Ok this Qdoba restored all my faith in Qdobas, so for that you earn 5 stars. Â It is located at Primm next to a Chevron gas station/Subway/Dairy Queen.
If you've gone to Chipotle, there's no way you could go to Qdoba and not compare it to Chipotle. Â
1. Pick the shape of your food, including: taco, burrito, naked burrito (bowl instead of tortilla), salad, nachos, quesadilla...
2. Pick your rice (cilantro rice or spanish brown rice) and beans
3. Pick your meat: chicken, steak, pulled pork
4. Pick your toppings: salsas, sour cream, cheese, guac...
So naturally, when I had gone to Qdoba before (it was in California), I ordered my Chipotle equivalent:
- for burrito: rice, beans, steak, pico de gallo, corn, sour cream cheese
- for salad: same as above with chicken, plus lettuce
But I did not like those that much at Qdoba, they were kind of bland. Â Perhaps I just enjoy the salad dressing more at Chipotle?
Anyways, back to this one particular experience at this Qdoba at Primm, on the way home from Vegas last sunday. Â I wanted something that I could easily eat in the car with a fork so I opted for the naked burrito, with the spanish rice, black beans, steak, pico de gallo, corn salsa, sour cream and shredded cheese. Â The customer before me had ordered nachos and the cheese sauce looked really good, so I got some of that too... and that naked burrito was soooooooo good!!
One of my friends dislikes Chipotle because the food always comes out cold. Â If you feel the same, go to Qdoba and get some of that warm gooey cheese sauceeee mmmmm... The steak was flavorful and tender like it had just been cooked. Â The pico de gallo and corn were fresh. Â It was a comforting dish, especially when you're coming back from Vegas all tired and want to relax with some warm food. Â I am now willing to go to any Qdoba again to eat this!
The bonus about this location is that it's connected to the gas station and convenience store. Â sooooo... get some hot cheetos to sprinkle on top... Â yum. Â Good service too!
Located at the Chevron Truck Stop near the Whiskey Pete's parking garage, along with a convenience mart, Starbucks, and Subway.
This review is for 3.5 stars. We had a late dinner, after 8 pm (we went back to the outlet mall). The prices were reasonable $6.25 for a chicken salad. The salad size was pretty big, grilled chicken, green lettuce, corn, medium salsa, sour cream and shredded cheese, served inside a taco shell. It was good, but the chicken seemed to be a tad overdone or maybe it was old. The salsa was really good. My husband got a burrito was it was a little on the small side. Good thing we made a beeline for this place, because there ended up being a long line here, one set of customers at Subway (the pricing was really expensive there), but the rest were here. Free refills, next to cashier/counter.
The seating for all the eats here, was huge- bar stools along the wall, and tables with chairs- about 20 of them. Clean too. Free Wi-Fi here.
Convenient location because if you needed gas or snacks, you could come here too, since everything is here at the truck stop. Also, a little casino area in front too.
This is a good spot to stop at if you're in need of a quick and convenient place to grab food at Stateline. The exit off the 15 is easy and it shares space with a Starbucks, Subway, Chevron gas station and in the future a Diary Queen will be opening. Their restrooms are clean and there's also an ATM.
In terms of food, this is almost identical to a Chipotle. They make tacos, burritos, quesadillas and salads with choices of black beans, white cilantro lime rice, corn salsa, fajita veggies, etc. I think their portions might be slightly smaller than Chipotle, but other than that, the is quality very comparable.
