Vortex Bar & Grill

What can I say about the Vortex except that it's my go-to spot for awesome burgers and has been for years!  The Blue Shroom is my #1 fave burger.  The Kari Kari is my favorite app at the moment, but oh how I yearn for the Artichoke Dip they stopped serving a couple of years ago.  It was SO good!  The L5P spot if my fave if you're up for a colorful, diverse crowd and waitstaff.  The menu is funny and may be slightly offensive to the "conservative" crowd, but then again, if you're easily offended, this is definitely NOT the spot for you!

Details are not needed. The burgers are some of the best you'll ever eat. the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. The servers have attitudes and they're quite adorable. This isn't a place for your kids so quit complaining that you can't bring them here. Lots of people appreciate that. I sure did. Sure, you can smoke in here but it's separated from the nonsmokers. I don't smoke and i have asthma: the smoke didn't bother me. Read their website before you go. They warn you in advance. it's blunt and honest. But it works. :) If you have any type of stick up your a**, don't go here. OMG the naked picture of the girl on the wall might offend you. Wah!! *eyeroll* it's part of the atmosphere. It's fun and the food is damn good. Go!

Luckily L5P is full of people that think their tight jeans, tattoos, and bacon consumption make them interesting. Vortex will thrive forever. If you enjoy rude hostesses, cramped seating, and meat sweats, this is the place for you. Cocktails are decent, but our server brought our check ASAP and we never saw her again, so I didn't get to try many of them. It's Atlanta--there are plenty of better places to eat, even for your out-of-town friends you want to impress.
