This is not the same place as it was before it closed down a few months ago. The energy is totally different. I don't know why it closed in the first place. The energy used to be live. It was the type of spot that grabbed you upon entering. The energy was just as good during the day and evening livelier at night. Since reopening, the only thing I see they added was hookah. I could be wrong for saying this, but it's sad that all the places to be want to have hookah there. I guess it's the new cool/baller status to have one at your table along with drinks. But, people don't smoke or want to date a smoker. I've digressed. As I was saying, I've been in here twice since reopening and haven't been impressed at all. The pizza is not the same and the drinks have become watered down. Before, you had some of the prettiest bartenders and servers in the city which attracted even more beautiful people particularly the ladies. It seemed folks were laid back and really trying to have a good time. Now, it's the opposite. The last time I was there which was this past Sunday (6/30/2013), it was pretty much dead even for a Sunday. I ordered a hookah. I told my waitress that I'm having friend meet me so if she could wait a few before bringing it out. She brought it out alright. Between serving other tables - which it wasn't many - she would stop by our table to enjoy hookah with us. I'm thinking to myself that she is not paying for this at all, she is supposed to be serving, and if you want to enjoy, throw in a drink since hookah is basically full price even for refills here. Most places charge a smaller price for refills. I may sound very upset in my review, and I'm not. It's just that why did they close down just to reopen and serve hookah. Call me what you want, but lately I've been having more fun sitting at the bar of restaurants as opposed to going to actual bars. I Goree this place gets better as those of us who stay on the Westside of the city would like a decent spot to hang out without having to always drive into the city. As I tell anyone, don't take my word for it. Go see for yourself.
Review Source:Just went this past Thursday to support my homie AJ and on a personal level, it was like a reunion! I got a chance to see a few faces I hadn't seen in awhile. DJ Tron kept us rocking with no breaks in between, as far as the specials, the event was promoted as $2 slices and $2 beer BUT when I tried to order that I was told there was NO special. Â But considering the regular prices are considerably cheap, I wasn't really tripping. Â I just need management and event promotions to line up. Â
The one big downside I noticed, the bathrooms are marked large enough as Male/Female and men kept going in the women's restroom and apparently not caring where they aimed and had the restroom smelling like straight urine. Â I spoke to the manager and he said he'd take care of it. Â My Tuesday nights have been totally opposite of this experience so I'll assume they will get it taken care of.
All in all the night was FUN!
Went to the Pizza Bar and the pizza, atmosphere the crowd was great but it's a lil small. I sat a the bar which is very cool because you can see the fishes while you eat  but the top of the bar kept falling into the tank and the bartenders had to keep fixing it. The drink I ordered was full of ice but my server/bartender named Dave was very very nice and I took a large pizza home! So would I go again.....maybe!
Review Source:I am a Fan. Â We just happened in here on a Friday Night and Wow! Â There was a party going on. The DJ was amazing and so was the pizza. Â The only thing is the service was kind of horrible. It was so bad that it was funny. Â
Bad service aside, we still had a great time. The pizza, atmosphere and music made up for it all. Â
We will be back!!
I've been a patron of this establishment for almost five years. I've seen it at the top of the mountain and at rock bottom. However, I always manage to keep coming back. I must say that I see this bar making some great strides for the better. My past few visits have been great! Service, Food, Ambience has been superb! I like the Karaoke, Live band and different Dj's that are there now! The new Management is very personable and engaged. I was there last night and I came in at 10:55 pm which is 5 minutes prior to closing...I wanted pizza and management made it happen for me. I stayed until about 12:25 am when th Dj stopped spinning...The crowd was very nice and it was quite a few people in there at 11pm and no one seemed like they wanted to go home. I stopped in to have 1 drink which turned into 3 because the atmosphere  was just that good.
Review Source:This place I guess recently reopened. Â I had never been there before, but it's close to the office so decided to stop in for lunch. Â To say the pizza is thinly sliced is hyperbole. The crust is as thin as a slice of paper and the toppings- I ordered pepperoni and muchroom slice-- it was horrible. Â There is hardly any sauce on the pizza- which i guess is good since the paper thin crust can't hold any. Â The toppings are scarce and it tastes horrible. Â I also ordered a side caesar salad that was drenched in dressing and consisted of soggy lettuce and extra hard croutons. Â Also- the service is not great- a surly barkeep that took my lunch order after I had been in there about 8 minutes and there was no crowd.
Review Source:The service really sucks @ pizza bar. I really would like to see the newly reopened pizza bar make it; it's a really convenient little spot. The drinks are better, the pizza a and wings are great but the service is awful! the wait staff will tell you any price they think the drinks may be even if they are 3-4 dollars off, they will charge you anything so be aware. The place wasn't even full but it took us forever to get our SLICES, not whole, pizza. They never seem to have enough wait help. The management needs to step it up or we won't have a neighborhood spot.
Review Source:As its name suggests, it looks like a bar inside. I can't tell if they were going for the trendy, upscale lounge look, or if they are going for the sports bar look. I guess I'll never know unless I come during dinner.
I went in for lunch, and I was the only one there. They had some projectors playing ESPN on the walls. I'm not sure if having HDTV would've been better.
I ordered two slices. Even though I was the only person there, it felt like I had to wait a long time to get my two slices. I ordered a slice of  Pepperoni and a slice of Italian Sausage. They were reheated slices of course. Which made me wonder why it took so long. Anyway, the slices looked huge and filled me up.
I liked the Italian Sausage slice because of its spiciness. The pepperoni was your standard pepperoni slice. The sauce was okay and the crust was okay. The prices were competitive. In the end, it was just another average pizza place.
Worst service ever. My friend reserved space for a large party. You would think they would be prepared. How the heck does a pizza place run out of dough? Pizza Bar does. How does the manager resolve the situation when we complained about waiting for almost two hours for two SLICES of pizza to the waitress and ask for the manager. He cowers in the corner and doesn't come by to address the issue. Instead he ran messages through the waitress and then only spoke to our party when confronted by a few hungry girls in my group. I am all for supporting small business, but this place will be closed again if they continue with this nonchalant service.
Review Source:I went by the Pizza Bar last week to grab a slice of pizza with my neighbor. Low & behold, this place was "temporarily" closed until further notice. WHAT?! This plac is ideal for a "meet-up" as I like to call them or a breezy date. Its like a bar where everyone knows your name. Be careful with your meet-ups because youll be sure to see someone you know. Ha!
Anyway, I hope this place opens up again soon.
The wings are twice baked -- definitely get the lemon pepper. Â The pizza is New York style and has a nice crispy crust (I had pepperoni). Â The greek salad is nice and big for the side-salad price. Â The atmosphere is hit-or-miss. Â I recommend going during lunch anyday or lunch/dinner on Sunday.
Review Source:Can't vouch for the pizza but the twice baked wings are awesome. They must put em in the pizza oven because they're always nice and crispy. Hard to believe they're not deep fried. Lemon pepper are great. Wish they had a price break if you order more than 50. Ordered 100 for pickup and they just charge you 50x2. Ends up being $25 more than my favorite-but-too-far-to-visit-frequently wing place up in Sandy Springs. Wings are def worth a visit tho. Ive heard that the pizza is good too.
Review Source:If we took the "Pizza" out the name of the restaurant, then we would be in business! Good drinks? Yes! Good staff? Sure. But good pizza? Definitely NO! The pizza is mediocre at best. I simply asked for a slice of turkey sausage and cheese pizza and what I got was a hogde pogde of sloppy cheese and meat thrown atop a soggy yet burnt triangular piece of bread, most likely made a day ago. Not to mention there was practically no sauce on the pizza.
What's worse is that this is the second time that I've experienced this same poor excuse for a pizza. At my last visit, the friend I dined with had to talk to the staff about the lack of sauce and the overall bad quality of the pizza. Even the guests seated next to us had to request extra sauce to put on their dry, semi burnt "pizzas."
I've been an occasional patron of "Pizza" Bar since it opened and during their early years of operation, the quality of food was good. However, over the last couple of years, it is evident that the slowing economy has affected them, causing them to slack in the ingredients in favor for better profits. Or perhaps my experience at other, better pizza parlors in the area have built up my palet's appreciation for good pizza and I can no longer tolerate what is offered here at what they call "Pizza Bar."
If you are looking for good pizza, PLEASE, I implore you - do NOT go to the "Pizza" Bar. If you are looking for drinks and other fare, then hey - knock yourself out.
I'm sorry for this harsh review. But I'm hoping the management would stumble across this and at the very least conduct a survey with a few patrons to ensure the quality of their food, specifically their "pizza."
Best "NY Style" pizza in Atlanta. Â I've eaten at every spot Atlanta has to offer (note: generally avoid any place that has "New York" in the title), but this is the real deal. Â
Not really a spot I'd hang out, but pretty trendy, aquarium bar and big screen tv's plaster the walls. Â Waitresses are always really nice when I drop in to grab my pizza to go.
When my friend told me she discovered a cool bar in Mableton and we should check it out, my eyes almost got stuck from rolling them! I'm glad humble pie wasn't on the menu, or I would have to order it :-)
Pizza Bar is chic and urban, as one other Yelper described it. It's a great spot to hit if you're a couple (good pizza and drinks and big screens and a projector playing whatever sports you can get). It's also a best-kept secret for the single ladies, as there was a slew of attractive guys who looked like they had jobs coming in. We went on a Thursday, which was slower, but the special was flavored Mojitos in a big ol football shaped glass for $5. Pretty good!
My pizza was pretty good as well. A huge slice with thin crust. $2.25 and toppings are $.75 each--I left pretty full and sloshed for under $10.
My friend says Fridays are bumping, and not that I've been I'll take her word for it and check it out!
Pizza Bar is a great place for slices, mixed drinks and catch your favorite team on Sunday. Â Location on the Far west end of ATL, this place is good atmosphere with live dj and intimate setting. Â Oh, I forgot!, Great place to watch the big fights. Â The environment gets crazy for a prize fight. Â Unfortunately seating is limited, standing room only!
Overall Grade: A-
Closest pizza spot to my office, so I've spent many a lunch break here munching on pizza. While it's certainly not THE best pizza I've ever had, it's decent, filling, and a good price. You can order pizza by the slice, and the whole pie isn't a bad price either. There are a variety of toppings to choose from, and everything has always tasted fresh.
What really sets this place apart is the bubbly bar get up (think fish tank but without the fish) and the swing on the ceiling. Not sure I want to know what the swing over my head is for... Apparently it's a hit at night, as the AJC calls it the bar you'd like to dance on. I'm pretty sure there's a swing involved as well!
Pretty good food and drink selection and great for lunch, but don't think about going at night unless you're packing heat. The parking lot speaks for itself and while I don't suggest everyone inside is a drug dealer, I'm betting a few are. Too many nice cars loaded up with chrome for that part of town. I'll take my chances elsewhere.
Review Source:I have to say, I was impressed. Â My friend and I were looking for a laid back spot to grab a few drinks without the kids. Â I remembered hearing about this place as being "club-like" after hours, but thought it may be nice for drinks around 7 on a Friday. Â When we got there there was a decent size crowd, but not packed. Â It was an eclectic crowd including 2 families with kids. Â We ordered the white pizza to snack on with side salads. Both were excellent.... I mean it was really good pizza! Â We asked the waiter if she recommended the mojito or margarita to drink. She said they were both different. No $h!t. Â She wasn't much help so we decided on the margaritas. Â I was mad at first that the thing was $12 and came in a small 8 oz. glass, but O...M...G. Â That thing was STRONG....but you couldn't even taste the alcohol! Â We ordered a second and needless to say, had to end up staying a lot later than planned! Â I hadn't even noticed that a DJ was setting up shop right behind our table and by then it was a full house! Â Next time we get a night out, I will be going back!
Review Source:I had the chance to visit this gem today after being invited to a get-together for a good friend. Â I am not a typical sports bar fan, nor am I crazy about pizza. Â
However, this is was a really chic, urban spot in a newly refreshed part of Atlanta. Â The service was excellent, the food was unique, fresh and delicious. Â
For those that are really interested in the bar part of sports bar, there is a dazzling full bar. Â The actual bar counter looks like it might be a giant fish tank - I wasn't able to figure out if there were fish in it or not, but it sure was cool to look at.
If you are in the area and are looking for a really hip place to get together with friends, I would give this place a try!
AJC announced Pizza Bar was voted the "Atlanta area bar would you most like to dance on."
