Is Lexington trying to make a play for my affection? After all these years?! I met some high school friends here on a Friday night while home during holiday break and we had a great time: drinks were fun (a Kentucky vodka? Yes!) and I think I had several of the Parlay Socialiates. The first of the Socialites were fantastic, but then it was as if they switched bartenders because the next ones weren't as awesome, but they were good enough. The band was fun and not too crowded. I love it that downtown Lexington has this option: a classy, grown up bar where you can have good drinks, catch up with beloved friends and get down on the dance floor if you're so moved.

Great live music. Food(oysters and meat/cheese tray) were perfect.  Highly recommend for adult crowd.  Great bourbon selection and good service.

Excellent bourbon selection. Cool vibe, even on a Monday night. Mellow and sophisticated. Would return again.

I've only been to Parlay Social a handful of times, since I'm not in town often...That said, every time I've been in there, it's been pretty dead.  I know it gets packed, and that's great for them...but I don't see the appeal.  There's nothing really special about it, other than the fact that it's located adjacent to restaurants/bars that are better and often more crowded.  I feel like it's become popular because it's a place to go when Dudley's, Cheapside, 310, and Village Idiot are full.

I was there around 11:30 on a Thursday and there was no one in the place, except for the musicians who were packing up.  The manager was super nice and encouraged us to come in for a drink, which we did.  I ordered a top-shelf tequila and soda and drank it while I chatted with a friend.  The drink was done in like, less than 5 minutes.  I chalked it up to being the first drink of the night...but the second drink was going down just as fast!  I asked my friend to try it, and he agreed with me that it tasted as though it barely had any tequila in it.  It was like I was just drinking a glass of soda.   I asked for another and watched the bartender carefully pour the tiniest amount of tequila into my 3rd weak drink.  I called him out and he said "I guarantee that if I measured, it'd be 2 ounces!"  To which I responded, "Well, maybe you should be measuring it, because that looks and tastes totally weak and I'm paying for top-shelf booze".  He didn't do anything but give me less soda.

I'm not complaining because I had one weak drink.  I just thought it was ridiculous that he didn't know how to pour a drink, let alone respond to a customer who had no problem paying for top shelf liquor (along with buying drinks for 2 other people) but didn't feel like they were getting what they were paying for.

Dude, just 'cause you wear a vest and your'e behind a bar, doesn't mean that you're a good bartender.

This is a fun place to go especially during their live music happy hour. The service is good and the crowd is great. I tried their gourmet grilled cheese and it was delish.

Went out exploring Lexington on a Wednesday night and decided to check this place out due to the other yelp! reviews.

Live music on a Wednesday night was a pleasant surprise. As a bonus the band was good.

Sat at the bar to get the bartenders recommendations which was a great decision. I tried a cucumber martini and my friend tried a bourbon he suggested. Both were delicious.

We had the Hot Brown pizza. So good!

    Would definitely come back.

Great place, great atmosphere, don't have to worry about college frat/sorority-fest, mature upscale crowd. Great live music, but hey I'm biased, I play there once a month. :)

Highly recommend this locally owned pub.  Good menu, great spirit selection.  Prices are reasonable, service is quick and sociable.  The owner, Bob, took the time to chat and make us welcome.  Check it out!

I sat with the owner Bob Estes. He was very friendly. This is an upscale atmosphere with plenty of great food and drinks available. After the UK game was over the music started. Relaxing and Fun. I highly recommend Parlay Social.

If you're looking for an upscale, non-kiddy atmosphere with live music, then this is your place.....
    Good cocktail selection.
    Plenty of Bourbon.
Decent variety of beer (about 6 on tap with the usual suspects in the bottle)
Food menu was just released.  Upscale pub fare.  Thin crust pizza.  Different grilled cheeses.  Meat and cheese trays.  "New York Deli" style sandwiches.
When there is an act playing, you can either get up close and dance a little, or retreat somewhere else and listen while carrying on a conversation.
Can get a little packed on the weekends, because its located in a busy bar destination.
Located adjacent to a very nice restaurant "Dudley's" so it's a perfect date-night-combo with dinner at Dudley's then walk right next door to Parlay for a nightcap.
