Picked this place for dinner with my family as it is located in the Village and we enjoy this type of food. I was concerned about the service after reading some reviews, but must say that my experience was very good. The restaurant is a little of the beaten path on the back side of the Village from Minaret road, so the place is pretty quiet with nice outdoor seating. We ordered a cheese Fondue and crepes and they all were really tasty. We found the service again real friendly and all had a great time! The free sangria offer when you check-in is also big and delicious!
Review Source:The food? Good. The service? Pretty bad.
Came here for happy hour which included a very limited selection of beers and a few wines. The food menu happy hour selection includes paninis/savory crepes, a side selection or a dessert crepe for $10. I chose the club panini and opted for the ciabatta for $1.50 more. It was well made and tasted freshly made. As for my second option, I chose the nutella crepe. Honestly, even if you make a crepe really poorly, the nutella will mask that. But it wasn't the case here luckily. Everything about my crepe from the powdered sugar down to the chewy consistency of my crepe was delicious!
But before we began our meal, we ordered the spinach artichoke dip. It is not your typical everyday dip. It's small. And not worth getting. It didn't maintain the right consistency throughout the dip, chunky and clumpy in one dip, cheese and smooth in another.
Now on to the service. Why is it so bad? There is absolutely no level of professionalism here. You have the waiter's friends coming in and out of here talking, chilling, smoking around the area. Then you have the waiter himself. He's neither rude nor obnoxious, he just lacks any professionalism. He reminds me of a snowboard instructor, even though it's clearly summer and he doesn't have to stand with his legs wide open while taking our order.
Note: double check your receipt. The waiter calculated something wrong, took it back, and gave it to us again without telling us what had happened. We also he still calculated it wrong by charging us $7 for the soup when it should have been $2 since we ordered the Cobb salad, which I found to be pretty tasty. But the soup... we could've passed on the vegetable puree soup.
