big deal but along with everything else I felt it needed pointing out. She was short and unwelcoming, I sat down and ordered a water, immediately she became disinterested with me.. I get that I'm sitting at the bar, but I was alone and didn't want to take up a table and I would LOVE to have had a drink but as I was on my lunch break I couldn't, you understand?
So I ordered the sliders medium per her inquiry and with American cheese. The sliders took over 20 mins, but on account that The Office is so close to work I didn't think too much into it, that is, until I received my meal. The burgers were so well done they were crunchy on the sides and tough. Whatever, I have limited time and though well done isn't preferred it's certainly not the end of the world. Then I went to put some condiments on my sliders and I saw that the cheese was not melted, just sitting on top of the burnt sliders, cold. Not okay. Whatever, remember, limited time. I'm not sure if the portions have changed but the fries were significantly shorthanded compared to when I went earlier this week, and not hot, so, I'm wondering if maybe they were what was left in the fry bowl.

The entire time the bartender looked at me but did not ask how anything was. I didn't want to complain, I was going to eat it anyway, but she completely ignored me, until the very end when she finally asked how the sliders were. I just nodded, as I had eaten the better portion of it and in that case you really don't have a right to complain... Once I was finished I put all of my silverware and napkins on the plate and pushed it forward so it was easily accessible from the other side of the bar. My water glass was empty for some time by now and I thought that when she saw my plate she would see the empty glass and fill it.
Since I didn't finish my food I was going to have a cup of coffee and maybe something sweet, but when the bartender saw my plate she printed my receipt and dropped it off without a word before taking the plate away. I guess coffee and dessert are not an option at the bar?
By this time I still did not have a refill on water, so before the bartender went outside (she had asked a co-worker to watch the bar for her) I asked her to fill it. The fountain gun was directly in front of me, she picked up my glass obligingly and put water in it, then set it back down, just over HALF FULL. I could not believe it. I know it's not that big of a deal, however I could not believe that I had to ASK her to refill my drink and then when she did she didn't even fill it! I suppose she was too concerned with going wherever she had to go.
I really like this place, and I will be back as I do like the food (the BBQ pork sliders are awesome too), however I will be sure to steer clear of the bar if I see this particular person tending, I don't deserve bad service just because I drink water over lunch, if that's even the reason.
Also, I left her over 20%, (my bill was 8.48 with tax and I left her 2.00) however whenever I go there I normally tip a minimum of $5 no matter how small my bill is because that is just a rule of my own, which most people appreciate.

    Terrific, family-friendly restaurant.

On our first visit, my husband and I left the kiddos at home for date night. We came on a Thursday night, not too crowded, got a table pretty quickly. The service was super - very quick and the server answered lots of questions (I have food allergies so I generally have to ask a lot of questions on a first visit). Food was delicious. Drinks menu was terrific, good selection of beer on tap.

My second visit was without my husband but kids in tow. The kids were thrilled with the kids menu though my oldest opted out (she was *really* in the mood for a chicken burrito). We were in a bit of a rush because it was late and our server couldn't be more accommodating. The food was great. I had the veggie wrap and it was fresh and delicious. This was my second vegetarian option (last time, I got the veggie burger) and I was really happy both times. My kids and husband are big carnivores and appreciated the burgers. The chx burrito was pretty big so we took about half of it home (it was so good, my daughter asked if she could take it to school tomorrow).

The restaurant was clean and the folks were so nice. There was coloring and activity mats for kiddos if you want (my oldest did not). The entertainment was pretty quiet, which I appreciate. We watched a bit of the Phillies game during dinner, I normally hate TVs in a restaurant but I give a pass on baseball.

Definitely making this one of our regular spots. The kids were very complimentary (and my kids can be critics) and it was the kind of place that I feel like I could come back with or without the whole family.

This place is the perfect spot for me to grab a burger between work and class. I was happy to find the bartender was friendly, and quick to refill my cola. The burger I got was pretty good and the fries were excellent. I'm definitely becoming a regular.
