We came to Happy Hour on a Friday and much to my amazement, it was very quiet.  We read some reviews, not very positive, but since we had never been, we would give it a try.  Alanna, our server, was awesome, the drinks were very good, my wife's chicken wings were great but my Kailua pork quesadilla was terrible, hardly any pork in it and was not worth the price. If we go back, it will be for the service and drinks.

Stopped in for lunch.  We all loved the food.  Only four stars due to a real musty smell throughout the place.

Went in today to have their awesome pittsburger.  After waiting for 20 min for someone to take our order, we found out the menu has totally changed.  No more pittsburger and under new management.  The menu has changed to more of a bland cookie cutter menu.  This place is no longer recommended by me and left me really disappointed.

Cheap drafts and margaritas during happy hour, 3-6:30pm every day.

Coconut shrimp was pretty good.  Service okay.  Overall the place has gotten a little run down since I left Oahu in 2004.  Needs some work.  But still a good happy hour since we happened to be in the neighborhood.

Food is ok. Had the burger and it was frozen processed meat. Probably wouldn't go back again. Cute good looking staff, but no personalities.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant because it is close to MCBH. We love the Kalua Pig Nachos and always bring friends to try the nachos. Its a hit or miss with the service. Great sometimes...horrible other times.

Margaritas are good. drinks good. FOod is good if you know what to order.

    They have a great breakfast!

My husband and I were driving around Kailua looking for a place to eat. He used to go to a restaurant in the 80's, in the same location of Pinky's and loved it. So we tried Pinky's.
We were warmly greeted by a friendly hostess and seated quickly in a booth.  Our waitress was friendly too and took our order fast. We were hungry!
My husband ordered a hamburger at around $15 with fries and I ordered the surf and turf, 4 coconut shrimps and an 8 oz prime rib for $25. My husband enjoyed his hamburger, but said anyone can make a good burger. My surf and turf was a major disappointment! The delicious things on my plate were the coconut shrimp, but they were small. I wish I had a few more and surprisingly the broccoli. There were broccoli pieces on my plate that were cooked perfectly. They were deep green, hot and seasoned perfectly.
Okay, for the not so good things, my baked potato was dry and not hot at all on the inside. It seemed like it was cooked days before and just nuked in the microwave oven.  The worst part was the prime rib! It was tough, dry and not tasty at all. The food did not seem fresh.
I didn't want to complain but I did ask if my potato could be heated more.
When we walked out, passed the hostess desk, there were 2 hostesses and a tall guy. None of them thanked us for coming or said "Come again".  There was a sign on the front door and bathroom saying they were striving to become Windward's best family restaurant. I think they have a long way to go.

A friend and I decided to check this place out after a hike and a quick dip in the ocean.  We arrived a lil after opening and were greeted.  The waitress said we could sit any where so we sat where we could watch the womens championship basketball game.  After sitting she brought us waters and our menus along with the Happy Hour menu.  I decided to order the Pupu style Ahi Belly and Kalua Pig Nachos.  My friend ordered the Kalbi plate.

Food didnt take long to receive.  When our waitress brought our order, my friend was amazed by the amount given.  Mind you he is a good 200+ 6'5" guy.  The Kal Bi Plate was loaded with Kal Bi.  Loaded enough he couldnt finish.  He said it was very good and he wasnt gonna complain being he actually got full.  As for my order, i expected something that wouldnt really fill me.  No I can eat for my size which is a lil more than half of what my friend weighs.  Eating the Nachos and Ahi Belly, it was actually filling me up.  I have heard about there nachos so wanted to try it.  I can honestly say I enjoyed what I ordered and was pretty filled.

Only thing bad I have to say is that when we arrived and while we were there, it wasnt busy at all.  When the waiter asked if my friend wanted more water, she took a lil long to bring it  and my friend was about to drink mines.  Other than that quality, price, and what not I cant complain.

Service was a little slow but that was because there was only a bartender and 1 server but they did their best. The food was super good and large portions. I had the pinkys margarita which I highly recommend I would have gone back if we had discovered this place earlier, not the last day =(

After reading all the mixed reviews on Pinky's, I was scared.  Very scared.  However.. in the end, we were very pleasantly surprised!  The service was as good as it gets.  The manager and hostess both greeted us immediately and sat us right down.  The manager came over to give us the menus and tell us to please contact him if we needed anything.  Waitress came over promptly and took perfect care of us.. even getting in another round of happy hour priced drinks a few minutes after it ended.  The happy hour specials were great.  I mean seriously.. what do you people want?  It's an awesome location right on the canal in Kailua with open architecture, tons of TVs to watch the games, cheap happy hour specials and great service.  No, it's not Roy's.. but it isn't claiming to be.  HIGHLY recommended for what it is.  Don't believe the naysayers on here.

This is the very first place we went to when we moved here. That was over 6 moths ago and my memory of it was that it was standard bar food and kid friendly. It's not someplace that I would actually choose to go to. Tonight, after a nice day on the North Shore with a visiting family we decided to head over there. We had 6 kids with us and 4 tired adults. It was a Sunday night and I frankly wasn't expecting much beyond the fried chicken strips that kid number 3 always wants. We were very pleasantly surprised.

So, what did we have? A little but of everything, but here were the highlights:

    1) Poke - maybe the best we have had anywhere. Seriously.
    2) Fish taco's - wife really liked them. Get the grilled not fried (thanks to the waitress who suggested that). We actually had two orders of them
    3) I had fish and chips - crispy fries, good fish and the right kind of vinegar.
    4) Fried rice - a plate as big as someone's head. Not too greesy, just good flavor
    5) Did I mention the poke?

Beer was cold, we got seated quickly and the wait staff did a decent job keeping all happy. We drove home and I said I was shocked at how good it was. And on a Sunday night no less when generally some places go to their 2nd string. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but if the food continues to be this quality I can see paying a few bucks extra.

"Meh, I've experience better" pretty much sums it up. Overpriced and underwhelming.
Its too bad, as I really wanted to like this place. I'm pretty unfussy, and I've eaten at really lowbrow places with absolute glee. I am easily impressed and its pretty hard to make me think negatively of a place. But um, good job Pinkys! You succeeded.

Came here to get pupus and watch the game. The hostess seemed really detached and said, uh seat yourself around a TV then. We sat down at a table that hadn't been bussed yet. When the server came to our unbussed table and made no move to bus it, I mean, fine. Then she offered us chips and salsa as if they were complimentary, which they aren't, which is a dirty trick. But then when she brought us the chips and salsa, she STILL didnt bus the table or send a busser over! That's bad service.

The worst was just when we got our food. How do you make bad Kalua pork? I guess you make it dry, without cabbage or sauce or any seasoning, and serve it unceremoniously, plopped on a plate next to white rice without garnish.

Its not going to scar me for life and if everyone I was with was really pumped to eat here, I'd go. But its nothing to write home about, and I felt sad that I wasted a night out with junk food calories and lots of beer at such a sub par place.

This place has really turned it around but it was a little slow for a Friday night. Live music was good but ended before 9pm.. Huh? I ordered the grilled blackened Mahi. Can't believe I am saying this but it's some of the best fish I've had on the island. Food took a while to come out, but our waitress was attentive and acknowledged this, albeit a little forgetful at times (2 of our party had French fries as part of their meal but couldn't get a bottle of ketchup until they were almost done over 30 min later). Fish tacos were a-ok. There must be new management and a new chef because everyone seems happier and the food has greatly improved. Glad we gave this place a second chance.  They also have a sizeable military discount! We will be back!

This place is turning it around. There appear to be new managers that are always present and are very helpful. Since my first review I have become a regular customer because of this. I can even tell that the staff likes the new management.
    They have improved greatly!
They need to recover the chairs in the lounge area though, as they are still full of holes.

I don't know why I keep trying to enjoy an experience here. I've lived here for a year, been to this place ten-ish times and consistently get let disappointed with the horrible service. So much potential for this place but poor management and cute girls that are overwhelmed by the large sections and poor bar layout. I sat at my table patently and quietly for 21 minutes without even being greeted by a waitress or bartender before getting up and informing the manager that I was leaving. I have 8 years in the restaurant business and cannot help but feel really bad for the servers and management that could be making so much more money if they knew how to run their business.

One of the best bars for Monday night football in the Aikahi, Kailua area.  There are many more bars to choose from in Kailua town, but I like the crowd and the atmosphere at Pinky's.  We watched the Dallas vs Chicago game last night and there was a good mix of fans from both teams and it was loud, but not in a bad way.  It was a terrible game for Tony Romo :(

Their Happy Hour includes pitchers of Bud or Bud light for $6, but only during the game.  We ordered a couple more pitchers for the table during the last call.  The edamame (soy beans) were cooked and seasoned perfectly, we devoured a couple of baskets.  We also ordered the sauteed mushrooms with extra cheese (so yummy) and the nachos, which are loaded with meat, cheese, and salsa.

They have a nice dinner menu, but I went there just to watch the game.

Okay so I've been wanting to go back to Pinky's for the longest time since it's been years since my last time there.  Now I know the ownership probably has changed and that it would not be the same as I remember but....  Went for breakfast the Sunday before NFL season starts so no crowd.  At all.  We were the only customers in there except for a guy that was talking story with the waitresses and bartender.

Server was friendly and quick to come to take our order but when the coffee came out it was just lukewarm.  Ordered the macadamia nut pancakes - it was just regular pancakes with mac nuts thrown on top, the butter was like they just sliced a cold stick of butter and plopped it down so you could not even spread it on to your pancakes.  C'mon at least bring some whipped butter.  But the pancakes were good, not spectacular.

Asked our waitress if she could just zap our coffees in the microwave but then she said she would start a new pot instead.  Kalua Pork omelet also came out but did not have much taste and was just bland.  By the time we left we still did not get that coffee heated up.

I guess the owner's should ask why would anyone choose to go here when 10 minutes away you could be at Cinnamon's or Moke's for breakfast?  That is if you are not there to watch the games.

This place is like a bad rash that keeps coming back...I just can't get rid of it...So what do I mean by that???

Well, my friends in Kailua keep telling me to meet them there because the games are on or to have a drink, I always keep coming back here just like I always keep going back to my drunk girlfriend that I can't stand, except in bed...Yeah great...I love going to a place where the crowds are washed up, over the hill drunk Haole holes filled with Beer belly Boi's and PMSing Cougars ready to pounce on the first piece of fresh meat that comes through the doors.

These people live in their own dimension...another place, another time...it's a Kailua crowd lost in the fabrics of space...waste of space that is.

The Service, the Food, just BAD..seriously who friggin cares anyway...I told my friends I'll meet them at the beach for now on...After last weeks meetup with my friends I'm just done with this place for good. I can't believe I keep showing up here for them!

I don't often CRAP ON A BUSINESS and I know my 3 strike rule is engraved in my forehead, but this place has had about 12...I have nothing positive to say about this place...I will NEVER come here by my own choosing...ever.

If you LOVE going to a DUMP, well this is the place to take one after you eat the crap they serve. I'm sure that Cougar that picks you up won't mind if you wait and take a dump at her place...anything to get out of there ASAP!

EMBARRASSING...the operation and the people who show up here.

My visiting friend and I decided to take a drive up the Pali Highway last night to "see what's there".  After stopping at the Lookout and taking some photos, we continued up the Pali into Kailua.

We saw Pinky's Pupu Bar and Grill and decided the name of the joint was enough to draw us in.

My friend had a beer and I had the house Cabernet, and it was during Happy Hour with one minute to spare :-)

We shared the Sweet & Spicy Edamame and I had the Kalua Pork Quesadilla on the Pupu menu and my friend had the chop salad.

Food was good, but nothing spectacular.  Would I return?  Yeah, probably if I was in the area, but there are other places that I'd like to try too.

OK, so I recently gave Pinky's a second chance since it's right outside base.

I like that Pinky's is convenient and happy hour prices can't be beat.

The 4 stars alone go to the kalua pork and the happy hour.  That's it.

The kalua pork dish offered a side of macaroni pasta, tomato salad and pork.   The beers on special include coors light and blue moon.  Yummy.  The rest of the menu looked 'meh'.  There was nothing on there that caught my attention.

My only gripe was the bartender. She was rude. She told my buddy to turn off his phone because it was making beeping noises.  She wasn't even polite about it.  And then totally ignored us when we wanted to order more drinks. But that's OK though- we saved money on tip!

    Don't waste your time!
I used to love Pinky's until last month, then I gave it a second chance tonight....
No fish, wrong order, couldn't make our drinks right, bad appetizers, coke was flat and Andy, the waitress in a sweat shirt,... just thought making it right was more of what they forgot. And the staff was rude.

I'll never come back and give my gift certificates to people I don't like.
I've never had good service here and they don't seem to care. New Management or not, this place is terrible. I've thought to myself that if I got a job here I'd make a lot of money with professionalism and a sense of urgency.

The sad thing is, that we chose this place because we wanted something close, and we knew it sucked, but we went anyways. I regret my tip b/c they deserve nothing but the truth is.. they have a lot of opportunity but they chose to give mediocre service, and lost.

    Goodbye Pinky's.....

I hardly go to Kailua....but every time I pass by Pinky's and my dad is in the car, he always points it out and suggests we go. We finally have the chance to go while Obama was in town (I almost ran over his barricade, making a U-turn....remember, I hardly ever go to Kailua and missed the parking lot entrance).

The food was nothing too memorable, and my brother's pork sandwich didn't come out with the cole slaw. I'm kind of a cole slaw snob and wanted to try it.....It was disappointing.

Btw, they have a coupon in the Entertainment dine-out book thing. The specifics of the coupon were a little confusing, even the waiter wasn't really sure what you had to order in order to use it (ex: sandwiches don't count as entrees)

My husband and I tend to come here for football games on saturday and sunday. We know the bartenders and so we usually get to watch whatever games we want to on tv. The service from the bartenders is great if you're sitting at the bar. The service from the waiters when you're sitting at the tables is a whole OTHER story.

We tend to get pupu's while we're watching games. The brick oven cooked pizza is great and is usually served only after 3 pm. The nachos are usually shared because it is a HUGE mound. Wings are only okay  because there is a lot of breading on them. They are on the bigger side though. Onion rings are kind of a crap shoot because they can be really good or really greasy.

After reading the mixed bag of reviews about this place, I am torn as I write this.  Was it as bad as people say it was?  Not for us.  We have come to Pinky's on more than one occasion and for the life of me, I don't know if those people just have bad luck, bad karma or something else because on all the occasions we have gone, the food has been good and so has the service.

Went there last night with friends and we had a mixed bag of food from pupus to entrees.  We had onion rings, fries and kalua pig nachos for pupus and all were tasty.  The rest of us had the prime rib (delicious but the au jus was a tad salty), the special which was panchetta wrapped shrimp with pasta (which was as ono as the server said it was), sirloin steak (one of us ordered it well done and it was done to perfection & it WASN'T dry, but moist inside), an ahi salad, and mozzarella/tomato salad.  We ended up with desserts that ranged from a brownie sundae to a macadamia pie (which was like a pecan pie, sans the pecans & sub the mac nuts).  Both of which were delicious.

I would also like to comment that the server was also very friendly and did the best she could with the crowd that was there.  I would give her props but none of the servers have name tags.

The place was the busiest and noisiest I have ever seen which is good for their business. It is Labor Day Weekend, the UH/Colorado game was playing (UH won and spanked Colorado) and there was a live Jazz band.

All in all, we all had a good time.  Food was good, service was good and I would definitely go back again.

Alright, I know there weren't many good reviews for Pinky's I read all the Yelps and found myself torn between going along with my BF's gift of Ribs for my Birthday dinner or say "Uh, hello I don't think so.". But, because he's a keeper, I decided to go with the flow, ebb.

Atmosphere: "Hey, I'm Kailua Guy" (with the wink, Aloha shirt, and Sunburned skin from having a great day drinking and laying in the Sun) kinda crowd here. Not bad in my book. Drinks in the Sun? count me in.

Service: We had a server with Blonde hair, blue eyes, and a great smile. Her service was definitely up to my standards. My beer was always full, and the BF always had Iced Tea in his glass, so two thumbs up.

Food: We both had the Ribs. They were good. Not fall off the bone, but tender and tasty.

With all that said, I had a nice time eating ribs, having beers, and did I mention we were seated by the windows facing the canal and were able to see all the Canoe Paddlers coming through. Very nice touch.

I recently moved back to Kailua after living in Ewa Beach for many years, and I decided to try Pinky's with the family since someone told me it was a pretty decent place to eat in Kailua. Boy was this person wrong.

When we arrived there, there was one couple ahead of us waiting for a table. Both of our parties were seated within about five minutes - OK that was decent.

After sitting at the table for 10 minutes, the server finally came around to take our drink orders. Another 10 minutes passed before she brought them to the table. She said she would be back to take our food orders . . . she came back after another 10 minutes of waiting. At this point we were all starving and probably should have just left.

I looked over and saw the couple that was seated right before us already paying their bill. At this point we were waiting 30 minutes for the food, and still nothing, and no sign of our server to ask where it is. Not to mention, she did not even come around to see if we wanted more drinks/refills. We were so thirsty, my husband and I both resorted to drinking water (that I brought from home) out of our daughter's sippy cup.

Finally the food came after 45 minutes. This was totally unacceptable. It was such a waste of time to just sit there and hurry up and wait well over an hour for something that should have taken 15 minutes.

At least the food tasted decent - but I'm not sure if it was because I was sooooo incredibly starving when it came. Because of this bad experience, I will never go back, even if it is close to my house. Big thumbs down. :(

Despite the fact that twice in  two years I have contracted food poisoning from this restaurant, I still ironically find myself dragging my lazy ass back ( this is most likely because it is in walking distance to my house).

I strictly come here for the 4-6:30 happy hour. The pitchers and schooner prices are decent . Usually they offer a poorly made signature drink on special  for around $5 called the " Shakarita" which is chock - full of high fructose corn syrup I assume  and a 90% mixer to alcohol ratio. Blue Moon tends to be the most common beer on special.
There are no pupu specials during happy hour. Service is usually quite good, with the exception of when there are larger parties at happy hour, therefore, they are less attentive. Avoid this place like the plague around dinner hour if you have an aversion to   servers singing happy birthday, conga lines, blowing of conch shells and everyone's favorite the clown who makes ballooon animals.

Food is very overpriced for the quality. If you are a tourist  passing through Kailua head to Lucy's ( a step above) which offers a top notch Ahi Tower  or to Buzz's Steak House.

Living on the base in K-bay, Pinky's is right out the back gate and seemed like a decent option on a night when it was either Kahuna's on base or Pinky's. My hubs had warned me that is wasn't anything great, but he wanted to be off base, so Pinky's we went....big mistake! On a night when we really weren't going out to have a long meal together, but one of those nights where we just wanted to go out and sit down because we were feeling too lazy to cook, Pinky's was a horrible choice! We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, despite the place not being terrible busy...lame. By the time our waitress came to the table, we had already had enough time to go over the menus and decide what we wanted, not to mention people watch, use the restroom, get even more hungry, get kind of annoyed....you get the idea, it was a while.

I went with the shrimp scampi, kinda standard, not too hard, right? It wasn't bad, but definitely not worth the $20 price tag. Huge plate of pasta with six itty bitty shrimp...awesome...
My husband got the fish of the day with their house specialty way of cooking it, I can't remember the name, but it had macademia nut crusting and something else. It was actually really awesome, and I immediately had order envy.

The killer was that after finishing our meal, which was hastily brought out to us...they brought our entrees before we had even gotten a bite into our salads, I hate that...it took literally an hour for the waitress to bring our check, pick it up, and return it. An hour!! WTF?!?!

Never again Pinky's. The final bill was almost $70, definitely not worth it. We both agreed we could have saved $65 and gotten a Freschetta pizza. That macademia nut crusted fish was the only saving grace of this place.

I had a horrible experience I would like to share with everyone.

First of all we had a big group of about 25 with a reservation on a Saturday night. When we arrived the place was somewhat busy but not totally packed.  After arriving we waited for about 30 minutes just to be seated (as can be expected with a large group).

We were seated in 3 different large tables. After being seated it took about 30 minutes just be get our order in for our table (other tables got their orders taken earlier), I'm guessing because of a mix up with the waitress and who was going to pick up our table.

After finally ordering we started receiving our orders.  Since the other tables ordered before us they started receiving parts of their orders.  The Not so nice waitress (out of the two who served us) decided to just start yelling out what we ordered and then she would wait to hear our response.  Since multiple people ordered the same thing there were many many problems.

So I ordered a salad and when it came time for everyone on my table to receive our food my order never came.  At first I thought the kitchen was behind and getting slammed but after everyone received their food I soon realized that they had just forgotten my order. Being fed up I never bothered to follow up.  Also on our table a friend order the seared ahi which came out totally cooked.

When it was time to collect the checks everyone automatically got charged the 18% (group gratuity charge although our table only had 6 and we had our own bill).  At that time our waitress finally noticed that she didn't get my order but did give a somewhat decent apology and said that I wouldn't have to pay for the food that I didn't receive.  After tallying the bill we found that they charged us 18% gratuity on my salad which I didn't receive which amounted to about 2 or 3$ addition.  I got it corrected and left the restaurant hungry.

I will never go to this restaurant again and will never recommend to anyone that I know even if I work 2 blocks away.  Strangely enough another friend who went said during a previous visit she had gotten food poisoning.  Why she went back I would never know.  FYI this was my 3rd visit.

If you want below average food, horrible service and high prices then Pinkys is where to go.

I have given Pinky's many tries over the past several years. Recently I was informed that they had hired consultants and fired the old staff and hoped to repair their old ways. So I gave it another chance this football season, much to my dismay.

If you want great service, stand on the table, flash a stack of hundreds and inform your waitress that you will be the biggest tipper and to keep the drinks coming (someone did that last week and seemed to have great service)

I on the other hand, ordered the only thing I think is truly palatable (basic bar food) and the potato wedges came out burned to a crisp. I am african american and they looked dark even next to my skin. Sadly, they were delivered by the manager, who I promptly informed (assuming he didnt notice) that they were a  tad overcooked. After much "stink eye" from him, he took the m back (which I was bummed about since they took 35 minutes and came AFTER the entrees of the other guests at my table). The replacements however were served practically raw. Apparently the chef only knows two temperatures, burnt as hell and raw as hell. Either way, after all is said and done, I will NEVER step foot in that bar again, which leaves me with even more limited options in Kailua. But as a resident and business owner, I work hard for my money... I expect everyone else too!

I've only been once but had a much different experience than most of the previous posters....

In search of a restaurant that still had breakfast around 10:30AM, we stumbled upon this place after my 1st round at the 'exec course'.  Someone directed us in the same general location but stated we were lookin for 'Cinamon's'.  Being unfamiliar w/the area, we settled on Pinky's.

The only other people present was a large group of military lookin guys in a corner.  Thus, we had our choice of seats & quickly moved to a table by the big bay windows, facing a canal lined with houses on the other side.  Kinda nice to look @, mid morning...

I had to try the signature omlette, which was prepped w/3 eggs, swiss cheese & kalua pork.  I was surprised it was so bland given that it was their 'signature' breakfast dish but with some ketchup & hot sauce and it was all good.  The omlette was served with diced garlic mashed potatoes, pan fried in olive oil.  They were excellent...The meal was about $10 and was enough to feed me 1.5 times.

The server was attentive and pleasant.  I'd go there again for a quiet morning breakfast with good friends.

    Eek! Methinks not.

I hate to be another harsh critic, but Pinky's is horrible.

Their food is a joke. Nothing on their menu besides maybe rice is something I can actually almost trust to be fresh, not frozen AND hopefully served on a clean plate. Each time I would enter the restaurant I would always feel a layer of grime.

I would have to say their hosts are a joke. On their phones, giving attitude and never a clue as to whats going on. Their bussers are young girls and the tall brunette couldn't clean or lift a dirty dish if her life depended on it. Very unprofessional.

I've only received decent service in their Lounge area, which is rare, or at the bar where your bartender is right there in yell's reach.

The food I would recommend would be their Costco style house salad. Don't ask for chicken because it'll either come out raw or overly burned. Why? Oh, the reason I got many-a-times is that the chicken is cooked and then put back on the grill right before it needs to be plated.
Don't order any of the steaks, because as my server stated: "The steak is bought and frozen for months. Cooked on Monday and then heated back up in the oven later on."

I would have to say that I am a loyal patron of their bar because of their drink specials. Although I do have to question, How often does Pinkys clean their Beer lines?

Monday Martinis? Sunday Mini Mokumanus? Happy hour? That's the only thing that brings me back to Pinkys. However, since their original bartenders left I find that Jeff is the only one I actually will bother talking or tipping. The rest of the new employees hired can't be more dull.

As many of the reviewers before me have said... we speak the truth and this restaurant is just a place to have a drink and get the fuck out before food poisoning sets in.

Laughable "Donna C", you must be an employee or an owner since you signed up on Yelp to give Pinky's a 5 star rating as your only Yelp. Come on, fellow yelpers know fakes when we see them.

Look, If the drinks were legit. I would give them better ratings and you can look at all my reviews. I am more than fair. In fact, I tend to leave awesome reviews. I don't care how big a drink is, if it is not the appropriate pour that I have been getting almost every time I come in, then it would be different and no, its not about being cut off you incredible speller you. It was my FIRST drink. I have been going there long enough to understand what consistency in a company is, and that is not consistency. The food is never consistent nor was the drinks that night, so obviously, I would rather go when friends work, because at least I know im being treated like a local and not some tourist who doesnt know any better. Get a clue.

I actually used to like this place a lot. They used to have the best Kalua pig quesedillas...but that all changed. The food quality there just went down hill along with their service.

I went back there just one last time to give them another chance and it ruined my whole night. My waiter ignored us the entire time, served a table that came after us before us, and kept forgetting things.

I've vowed to never go back.

When I saw that there was a placed called "Pinky's Pupu Bar and Restaurant" I knew that I had to stick my head in and see what it was all about.

We ordered some pupu's, including the calamari and the poke.  The calamari was pretty good, but the poke was *phenomenal*.  It might have been the best dish I ate in the 9 days I was in Hawaii.   Top 2 anyway.

The place could probably seat 60, including a private room in the back. We were there at the beginning of happy hour.  The few folks that were there looked like locals.  Several people that looked like wait staff were walking in while we were there, which would indicate that they expected a big crowd in the evening.

We must have looked like tourists, because the woman behind the bar kind of treated us like we didn't quite understand what wasabi was.  We managed to slip into the conversation that even our dog knew what wasabi tasted like.  After that she had a little bit more respect for us, and of course for our sorry pooch who got into some wasabi when we weren't home.

Yes they have a T-shirt.  Yes I bought one.
