Sorry to see Victory Sandwich Bar in Inman Park go. I know they are moving towards/too Atlanta's upcoming Belt Line but this location was fantastic. The 'going away' party was pretty Epic as well.
Guys and Gals thanks for the couple of years of great easy food, fun atmosphere, awesome location (after years of miserable restaurants in there) and good times. To Ian and the gang good luck and see you soon.
I was very disappointed with my experience at Victory Sandwich bar. The service was lacking and the food was okay. We waited at our table for a good 15-20 minutes after getting scolded for trying to order at the bar. We were told a waitress would be right with us. Â The jack and coke slushies were good but nothing I couldn't create at home. The icing on the cake was finding out on Monday that my credit card was charged 2x for the wrong amount. After 2 returned emails(the address doesn't exist??) and 2 phone calls to the manager unreturned I have turned the issue over to my bank.
Review Source:"Banh mi? From a hipster sandwich shop?"
"Why not?"
"It's $4."
"So?"
"Isn't there a law against charging more than $2.50 for banh mi?"
"So?"
"It's half the size of any other banh mi."
"So?"
"You're Asian."
"So?"
This is how I came to be convinced to buy the Banh You from Victory. Don't be stupid. It's not banh mi, it's not worth $4, and it's not that great.
The Hambo, on the other hand, is good stuff. And I got 14 potato chips this time.
