Q's kicks a$$ and takes names. It's just a fun place...period. The weekend bands are fun, it's a total dive, and the staff is 100% top notch.
When it comes to the food...it's great if you're looking for good comfort food. Burgers, sandwiches, fries, rings, wings & half price apps most days til 6:30. And their fish on Friday & Saturday is THE BEST considering it's Colorado. Seriously good!
Highly recommend
We've been here a few times (enough to write a review) and so I'd thought I have enough info to put in a good word. First off it's a great place for live music. It's a good looking local bar w/good food (had the brisket and sliders) and great drink prices. The wait staff was very good and even though there was a good crowd, we never felt unattended to. I def' recommend if you're in the area or even if you live close by to check it out. One minus would be the patio is a smoking area so it's hard to enjoy that area if you don't smoke.
Review Source:If you are in the Ken Caryl neighborhood, this is definitely worth trying! Â
It's a neighborhood (one of the few around) bar and grill. Â Live music Thurs-Sat and trivia Mon and Wed nights. Â We went for the trivia and had a blast!! Â We were skeptical to try the food, but it was fine. Â A big and diverse menu for a little bar. Â
If you are looking for fine wine you can forget it, but that is the worst I can say about my experience. Â Very entertaining and it won't break the bank!
In my opinion the trivia is very deserving of your time. Â The prizes are good and the competition is stiff! Â A sample of one of the trivia questions.......Bamboo Harvester was the real name of what famous TV animal? Â Are you kidding me? Â I barely remember Mr. Ed :-)
Q's is my absolute favorite "Other Side" burger spot. Â Â Sure, it's a dive bar...but isn't that where you usually find great burgers--
You're not going to find a wine list. Â You're not going to find frills of any kind. Â Most of the time, I'm serving myself -- Â getting my own utensils and napkins, but so what. Â The food is good and cheap. Â There is usually only 1 waitress on duty, and she's busier then a cat covering poo, so I don't mind the help yourself attitude-in fact I rather like it. Â Gives it a "Cheers" feel to it.
The only other food I've had here is the wings ( very good), and onion rings (A+). Â Usually it's a no brainer --- bacon/swiss burger, rare +, side of fries, and a V&T if I'm drinking.
Greasy burger and beer joint that I really enjoyed.
The menu is great and very inexpensive. They have Prime Rib on the weekends. Do not head to this place if you are on a diet, cuz the menu is primarily greasy burgers, philly cheese steaks and fries.
Great place for a burger and a beer after work. Cool patio. Friendly servers.
