The Porch

A welcome relief from the craze and heat of Duval. Eclectic beer and wine selection. Well worth a stop in.

This is one of the cutest bars I've ever been to. It's in an old Victorian house with a beautiful porch surrounded by trees. So why the three stars? I found it to be quite expensive. $18 for two beers is a bit much! :(

The Porch is a welcome respite from the heat and humidity of summer in Key West. It's a small bar with a great selection of craft beer and wine. The bartender we had was very knowledgeable and friendly. There isn't much seating inside though. Aside from the bar, there's a booth that seats about 5 and a small table for 2-3 people. If you go around 6-7, it usually isn't too crowded and you can find a seat easily. We played a board game (that we brought ourselves) for a couple hours in the evening and no one gave us any trouble. Tables were clean and not sticky. The drinks were really tasty and I liked the summer beer that was recommended on draft. I forget the name, but it's a light beer with a gingery flavor - yum! It did get more crowded around 9 pm and harder to find seating, but there are plenty of chairs outside as well. This place is a great non-touristy find!
