q doba is usually decent, though overpriced for what it is.
But i just went to this location in greenwood just south of the mall. It was awful.
I had 3 chicken tacos, for 7 bucks. The chicken was stone cold in the middle, service was awful. Â Mexicans working that couldnt understand much, i didnt even go back to complain, just an awful restaurant. I mean for 7 bucks for 3 tiny tacos, i would expect atleast the meat to be hot and ingredients perfect.
Taco bell could offer the same 3 tacos with more meat for under 3 bucks and while you can tell the ingredients here are better than taco bell, i would of rather gone to taco bell.
I would stay away atleast from this one.
For what it is, Qdoba is awesome. I always get the chicken nachos. Â They start with their store-made tortilla chips, and then add a few ladles of their nacho cheese sauce. This sauce is very good, a bit spicy, but not overwhelming. Â After that, they give you the option of black or pinto beans. Â You can then add meat (chicken, steak, and I believe pulled pork). Â Finally you select the salsa, and get the option of adding more shredded cheese, and sour cream. Â They have a good variety of salsas to choose from. Â I always get the pico de gallo, which I believe is their mild salsa. They also have give the option of lowfat sour cream.
The staff is generally friendly, and efficient. Â The only gripe I have is that, depending on who "builds" your dish, the quantity you get of each ingredient varies significantly... Â so sometimes your food will be perfect, and other times there will be too little cheese, or too much salsa, etc. Â But the portion is always huge, and you definitely get filled up. Â Even if the ratio of ingredients is slight off. The pricing is pretty good. Â Definitely more than like... Â Taco Bell... Â But then again, you get what you pay for.
