Campo is a great place in the Village the ambiance gets 5 stars, there is nothing like sitting by a fire-pit and drinking a glass of wine or beer (Mammoth IPA)! The service is 3 stars and the food was good but not excellent.  I think sometimes The Village take advantage of the people staying with "well where else are you going to go?". We went to Campo twice this past week and the both times we had to ask for the check and then still waited over 15 min for it to come.  Our drink order took about 15 min to arrive when the place was 1/4 full. OK the food, GOOD! Had the Kale salad great and filling dressing was light since the poached egg gave it the creaminess. We ordered a pizza both times Margarita and great crust, but lacked a little salt. Next, we had the risotto with corn and asparagus (lacked on the asparagus, see other review below), al dente for the rice which is good. My husband got two pasta dish Spaghetti and meatballs good but again lacking a little salt and second night we split the Gnocchi which was actually pretty good the lemon gave it the acid it needed. Overall, Campo is good and  convenient if your in The Village - would I go again, sure... would I go somewhere else, sure. Â
PS. Campo needs to change Happy Hour times in Mammoth vs. Reno - ends way to early. A lot of other places to go within The Village or Mammoth that has better.
Yum! Try the califlower appetizer! Â The mixed drinks were fun and I liked my spagetti and meatballs. Â I like that you can order a small or large on the pasta dishes. I hate when restaurants give GIANT portions so I ordered the small and it was perfect. Â I thought my main meal was a "B" but the appetizers were "A's" and the service was good too. I live in LA so I would give this place 4 stars in LA because Los Angeles just has so many great places but for Mammoth this is definitely 5 stars. Â It is hard to find a place with food this fresh and interesting dishes like these in the mountains :)
