Petra's Bistro & Wine Bar

AMAZING!

Dined here on7/5 late evening. This place was fantastic. The owners were friendly and so was all the wait staff. I had the crab cakes (3!) which were fantastic. Shared the brie stack (also amazing, the vanilla sauce it comes with was so flavorful). And lastly the beet salad. The beet salad was good, but if someone was ordering it for their entire meal, it may be a little small. This isn't really a complaint- just a suggestion, but they should offer more vegetarian options for their entrees. I don't think there was anything truly vegetarian.

I would come back in a second if I went back to Mammoth Lakes.

We looked fNice wine list. I had the gnocchi and a salad and both were very good. I think it must be one of the top 2-3 dinning alternatives in town.

Petra's never disappoints.   The small dishes are creative and tasty.  I cannot say what to order because I've never had anything I have not been pleased with.   I especially like that you can order 1/2 glasses from the extensive wine list.  Unless I'm with somebody, I normally eat at the bar and meet locals and many happy travelers.
