Tee-Jay Thai and Sushi Restaurant

I LOVE this place: great service, great menu, good portions, good value, fantastic flavors and playful presentation. I usually have: green or red curry, basil chicken, some sushi roll, seaweed or papaya salad, edamame. Their specials are worth trying, they definitely keep it interesting. We can't stop coming back to this place, it's absolutely consistent, well managed and it always delivers. Plus, they own the froyo place next door, which is also the best!

Thai and sushi combination restaurants are REALLY popular in Florida. This was the closest sushi place opened on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm, so we decided to try this place on our last day in Florida.

The interior design was really cool. I found the colors to be a bit dark, kind of like a bar though. There were some TVs up showing various sports, which was cool. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. She also told us about why Thai and sushi restaurants are combined in Florida, interesting cultural story!

Anyway, food-wise: not as great as the other place I tried in Pompano Beach. I think I have been spoiled living in California. ): The sashimi was plentiful and large in size for the price I paid for the chirashi deluxe! I was actually pleasantly surprised by all that food. However, the sashimi on ice lost its taste from being so cold. Would have preferred the fish not be served on ice. For the most part, the fish was okay, not the best I had.

Good price for the quantity though. And great staff.
