Scotty's has really went downhill in the past year. Â They have gotten rid of a lot of their best beers and replaced them with their own "Three Wise Men" that they brew in Indianapolis. Â Also, they have recently changed their menu and gotten rid of many of their good items (ribs, mashed potatoes and a lot of their sides). Â They have also changed their macaroni and cheese, which is now awful and raised the prices of their pitchers on Tuesdays. Â
Want to fix this Mr. Wise? Â Bring back Three Floyd's Beer, go back to your old menu, and change the price of your pitchers on Tuesdays. Â I've been going here for years with my parents and the last visit they assured me this would no longer be "the place" we choose to eat at when they visit.
This place has great "bar food". Â They serve Sprecker's root beer on tap (awesome). Â My favorite thing here is a burger I think they call the Sherman. Â It has jalapeno peppers, cheese, and peanut butter (yes, peanut butter). Â I just had to try it and now I find myself craving it.
The staff is very good and they do whatever is necessary to make sure your happy. Â Oddly enough they are very family friendly. Â My 2.5 yr old grandson enjoys it.
Scotty's ! Where to begin. It is located in the village which is perfect. I used to walk here with my roommate and meet up with friends for half price apps and pitchers of blue moons.
The food is kinda pricy for college students so we would always make sure to go in time for half price appetizers to start and just fill up on that. If you are going to go this route too make sure you show up early or else you will be waiting a lonnngg time. Half Price Apps starts at 9pm so we would always try to show up at 7:45 or 8 and just drink until then. Looking back that sounds kinda crazy but Scotty's is filled with mostly college kids so its fun to socialize with everyone else before hitting Dill Street or the Locker Room.
In terms of food I thinks its so/so. I always get their loaded potato wedges or buffalo wings or chips and salsa. Their burgers and chicken sandwiches are pretty good too.
They have a huge menu so you are bound to find something you like. & they have outdoor seating which is nice during the summer. The service is always pretty good despite the huge crowds --the waitresses are always quick to return to your table and fill up your pitcher.
