So, the reason I'm holding a star back is the TVs. Yeah, that's personal--I just don't feel they belong in eating/drinking/socializing places.

Otherwise, I've visited Ormsby's three times, and other than the fact that I had no idea where the ladies' room was on my first visit, this place is a winner during busy and quiet times. I think I've had the same server (Chad) twice. I would not trade servers if you paid me, although I'm sure everyone else is just as good.

Very kindly,on my last visit, our bartender pointed out the ring & hook game. Someday soon, I'm going to win, although I know the game is not designed that way. Meanwhile, I'll spend money for a damn good Sazerac every time I try.

I loved this place!! It's so hidden away that it almost feels like a speakeasy. Coming from the parking deck you walk down the concrete stairs and keep walking until you get to a door where there's a bouncer who checks your ID. That night we had a pretty funny one, who asked us all random questions though for me he just tried to pronounce my last name. Once you get inside, the first level has a bar and table, more of the restaurant sections. But after you go downstairs, that's when the fun starts. I didn't try any of the food since we went there more for the bar scene than anything else. It was so much fun! Bocce ball, billiards, darts, jenga, clue, and much much more! The only thing is, you have to wait around a little until a game or board opens up. That wasn't too bad for us, since we met a few people that way. The best part was the jenga pieces questions on it. You could make a game of that by itself, which we did. We passed around the piece with the question and answered it, rules being you can't use the same answer as someone else. If you go there, find the purple jenga!
Or any of the jenga really, and this coming from someone who sucks at the game :)

PS. best to go with a group, at least three people minimum.
If you're going just for the bar scene/game, casual is best i.e. jeans, a nice top, etc

The food here is great, and the drinks are even better! The games can be hard to get to, especially when its bocci season or if there are large groups that'll be a while. However, their drink menu is plenty deep to satisfy you while you wait.
