Fn place to go and listen to live music and hang with friends. They have inexpensive beers and a good selection. It is nothing fancy but fun for a local joint.

Reasonably priced beer and decent selection.  Plenty of space to roam around.  Usually either live music or karaoke at night.  Secluded area for darts.  You can bring your drink outside (at least my group of friends were able to on a weeknight, not sure about a weekend).  Haven't had any food so no comment there.

Its alright by me, typical Quincy bar with the added bonus of live music.

Awesome outdoor hanging area, inside it's small, tight and tends to be more of a dance club than a bar. Not my thing

I love this bar buuuut I'm a big karaoke fan and the Karaoke DJ (Cait Ford) here sucks... My FB status today: So I attended the WORST karaoke hosts show last night... She was HORRIBLE! I put up a song... She didn't ask my name... So I told her... Kelly is not that hard to remember... Maybe you should note it somewhere...?... She still proceded to just point at me when it was my turn to sing. Then on top of that I felt like every other song she was up singing with her friends. She also was bitching during the Bruins that she better still get paid all he r$$.. If that a DJ is getting paid the amount she said for karaoke then the PRC owner is crazy. No avid karaoke goer would go to her show... That was def my first and last... I gave her a shot and I hated it. Even my friends who dont give two sh*ts about karaoke were like "WTF was wrong with your mic. It was like she had the base waaay up" ... And the best part was she didnt know how to make her singing screen different from her computer screen. I walked up and was like "You know you can make that easier on your self right? And she said "I didnt have time" ... Ummm HELLLLLO dumb a$$ DJ who doesnt know what the f*ck your doing cuz you think ur cool cuz you were on TV leave this to people who do know what they are doing and actually take pride in what they do... It takes 2 seconds... SMH

Props to these guys for hosting the after party for This is Boston last month, free live music on top of a great benefit show across the street. Also loved that they dropped the Murder Junkies over GG Allin's coattail riding piece of shit brother making some really gross statements and then called the piece of shit out on Facebook. That was pretty great.

And of course, is Owen there?

This place is great, there is a bartender named Kerri i believe her name is.... she makes me feel as if i was in my own living room. However i feel like alot of the other bartenders are younger girls who are still learning.  Its one place in quincy center where it doesnt matter if your black, white, punk rock, hippie, irish, or a prep, its just chill. Also the two owners are good people that put in alot of work themselves.
I also like the food alot its great.

this place has gone to hell.....the bands suck....the place is filthy....no toilet paper, toilets don't flush.....the bar is a landing strip for fruit flies.....if you don't cover your drink you will find several dead bugs in it.....this place was great when it was abbott's but it is crap now.....lots of young kids swilling PBR.....unless you like kindergarten i suggest you go elsewhere

The stars are really for the food only.  The food is really, really good here. My boyfriend and I have been her twice and met the chef both times.  He is a really interesting fellow who takes great pride in his work, as he should.  I've had  fish-n-chips a million times, in the US, and in Ireland and England.  Nowhere have I had such delicious fish-n'chips as I have at President's Rock Club.   I like to get them with a side of curry sauce - also amazing.  So delicious.

Drawbacks - the glassware smells like its been wiped with a dirty bar rag.  The place could be cleaner.  I get a little skeeved out when I stare in any one direction for too long.

What really bummed me out though is the fact that the waitress felt it necessary to apologize for the chef saying, "I hope he isn't annoying you."  The comment offended me.  Was she asking us this because he is foreign?  NO ONE else was in the restaurant.   it wasn't like it was busy.   I felt welcomed by the chef, who, by the way, was the first to come over and say hello, not a host or a waitress.  Maybe the chef should have apologized for them.

Very disappointed in how the staff treated us there last night.

We organize a charity pub crawl every year, and last night one of our stops was the PRC (this was not our first year having PRC as part of the pub crawl).  When we arrived, they had no idea we were coming, despite having called and advising them of the date of the event 4 TIMES!  Not sure where the miscommunication was, but wasn't on our end.    Bartenders did the best they could, but ended up having to pull people from the back to help behind the bar.  They did not have the second bar open, and when I suggested that they send one of the bartenders there to alleviate some congestion, I was told rather gruffly by some "gentleman" that was helping out that it wouldn't help anything and no one would go to the back bar (ok, suit yourself, hero...)

Our Crawl ended around 8:30 or so, so many people had hoped to return there, thinking there may be live music... The guy at the door announced "No one with a blue shirt gets in."

I understand that they probably deal with pub crawls frequently and they can be tricky, but this was not a 21-year-old crowd.  There was no one visibly intoxicated... We were just informed that we "had been drinking all day" and no one wearing a pub crawl shirt was going to get in.

I think the bottom line is someone dropped the ball and didnt put staff on, and their way of dealing with their own ineptitude was to make a blanket no-entry policy.  None of the bars that we dispersed to after had any problems with us.

Not sure how much money got spent there during our initial 45-minute visit, but they would've made a lot more on our return if the doorman was capable of judging whether an INDIVIDUAL should be denied entry rather than basing it on a shirt color.

Went to President's Rock Club for the first time this week.  Although it's a small menu  the food was excellent.  Prices were reasonable on both food and drinks.  Waitress was food good and it had a really cool atmosphere.

Great place, really unique to the Quincy area. The food is great so are the drinks and bartenders. The best part is there is a very low percentage of white hat meatheads in this place. A+

I will keep the score at what I had it.

We decided to give the place another shot.  The menu online says " Breakfast served all day ".

We walked in at noon Wednesday 19 Dec and they were doing some sort of inventory, with beer bottles all over the bar.  we were politely informed that no, they were not now, or usually, open for lunch.

When then do they serve this breakfast ?  5 PM ?

came in here once when it was texas saloon didnt like it then, came back when the same owners made it the presidents rock club at first i really liked it.me and friends came here on saturday nights and we would sit in the dining area.there was a new door guy i believe his name was colin he was very rude to a few of my friends on different occasions.he made us all feel uncomfortable on many occasions.he walks around the bar as if he owns the damn place and talks to customers like garbage.sorry rock club you was doing good until you hired him we wont be back we will be next door in s6 where the drinks are much cheaper and the staff are friendlier.i have heard a lot of complaints about him from people in s6.apart from that the place looks good and the food is out of this world.the drinks have crept up in price for a bar in quincy.theres a girl called kerry who works there she is the best bar tender i have ever come across and always freindly and helpful.the rest are miserable.FIRE the door guy colin and custom will come back just saying, forgot to add also i dont know who you have has a cook now but i here he/or she is a awesome cook and giving the rock club a good reputation so i here.i did actualy like this bar but the overall on the new staff they hired is not good bring back the old bar staff.AND LOWER THE PRICES ON BEER AND FOOD way to expensive for a small time local bar

My girlfriends and I came to this place to see our favorite Alternative Rock cover band, Double Shot.
It's not a bad place, not great, but not bad, they just has a really weird set up for bands to play.
When you walk in, you go to the right, & there is a bar that goes the length of the wall and there is wall othe other side, it's kinda narrow, so it's a little tight if it gets crowded in here, then you enter where the band plays, but no stage, so you are kinda on topof them when they are performing, as you keep making your way around on the other side is the seating area and is made up of long tables, high tops & couches and then your at the exit again, (just imagine a rectangle with a wall in the middle, entrance on one end & band plays on the other?

The drinks are cheap & strong, mostly female bartenders and heavily tattooed bar backs.
They do have outside seating which is a plus, when it gets too hot inside

They serve the usually bar food like Chicken fingers, Wings, Onion rings  & pizza here as well.

Came here for a friend's birthday, and though I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, I will admit that I had a fun time!

We came specifically for the live music, which was done by a group called Cherrie Bomb - who, may I add, were pretty darn awesome. The thing that struck me as interesting was just how varied the age range was - I feel like normally the bars in Quincy Center are full of people in their 20s to mid-30s..and there were people much older than that here.

Definitely a place to try at least once!

Crappy jukebox commandeered by some 80's easy listening idiot and I cant get out of here fast enough!!!!!

They just updated their menu, and it's really great, especially for a rock bar.  Fried pickles?  I can pretty much guarantee that the girlfriend will happily join me for a drink when fried pickles are involved.

They just hired Foolosopher Trivia for Wednesday nights, have an open mic night after trivia, and Thursdays have this really cool rock night that offers a total mix of great music.  Finally, a real rock club again on the south shore, with great food to boot.

And they now have Belhaven on tap!

They have hired a new cook and the food is good quality bar food.  The bartenders are great and the patrons are great.  Sitting outside having a beer is nice.

Food was ok when it opened, I a huge Irish Breakfast fan and was that impressed but the last 2 weekends I went in, St Patricks and this past Sunday I was blown away how much better the Irish Breakfast was. Asked my server who told me they've changed the kitchen staff and these guys knew how to make an Irish Breakfast. My new hang out spot for the weekends.
Also checked out a few bands in here and was pleasantly pleased to be honest. Seen a band called Crunchy Monkey and they were great.
