The Porch is a welcome respite from the heat and humidity of summer in Key West. It's a small bar with a great selection of craft beer and wine. The bartender we had was very knowledgeable and friendly. There isn't much seating inside though. Aside from the bar, there's a booth that seats about 5 and a small table for 2-3 people. If you go around 6-7, it usually isn't too crowded and you can find a seat easily. We played a board game (that we brought ourselves) for a couple hours in the evening and no one gave us any trouble. Tables were clean and not sticky. The drinks were really tasty and I liked the summer beer that was recommended on draft. I forget the name, but it's a light beer with a gingery flavor - yum! It did get more crowded around 9 pm and harder to find seating, but there are plenty of chairs outside as well. This place is a great non-touristy find!
Review Source:Cozy, casual bar in an old Victorian house on the corner of Duval and Caroline St. Enjoy your bevvy inside with the very knowledgeable bartenders and the wide array of eclectic wall art or outside on their.....PORCH, go figure. A true gem! Lots of craft beers and fine wines!!!! Big Rod Coconut Blonde on tap is my new summer fave!
Review Source:I love this place. It's in an old house with great paintings and other art on the walls. Mystery science theater 3000 on the tv and a ms. Pacman galaga table style arcade game and a great selection of beers. Not to mention the porch which is super chill and has a swing. It's a total Hipster bar but there were no hipsters when we went.
Review Source:4 1/2 stars. I love this place! Â It's better during the day or on a night when it's not too crowded. Â It's so small that any sort of crowd makes me feel claustrophobic. Â I've tried some of my favorite beers here. Â Youngs Banana Bread, Abita Strawberry and Sea Dog blueberry. Â One of the bartenders is really friendly every time we go and is knowledgable about the beer. Â I have to get her name next time. Â Anyway, this is a cool spot.
Review Source:The Porch is such a nice respite from the craziness of Duval. Â I appreciated the attentiveness of the bartenders in helping me find a beer, and a glass of wine, that was just right. Â If you aren't in your 20's trying to do the Sloppy Joe's/Lazy Gecko/Hog's Breath thing and want to experience KW like a local, check out the Porch.
Review Source:Definitely a pretty interesting bar, i probably would not have spotted this unless my older sister and her husband took me here. It's right off the strip on Duval St and it's so unassuming walking up to it, it actually looks like a residence. Friendly staff, every1 was pretty cool and easy going, the female bartender that helped me make my selection was super chill and let me take the time to look at their extensive menu then answered all my questions. I got this awesome Chocolate Milk Stout which i think i ended up having 3 or 4 overall it was that good. Can sit indoors or outdoors and the place is just so laid back and chill you can go with a group of friends and not run into any pretentiousness at all, kick back and have a few drinks it's a great time.
Review Source:My favorite bar in Key West. Great selection of craft/microbrews and wine, but I always drink the same things: Lindeman's of any flavor, Zombie Killer or Angry Orchard. (The only problem is that they serve the Zombie Killer in such small glasses now. It used to come in a pint glass! But it's not a dealbreaker.) In Fall, I enjoyed the Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale, and the Crispin Honey Crisp cider. So, even if you don't like beer much or wine, there's something for you. The staff are always helpful when my husband needs a recommendation for something new to try (Livi and Landon are the best!) If you can grab a spot on the porch, it's a great place for people watching. And don't forget to bring quarters to play Galaga or Pac-Man.
Review Source:last time i was at this bar i couldnt really hang out for long as i was with someone who was under 21 at the time (oh shut up, dont judge me) nevertheless i loved it then and my previous review is proof of this. but i finally had a long evening of fun at the porch and it was a 5 stars night all the way!
we arrived there at 10ish immediately after dinner, it was a bit busy but luckily we found a little table inside by the corner. miss f stayed the course and got riesling. i went for ipas. i cant recall which one right now because it was a long evening.
the male bartender was super down to earth guy. the female wasnt as nice but whatever, i dont have to like everybody even at a favorite bar. one, two, three, four rounds later, the crowd left the bar and we are the last ones consuming. i asked if we were ok for another round, bartender guy says 'absolutely.' then a new batch of people come in. these two guys and a girl, who sits next to me and gets everyone at the bar sake shots. how awesome is that? it doesnt stop there. she then got us a second round of sake shots but this time miss f didnt take it so i sacrificed and drank it myself.
fun times, shared laughs and interesting conversations with random locals happened that evening at the porch. i even got a couple of fuzzy, out of focus pictures as testament so now i know exactly where to go when im in key west.
the porch gets extra cool points cause they were showing a freaky, raunchy korean movie about pimps and hookers which tends to be quite stimulating when viewing under the influence of alcohol and other miscellaneous narcotics.
The porch is actually pretty cool. It is on the edge of cruse ship area of key west (that part of town aimed at the cruise ship crowd) which I try to avoid when I'm in town. Â So it is kind of nice to have a cool place on the edge of the wacky/tacky part of duval. Â It takes up just one of the front rooms in the Porter house on Caroline and the outside wrap around porch. Â A good selection of craft beers on tap and in the bottle. Â Prices are reasonable as well, especially happy hour. Â Beers are $4-$6. Â Wine is decent as well, but pricer but typical for what you pay by the glass in a restaurant or in the area ($8 to $10 a glass). Â
Probably the best part is the atmosphere. Â Just being able to sit out on the porch with a great beer or good wine and chat while you watch what is going on over on Duval or across the street is great. Â Tons of interesting people watching at the discount liquor store across the street. Â You get the music from the bull and whistle wafting across the street as well, but not so loud you can't talk to who you are with. Â Also, seems like people who don't know each other end up chatting together here which is great. Â
Be sure to try the milk stout on tap, had it in bottles but on tap it is very fine. Â Surreal bathroom is cool as well.
I don't like it.
Yes. I understand I'm now on every five-star reviewer's most wanted list, and possibly is now banned from ever set foot into Key West again. Even so, I still have to voice my opinion. I just don't like it. Maybe I'm just too used to places like this back home.
I do appreciate they are introducing craft beers and Microbreweries tasty creation to the nice folks in Key West.
It's quaint of them to turn a historic building into a walk-in and hangout bar. By drinking time however, this two-rooms establishment is PACKED! The line was still 4 people deep for 30 minutes I've been standing here. It's like zombie apocalypse, but these zombies don't want no brains, just beers.
AH! Now I get why it's called "The Porch" because there is no way you will ever find a place for yourself inside; the only way to go is outside to, wait for it... THE PORCH!
Also, I'm not too fond of the crowd here. The fedora wearing, ironic glass (ironic because of non-prescription) wearing, skinny jean and Bermuda shorts wearing, fixed gear bike riding, crowd. The "I'm in a rare craft beer house but I need to order Bud Light or glass of white wine," crowd. The conversation alone I overheard made me feel like I was on the set of filming "Portlandia," crowd. (Have I painted clear enough picture yet?)
So, maybe it's not the place I don't like. It's the people that come here I cannot stand.
Because I was quite satisfied when I got my Southern Tier Creme Brulee the first night. Second night, just to confirm my feeling about this place, I arrived a little early (around 9 o'clock) and actually got a chance to chat with the bartending girl, who introduced me to a Dunkel/Dark Ale from Reutberger brewery that I have not heard of outside of this place; I also spotted some usual suspects like Framboise or Chimay or some Trappists. But in the course of finishing my beer, that familiar scene was back in full swing.
EDIT: A very recent interaction suggests this place may not be as unlikeable as I previously stated :)
The Porch never disappoints. Â Its large menu of both bottle and draft craft offerings, its decor of fun art work, and the DJ spinning hip hop classics from Tribe and Nas will make any late 20 (gah almost 30) something beer geek happy.... Or at least it works for me. The little somewhat hidden gem on Duval is the perfect place to end the night.... The indoor couches and outside seating make it perfect for smokers and non smokers... Whenever we are in Key West we make a point to stop by and pay The Porch a visit.
Review Source:What a sweet bar! Â The Porch is a solid bar right on Duval. I'm not a big drinker and hardly enjoy 50 red faced drunk people around me and The Porch was perfect.
While I don't drink often, I love a good craft beer. My first was a Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Definitely a dessert beer to be had any time. The bartender was way chill. Not worried about selling the most expensive beer but about just "chilling". Â
The bar has a solid mix of locals and yes...I was a tourist. EVERY single person was laid back. That's what Key West is about -- laid back! Â So if you're tired of wading through barf at the other bars give The Porch a try!
We stopped by here many times on our journeys through and around Duval. Â The staff is friendly and they know their beers. Â The selection is very good and if you like craft beers you will find something that you like. Â The wine selection is also very good. Â The ambience inside is great, they transport you on the inside to a world off Duval which is kind of cool. Â Outside however, is great fun. Â You can sit back on the porch of this beautiful home sip your beer, and watch the show out on Duval as people walk by. Â
I don't know who owns the surrounding property on the side yard for sure, but it would be great if they'd convert it from a bike parking area in to either a landscaped area or a courtyard of some kind. Â It looks a little bit rough around the edges on that side of the yard. Â It would be amazing if the entire place looked like the side facing Duval Street.
Our encounter there was with one of the owners, and he was a really friendly and polite guy. Â Other servers and bartenders we had there were equally friendly and theres a reason why they seem to be doing so well. Â Wish there were a few more spots like this in Key West.
As incredible as people say. Who wouldn't enjoy drinking a craft beer on the porch of a gigantic totes-Southern (like, the rich folks in a Tennessee Williams play) mansion, sitting in a genteel version of an Adirondack chair and shooting the breeze with your new best friend on a slow, starry night in Key West? Sounds pretty awesome, right? It is.
In addition to the fantastic ambiance, the beer is available at shockingly-affordable prices. Stella for $4? Chimay Trappist Ale for $6? Incroyable. The selection isn't yooge but it's big enough and extremely well-curated. You won't find prices like these on the main land. You also won't find beer enthusiasts like the folks who work here on the main land. You won't catch a whiff of beer snobbery. These folks are all about celebrating the suds and helping to educate all who enter into these hallowed halls. They know their stuff. They're excited by it. And, they want you to know and get excited by it as well. This can't happen if you're made to feel insignificant or dumb for not knowing the difference between a barley wine and a stout... so, they don't.
If you are, even in the least, interested in beer or history or architecture or landscaping or relaxation, veer off Duval to Caroline and make your way to The Porch. This was one of my favorite moments in Key West. I think it'll become one of yours, too. Cheers.
Everything you want in a high end beer bar (and they have wine).
Nice wooden bar with comfortable stools.
Chalkboard loaded with wonderful choices. (Chimay Blonde on draught for me).
Engaging personalities behind the bar. Hats off to Landon last night. Good fella.
A booklet of menu's for delivery.
Always a good crowd................and you have a porch area (of course!) to sit on.
Pac man game at the ready.
If I were to become a bar fly, this is where I would land.
They have an AMAZING beer selection and outstanding bar service. This place is a BAR and a beer bar at that. I don't recall seeing any bites but there are PLENTY of options around you.
The Porch is located in an old building with, you guessed it, a very large Porch that you can lounge on while you sip or guzzle, (your preferance) an ice cold brew. Inside you will find a fairly small bar area (that legend has is VERY haunted). The bar itself is quite welcoming and it is easy to get lost in time here.
In the evening they may have on a movie, as in a B rated horror (you know the cheesy kind that make no sense). Pretty soon everyone in the bar is doing their own version of Mystery Science Theature; which absolutely adds to the charm of this place. Please note, that if you are not into craft beer and you are simply looking for a bucket of Coronas, this may not be the place for you.
Be sure to check out the bathroom as well. It felt like a bathroom I would have frequented in college...in a good way. Meaning quirky but clean.
A good beer bar in Key West. Â Wait. Â Time Out....
A "GOOD BEER" Bar in Key West. Â That means they have stuff you probably haven't had before. Â That means if you're from South Florida, you won't know what to do with yourself.
As a Pacific Northwesterner, where beer flows from the sky in Seattle Rain Showers, I know a thing or two about different styles of beer and breweries. Â This place has a decent selection by my standards, which may mean an AWESOME selection by yours. Â Lot's of things you may not be able to get in other places. Â
The list ranges from Stouts to Ales to Porters to Hefes to IPAs including:
Rouge Dead Guy Ale
Dogfish Head 60/90/120 selections
Julius Echter
Sammy Smith Strawberry Cider
Oskar Blues selections in Cans
and Southern Tier 2x IPA
Oh and there was wine. Â Overall, 12 beers on tap, with maybe 50+ bottled options at one time. Â Very cool location in an old house. Â Good Job yall!
It's the heart of craft beerdom in Key West. Housing a surprisingly decent selection, this heritage home-turned-bar is another testament to the idea that Key West residents (and visitors) are becoming more discriminating as to what they drink. Not everyone in this town wants Captain Morgan and fruit juice.
This bar is almost precisely what one would expect an upscale beer and wine bar in Key West to be. It's a small bar with plenty of wood, and an adjacent seating area framed by a rather large wall of wine. Some of my Yelp Miami friends have likened this place to The Room, but I think it's closer to a well-lit version of Abraxas Lounge. I wish the actual outside porch was bigger; it'd be great to sit out there. To be fair, it is a pretty large porch, but on the night I went, it was crowded with smokers, so I didn't even really want to stand out there. Let's see how all those smokers like it in August; then, perhaps, might I be able to stake a claim to the prime porch real estate.
The music also tends toward the indie side, so you won't hear any cheesy Calypso, Jimmy Buffett, drunk shouty dude with guitar inside Irish Kevins, or whatever other sonic pollution people seem to think you should be forced to hear in Key West.
Wow, I love it when I can combine my drink snobbery and music snobbery into one giant ball of condescension!
Visiting craft beer fans from beyond Cigar City's distribution range will no doubt salivate over this bar's good selection of CCB brews. When I was there, they even had a bottle left of the Dos Costas Oueste, a collaboration with southern California's The Bruery. If I'd not already had it, that's what I would have ordered. Instead, I went with Left Hand's Milk Stout, on nitro-tap - a stout fan can't go wrong with that one.
I was never sure that a place like this would go over well on Duval, but it seems to have its own following. And from what I could tell, most people who randomly walked in to check it out seemed open to grabbing a good beer or wine in the far more relaxed setting.
Craft beer where otherwise you have to drink swill! There is not a lot going on in Florida for craft beers or good beer bars. This is a notable exception, and stands out in Key West (also props go to Cigar City Brewing in Tampa for their beers).
A nice end to an afternoon of touring while in port from our cruise. We also enjoyed the Hemingway House on our own (they have their own very nice tour guides; don't pay the overpriced cruise excursion rate!).
It had been almost a year since my last visit to the Porch, and I found it every bit the wonderful haven I had remembered. Â Tucked into the first floor of a large Victorian mansion on Duval and Caroline, the bar is quirky and intimate. Â While there is seating outside on the actual porch, it may be kind of hard to come by (I guess word has really gotten out). Â
Â
Unless you come earlier you might want to resign yourself to sidling up to some of their indoor options (not that this is really a hardship). With funky Christmas lights in the bar and even the bathroom, it doesn't feel the least bit pretentious, and thankfully it still manages to be leaps and bounds ahead of the other smoky, dive options nearby. Clean, funky, and just plain fun! The main bar is smooth lacquered wood, and boasts an impressive list of beers. Split amongst several chalkboards, you can choose one of their on tap options, venture into bottle territory, or surrender yourself to one of their larger bottles. Left Hand Milk Stout on nitro tap, MacTarnahan's Spine Tingler, Dogfish Head Namaste...my last visit made me a very happy camper. Whether you're an IPA fan, a cider sipper, or looking for one of their special seasonal selections, they try to cover a fair range. Â
Don't fret though if beer isn't really you're thing, they've also go a wall of wines in the other room that is inanely tempting! Red, white, sweet, dry, figure out what you're in the mood for and they're sure to have something! In addition to the great libations, they've got a killer selection of music, an old-school pac man machine, and a flat screen television to provide entertainment. Basically, all the ingredients for a chill and enjoyable evening out!
Leave the rambunctious, obnoxious, and crowded bars with limited selection and come bask in the majesty of a far superior hangout where you can kick back and relax for a few hours. The Porch is most definitely a regular in my rotation while in Key West and a worthy drinking hole. I'm sure I'll be back again on my next trip, and I recommend it to anyone wishing to avoid the frat-boy scene that permeates most of nearby spots. Cheers!
While walking down Duval, I stopped to admire this house's beauty and the large front porch that I want when I grow up. Looking a bit longer, I saw the magical words "microbrew & wine bar", so we went in.
It was clearly a local kind of place, which made me incredibly happy, as I wasn't feeling the Spring Break/Tourist scene. You can sit at the bar, on some of the tables inside (where you can also place Ms. Pac Man or Mousetrap), or...on the porch!
I was a bit disappointed to find that they did not have any local or on-site made brew, but was stoked that they had Left Hand Milk Stout on nitro. I took my beer outside and watched the crowds on Duval as a removed on-looker, tucked away from the hustle and bustle.
Love the chill vibes of this place, the funky decor, and the good beer & wine selection! This would be my local haunt if I lived in Key West!
After reading all the good reviews about this place, I knew my beer drinking buds would want to come here. The setting is very nice with mature landscaping and wrap-around namesake porch. The porch is not very deep and it is awkward for more than two people to sit down and talk. It wasn't very noisy though which was also a nice change from Duval.
However, being from the Philadelphia area (a big craft beer town), I was surprised that this type of beer bar was a big deal, but I guess you have to consider that Key West hasn't caught up with the current beer drinking trends. I think you'd make a mint if you opened a gastropub in this town, BTW. Which brings me to surprise #2, no food. None. Not even munchies. So if you just want a beer or a glass of wine, by all means, swing by this relaxing setting.
In a town saturated with hard liquor and cheap beer, locals like myself thank Chris S. for opening The Porch. Â Its a place with a hip artsy look, a bar inside a historic mansion, great beer, and an awesome PORCH! Â
I like to drop by after work, have a couple of pints, talk to other service industry employees and head home. Â Its also a great place to escape Duval for a while when you are out painting the town a million colors. Â The drafts are always changing as well as a nice GOOD QUALITY selection of craft beers and wines. Â The only draw back is having one bathroom but you get into some conversations while waiting or can try your hand at Galaga or Mrs Pacman.
Cheers!
A great hidden gem just off Duval Street inside a gorgeous house you can't miss. Â Unless you know its there, it can be hard to find. Â However it is worth the look. Â Their beer selection is rotating, so every visit can be a new beer tasting adventure. Â They have an indoor area with admittedly limited seating, but a nice dark wood decor.
The outside area of this bar is what makes it special. Â It is a raised porch in a historic huge house amidst gorgeous gardens. Â You can relax on the porch and see the craziness of Duval Street go by. Everyone at this bar seems to be friendly and not a typical drunk tourist. Â They also have about 8-10 wines sold by the glass and plenty of wines by the bottle.
Although the barmaid took her time to serve us, she honoured the happy hour special when it was just ending. You could tell that this was a popular place for tourists and locals alike.
We took our drink to the bench outside. What a magical place for our first night after searching for the "perfect" spot. It did not disappoint in any way, either. Equally fitting was the fact that while I was in a cast and my partner in a sling, we were sitting at the home of one of the most influential physicians in Floridian, if not, N. American history! And no, the accidents did not occur while drinking or...otherwise. :)
Enjoyed watching the group of people have their photos taken on the steps. We had ours taken by some friendly locals, too.
Especially enjoyed watching the artist with his pet rooster. What a hoot!
Would have definitely returned had the weather not become cold. The number one casual bar (just outside of it, at least) to imbibe in a beverage in the Keys!
This is as good as it gets On the main drag but as removed as it can be, set aback with a great view of the madness that passes by A bar that seems intelligent and welcoming A watering hole that Craftbeericus Snobicus would be proud of in the otherwise primitive land of MGD's and Buds
Tons of interesting beers I got to try the Life &Limb Ale which is a Dogfish Head/ Sierra Nevada collaboration and it's nothing short of amazing Where can I find bottles of this? Happy Hour knocked off $2
They let you order food from surrounding restaurants and eat it there but you might have to share with the barmaid so make sure to order extra
The Porch has the most exciting selection of craft beer and wines on the island. My boyfriend and I are huge craft beer fans and walking into The Porch for us is like walking into a candy store, but filled with booze. The Porch always has something fun going on, it could be a wine tasting, a local DJ spinning on a Saturday or a themed night like the Zombie Jesus Vs. Robo Bunny Easter Party...yea.
The Porch is located in, probably the best spot it could be located in, the beautiful Porter House Mansion, which is right in the heart of downtown Key West. Walking up the path towards the mansion, the first thing you notice is, well, a huge porch! I'm guessing this could have inspired the name...
Once inside The Porch you might feel a bit overwhelmed if it's your first time. You might start looking around at all the interesting and awesome art filling the walls, you might look over and see the Ms. Pac-Man / Galaga Classic Cocktail Table Arcade Game with 19-Inch Monitor and be like, F*** YEA! You might see the huge chalkboards with countless names of beers you've never heard of and be like HOLY F***!
After you've s*** yourself try and calm down, walk up to the bar and be prepared to meet your bartender. At The Porch you will always find a friendly and welcoming face behind the bar. The people who run the The Porch, in my opinion, picked the best bartenders for the job. All of them are local, as are the owners, they all have an amazing sense of humor and know how to make you feel comfortable. Ask them about beer, Key West, life or whatever else is on your mind.
If you're thinking about going to The Porch, don't think about it, just go. And when you do go, make sure you're ready to drink, have a great conversion and an overall awesome time. I love The Porch and I guaranfkingtee you will to...
cheers!
After visiting the ubiquitous bars in Key West- loud music, rowdy bar patrons, and the ever obnoxious drunk frat boys, which at times is quite entertaining- it was nice to find The Porch, a respite from all the rambunctiousness Key West is known for.
The moment we walked in and I saw how unassuming the place was I was instantly smitten, but when I saw the extensive list of craft beers they had, and all in one place, I had to take a moment to compose myself. From Left Hand and Rogue to Franziskanner and Dogfish, there is something for everyone, even non-beer drinkers!!! If you want wine, they have an amazing assortment of bottles you can buy or buy by the glass. The beer is also priced fairly reasonable. I had a Doppelbock German beer for only $7. It is what you'll pay in Key West at any other bar for the less than tasty big-name brand beers. During happy hour, from 4:30-7:00, they have buy one get one half off which is a great deal for craft beers.
The place is on the rather small side, which makes it quite homey and intimate, much like someone's living room. Plus there is a much younger, hipper crowd here than what you'll find at other bars- no drunks here- which gives the place it's vibe. Â There is also a pac man machine which got use while we were there by several customers, including some of our own party.
We loved this place so much, we came back twice within that one day we were in Key West! Enough said!!!
The Porch kind of had a hipster type of vibe to it, or at least a local feel. Anyway, the beer selection is the best that I've seen in Key West. I was a bit taken aback when I was asking for recommendations, and the bartender had never heard of Weihenstephaner (only the oldest brewery in the world), and I was trying to use that for reference.
But after I described the esters in the beers that I like, he was able to recommend a spot-on recommendation.
Ohhh mah gahd, I am going to say it!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE BAR ON THE PLANET.
Do you understand what I am saying? I am saying that if I had to pick one place for the rest of my life to drink beer and wine (who needs liquor, really?), this would be it. PERIOD.
Below is the collective reasoning as to why...
Let's start at the beginning. This motherland of beer and wine is just off of Duval so it already gets brownie points for deterring the obnoxious douche bags that ask people to flash them for beads.
Next, let's discuss decor. Whoever decorated this place (and I can assure you I plan to find out the next time I am in KW) knew just what kind of eye candy I need. For those in Miami, imagine The Room, but brighter (not too bright, just right- thinking white Christmas lights kind of brightness), CLEAN, rustic yet hip with amazing art on the wall (my favorite was the take on Bumble the Abominable Snowman from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer holding a bottle of wine from The Porch, for those of you who can't remember Bumble, here you go: http://www.youtube.com/w…).
Now, this place is called a Craft Beer and Fine Wine Bar so after being captivated by the actual front porch where cafe tables and chairs are set up so you can enjoy your drink, and you get passed the amorous feelings after reviewing the beer menu, you may wonder, "But where is all the wine?" Upon taking a short trip to the bathroom, where I entered the second room at The Porch, I saw it! A WALL OF WINE so big it made me salivate. Yet another reason for me to come back.
Oh wait, I mentioned the bathroom. Just go to the bathroom even if you don't have to "go" to the bathroom. This little room is so trippy that I can tell you that I would follow Alice down any rabbit hole if it meant ending up at The Porch.
There is also an old school Pac Man table top machine for those of you interested in a quick game and a giant booth in the back room if you feel like sitting on a throne.
Oh and the music is awesome! Not sure if it was an iPod or Sirius but it was such an eclectic mix of music with everything from Phoenix to Lupe Fiasco to Wilson Pickett.
If there was ever a spot I would call mine, this is it.
Now, onto the good stuff! The booze! I apologize in advance for not paying attention to the wine list on this visit but I was mesmerized by the beer menu. A menu of which, I am certain, most young kids stumbling in from the Bull across the street would turn their noses at because they aren't interested in spending more than $2 on a beer. Really quickly back to the wine (sorry I am so scattered but I am overcome with excitement about this place)...the wine, right...the wine must be good because I can honestly say at least 1/3 of the guests had wine in comparison to beers, so that has to be a good sign.
Oh another note, then onto the beer--promise--no smoking inside and it was actually quite pleasant because of that!
Yes, Beer! Hmmmmmm, beer! On tap they had:
Cigar City- Patio Tools (I had this and it was deeeevine!)
Dog Fish Head - Palo Santo (Had this too and it was very good)
Seadog- Blueberry
Magic Hat #9
Stone- Arrogant Bastard
Palm- Lager (Had this and it was just what the bartender described, a mimic of New Belgium's Fat Tire)
Shipyard- XXXX IPA
Woodchuck- Pear
Left Hand - Milk Stout
Dog Fish Head- 60 minute IPA
Chimay Blue
Sam Adams- Noble Pils
They also had close to 50 beers in the bottle. Now, this may not have been the most comprehensive beer list I have ever seen in one place, but with all of the other elements combined, it was enough.
