QL's Barbeque

YOU GUYS, QL'S IS IN THE VILLAGE NOW EEEEEEEEEEEE

I could stop the review right there with a 'nuff said, but I'll refrain.  Yes, they really are in the Village, as my girlfriend and I found out while trying to get some ribs from their usual location on Wolfe Street during a trip back home to Meet The Parents, as it were.  "CLOSED TODAY FOR MAINTENANCE," said a sign stuck over the menu, causing my stomach to settle like a cold, hungry stone, but then right beneath that, "NOW OPEN IN THE VILLAGE NEXT TO SUBWAY."

Sweet!  ...Except we had just been in the Village and had a bit of an adventure getting to Wolfe Street, driving as we were mostly on my somewhat shoddy memories of the local geography in a temperamental Chevy Blazer as old as we were.

But what the hell, right?  We went back and, despite her wondering what in the world I was thinking, got a full rack of ribs in their original sauce.  Conversation promptly died as we stuffed our usually-somewhat-vegetarian selves with the best barbeque in pretty much the whole universe.  I was tempted to buy another half rack of ribs just to fill in the stomach corners, but she talked me out of it because she didn't want to have to roll me out to the car...truck...thing.

There are tables!  They're sketchy as hell and covered in the cheapest red and white checker print tablecloths ever and there are folding chairs!  And a big white table you can draw on!  In other words, it's perfect.  I guess there's also ice cream too?  It's kind of two businesses hanging out in one store, I think...I admit I have no idea what the ice cream place is called, or if it's any good.  We didn't feel the need.  I think they prepare the ribs back home and then just bring them and their amazing sauce along and keep it hot all day.  For some foods this would be blasphemy, for ribs, whatever!  It's not like they didn't just smoke and grill them for hours, and they're as epic as usual even at 5:30pm.  It's no thang.

So yeah, for any of you that remember where Gordy's Art Mart used to be, or whatever it's called now (just Art Mart I think?), it's totally in there, and that's really weird to me, because I'm old.  :C

BUT WHO CARES ABOUT ANY OF THAT YOU GUYS, QL'S IS IN THE VILLAGE AND YOU CAN GET RIBS RIGHT THERE EEEEEEEEEEE
