Not the best but certainly not the worst Mexican restaurant around. Â Food was average tasting and the prices were comparable to other similar establishments. Â Service, however, was a bit lacking. Â We were seated very quickly upon entering, which is always a good sign, but after that was a bit of a disaster. Â I was so thirsty for a refreshing water refill at one point that I would have flagged down anyone who passed by our table. Alas, I lost interest in the refill and just asked for the check when the waiter finally did come by. I had the veggie fajitas which come out in a sizzling skillet full of vegetables as well as a plate of retried beans and a pile of lettuce and tomato and some rice. Veggies themselves were a bit bland and I had to wait an additional few minutes for my three miniature tortillas to be brought out. My boyfriend had he steak tacos and a margarita. Tacos were good, margarita was really sugary. Â I liked the ambiance of the restaurant and the decorative water fountain in the middle. Â They also have outdoor seating. Overall, a bit of a disappointment.
Review Source:Killer service.  Indpls restaurants should send their new servers here to be trained.  We had the vegetarian plate A and Chimichanga meals.  The vegetarian plate - really  2 full platters - were almost more than I could eat.  Wife described the Chimi as one of the best.  So quick excellent service, excellent food, large portions, nicer atmosphere than typical Mex joint = earns top score.
