My husband and I were visiting Annapolis for our anniversary weekend.  We had heard that Pusser's was a must-see in terms of places to eat on the Annapolis waterfront.  We ordered an oysters appetizer and sweet potato fries.  For dinner my husband has the grilled red snapper and I had the grilled corvina special.  The food was very tasty, and the portions were large.  Our server was very attentive even though she seemed to be slammed with tables.
On the con's side....The wait for a table was 1.5 hours for indoor seating, and 2 hours for outdoor.  I have never heard of such a long wait in my life, even in the City of Philadelphia where we reside.  Thanks goodness we had made a reservation on Open Table and were seated very quickly.  I had also signed up for the restaurent's newsletter, and was emailed a coupon for a FREE appetizer.  We showed the coupon to our server on our smartphone, and were told that the coupon must be printed in order for them to honor it??  How many travelers have access to a printer on their vacation?  I think the least the restaurant could have done was honor the coupon, especially after our $65 plus dinner, and $100 plus drink bill we ran up while sitting at the outside bar.
I would say that Pusser's in definitely a place you want to visit for drinks while in Annapolis, but there are much better places to eat for sure!

I am not a shy drinker, but the PainkillerSignature drink was no joke.  I had heard about it from my brother who goes to the Pusser's in BVI, but we were just looking to kill some time in a cute atmosphere, so found our way to Pusser's in historic Annapolis.

We sat at the bar on the dock, which was a nice treat to be On The Water without all the snobbery that usually comes with being on the water.

The bar staff was fun and attentive, despite the hefty crowd. We ordered some oysters on the half, which were fine... Nothing outrageous or locale specific... Just fun.  Then decided to go for the Oysters Rockefeller.  That was hard to give up half of them to my boyfriend.... Really yummy..  The cheese on top was backed in and nutty crispy without being rubbery,  that was a great rendition.

But definitely get a painkiller.  Level 4. And enjoy the water.

Came by here in a late Sunday evening for a dinner outside by the bar.  We got a nice seat near the water and had an amazing server (Jason..I think). He was very responsive and gave us just enough space to enjoy our meals.  We both ordered fish and pretty much cleaned our plates.  I had the mango ginger snapper which was tasty.  The green beans and carrots were a little bland but the snapper was cooked nicely with a nice sweet salsa.  I had the Painkiller #3 to drink which was no joke and could definitely mess you up if you had a few of those...  Overall nice experience and an ideal spot for people watching on a Sunday evening.

This is one of those venerable Annapolis institutions I had somehow never heard of in a lifetime of enjoying the city. In the end, though, I don't think I was missing much!

We met some friends for drinks here on the season's first sunny afternoon. Our table drank a LOT and the server was really fun, teasing us casually about the number of drinks we ordered and how hard she had to work to keep up with us. When her shift ended she warned the next server that we were high-maintenance. But it was all (honestly!) in good fun and we appreciated her laid-back attitude.

Drinks were pretty good: I enjoyed the Painkiller, which is their signature drink made with rum and fruit juices. It's not too sweet if you order two shots and sip it slowly so the ice has time to melt. My friends were drinking the Dark & Stormy, which wasn't on the menu but they made it well (ginger ale and dark rum; I think it was Gosling's.)

The food was terrible. I ate one oyster and almost spit it into the harbor -- it tasted strongly metallic. I've never had one like that before and wouldn't try a second. The mussels were served in a watery broth with limp, flavorless vegetables, and they were pretty small and rubbery. The fish tacos came with iceberg lettuce and jarred salsa.

The view is lovely, and I have to assume that's why most people go here: lapping waves, picturesque boats, sun sparkling on the water. Stick to liquid refreshment and you just might enjoy yourself, too!

The food was horrible, couldn't the hostess, and wait staff was friendly enough. The atmosphere by the water was about the best thing there! Even with the nice water view I most likely would not be coming back here again.

While the food was great as always, the hostess station was a disaster. We made a reservation for 6 and when we arrived about 10 minutes early. I went to the hostess station to check in, they had no names for anyone that had reservations. Told me that the inside was being reserved for a large party and would have a 15- 60 minutes wait.

15-60 minute wait is quite a stretch of time and a very large gap to tell a customer. I was handed my little buzzer and told to wait. As I had just sat down in the lobby area, the buzzer went off and our group headed to the hostess stand. The waitress that was seating us only grabbed two menus and when I mentioned that we are a party of 6, everyone looked totally confused.

Seems that they did not record the correct number and when I looked at the list, the buzzer number I had next to my name was also listed after two others. We ended up getting placed outside, even though I requested inside seating on my reservation. Which I guess never really was taken when I called earlier in the day.

So when I questioned that we wanted to be seated inside, the hostess that was seating us said it would be 15-60 of wait before we could be taken care. Not quite sure what the reason is for them taking reservations, if they are not going to hold to them or outright lose them.

We ended up eating outside, since we did not want to wait 15-60 minutes beyond our confirmed reservation. It was cold, windy, smoky and not very enjoyable. We hurried through dinner just to get inside. We actually told the waiter to bring us our bill inside.

I went here on a Friday night a few months ago for drinks with friends. Everything was fine until closing. I got it, the bar closes at 2 AM and normally lights go on at 1:45 AM. However, at Pusser's the lights went on at 1:30 AM and the doormen began to kick everyone out. To make a long story short, we were told that the bar was closing at 1:35 AM. A bartender agreed that we shouldn't be asked to leave so soon but his concerns were disregarded by a doorman because: "What does he know? He only makes $10 an hour." I ended up in a verbal altercation with one of the many rude doormen. I have been to many a bar and night club but have never seen such rude and unprofessional doormen. One of the drunk girls in our group insulted one of the doormen then a group of doormen began to sling insults at our group. A rule for doormen or "bouncers", if your prefer, is to deescalate situations and remain professional. If a doormen get insulted, they shouldn't insult back and just do their job. These doormen closed the bar when they felt like it and were very unprofessional. It is a cool-looking bar but I won't go there again.

This is definitely a tourist trap. We went there on someone's recommendation. The service was horrible. They never check on drinks for a refill and hard to flag someone down even for a glass of water. The prices are extravagant for the quality you get for it. The only redeeming thing about this place is the location.

I have never had a meal here that disappointed me. The food is consistently excellent, the service is fine and the outside tables are the best seat in Annapolis.

This was a cool little place located where I was staying at the Marriott while in Annapolis.  I liked the exotic/tropical theme the place had. The drinks where really strong and good overall. I'd recommend trying it out.

I was in Annapolis with a coworker and we were driving around trying to find a place to get crab cakes.  He stopped in at a gas station and that guy recommended Pussers.

The bread was OK, but service was horrible.  My drink was always empty and I rarely saw someone to flag down for a refill.  The crab cakes were ok, but I've had better for a better price.
They brought the check immediately after bringing out entrees without even asking about dessert.  It really seemed like they wanted us gone.

Took my parents here when they came to visit and thought it was a nice place.  We made reservations  but found that there wasn't really a need for that when we arrived at the restaurant.  We were seated at table overlooking the water (it was late Nov so no outside seating at that point).  Our party tried everything from the Cajun blacked fish fillet, the Maryland crab cakes, the seared snapper, fish and chips and even the curried chicken. The food was fresh, hot and very flavorful!  Everything was delicious and the service was very prompt and friendly.  The only thing I wouldn't recommend was the nachos as an appetizer.  Perhaps this was our fault for ordering this in a seafood restaurant ( i admit.....its an odd choice) but it was served promptly...it wasn't anything special and definitely not a repeat item.

Other than that.... I would recommend this place for their seafood and even for the one chicken dish our party ordered.

I've been coming to pusser for  years. I've been here for Lunch, dinner, happy hour and a night out. The nights out are always fun here. The food is good, I've never had anything bad at pussers. Their pain killers are amazing must try drink. Prices at happy hour are pretty good over wise drinks can be a little costly. The deck is great when the weather is good.

I love eating outdoors on the edge of a dock.  I was there Friday 9/7/12 at 4pm. Got a table outdoors right on the edge.   Good news:  Happy hour is 4-7 pm.  $3 drinks.  E.g., $3 house wine, $3 beer, $3 screwdriver.  My screwdriver had more alchohol than all the drinks I've had recently at other local restaurants.  It was refreshing to be at a bar that  didn't water down the mixed drinks.  Good news #2:  Lunch menu was still in effect until 5pm -- so we probably saved a bunch of money.  I had the Cuban shrimp/rice/beans, and enjoyed it.  A friend had the steamed shrimp appetizer and said that the same appetizer at Kentmorr was better -- that at Kentmorr, the shrimp seemed fresh, perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned.  That said, the shrimp at Pussers looked just fine.  We shared the crab dip appetizer with bread.  I enjoyed that too.  For dessert, I had the coconut ice cream, banana slices, caramel sauce, whipped cream and a cookie.  Yum.  I'd definitely go back.  I enjoyed sitting outdoors and enjoyed the food -- and good service.   We also got free on-street parking 1/2 block away.

Pusser's is a solid location for having a few drinks on the Annapolis Harbor. And right outside the restaurant is Water Taxi service, so if need be, you can get around quickly.

Their cocktails are to be expected. You pay anywhere between six and eight dollars for one drink. The drinks were good. And the best appetizer just may be the jerk chicken and pineapple quesadillas. The service was fine for a relaxed, "beach-like" atmosphere. We never received plates for our appetizers but other than that it's worth visiting if you'd like to enjoy the harbor views and relax.
