This was not the most Posh bar I have been too, but still a decent place. Â I was invited to a private party here last weekend and had fun dancing the night away with a couple of my besties. Â When I first heard the name, I thought it was a club with cozy velvet couches. Â But, as the name says, it is not a club, just a small bar. Â When my friends and I were looking for the bar, we drove right past. Â It is conveniently located (for those who live in Chula Vista) near the mall, but not in the hippest area, as it is located among non-trendy, and some empty storefronts. Â It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you enter, it is modern and sleek, though not terribly "Posh". Â It is a big room with a tiny "VIP" room in back. Â If it is not too crowded, there is plenty of floor space to dance, as there aren't too many seats. Â The Saturday night mix of Latin, Pop, 80's and Hip Hop was not too original, but could please anyone. Â Our cocktail waitress/bartender was great, and she kept our glasses full with the top-shelf cocktails at reasonable prices.
It was a great night, but I would probably only return if I were invited for another private party.
Dude, go on a Friday night and dance your heart out--the bartenders already gave me two free drinks.
If you're looking for a place to go with a group, and sit in a lounge-esque area, this is pretty good.
If you're looking for a place to meet new people, this didn't seem to be it. At Wild Wooley's the folks on the dance floor were much less clique-y.
