I've been coming here for years and finally am going to write a review.

I always used to come when the bartender Rita was working, she was generous with drinks and would even play Beer Pong with me on college night!  Sadly she's not there anymore but yesterday my motivation was Football.

When we arrived at about 1:30 PM, the parking lot was near empty.  Inside the place is quiet except the circle of rowdy football fans all seated at the bar surrounding the only TV that has sound.  A bartender I've never seen (I don't remember her name) took care of me and had to sit me at the far end of the bar next to the kitchen so I could watch my Detroit Lions.  The TV was small but the drinks were not.  I ordered a Long Island and it was authentic but the Sweet & Sour mix had gone bad so it tasted weird and watery.  She comped the drink and served me STRONG rum & cokes which put a smile on my face, my girlfriend wasn't as happy and wanted more coke and less Jack in her glass.

I've never had food there, but we decided to share an app so we asked for a menu, and saw that the food is CHEAP!  It's your typical 'bar food' just VERY inexpensive.  I think the the priciest item on the menu was $8.  Since we weren't that hungry just chose to share a basket of fries that only set us back $3 and were delicious and cooked to perfection.  Cola and unlimited refills for free which I thought was great since I don't like to drink hard liquor with food.  We left after the game was over, generally satisfied.  The food was great and the drinks were awesome if you like em strong.  They have a couple of pool tables and a dartboard if that's your thing.

Not the best place to watch the game since TVs are limited and only 1 of them has sound, but you're in luck if your team is on that one because it's broadcast in the house speaker system.  For entertainment, go on the weekend for live bands or college night if you want in on the Beer Pong tournaments.

Play by Play is nice. They have plenty of pool tables. The times that I've been there, it was never too packed. The bar is pretty big. Parking is always easy. The bartenders are always friendly. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is that they allow smoking inside. I'm a smoker myself. It just gets very stuffy and uncomfortable in there. I wish they had outdoor seating of some kind.

I went to this place last night.  Granted, I had already had a few before I came here so my photographic memory is a little tainted.

I did have a fun-bar-feel.  I remember it felt like a good bar to get your a$$ kicked in but I'm a Marine so I wasn't too worried :)  There were some pool tables, a beer pong table, and some dirty bathrooms.  But, it was fun.  The absolute best part of the night was playing Jimmy Buffett on the jukebox.  Any jukebox that has "A Pirate Looks at 40" is a-ok by me.  I think this bar is all about the company you're with.  I don't think I'd take family or a first-date here but if you're with your pals and want to get obliterated, this is probably your bar.

The one major drawback besides the angry looking guy eating tater tots at the bar...somebody played about an hours worth of Britney Spears.  It was terrible.  And EVERYBODY was singing and dancing with it.  This is a bar where whiskey and SRV would be do-able, not Britney.

    But, it's a fun off-the-beaten-path bar.  I'd go back (after a few).
