    Crab Heaven!

A good restaurant with all kinds of all you can eat specials. It reminds me of Catfish Dewey's in Broward County except the decor is more beach shack than Country hitching post.

I went on Thursday and had all you can eat snow crabs. the portions were fantastic and the refills were with full clusters not broken up legs etc... It came with fries and a salad. I could have had coleslaw or a baked potato but I choose the other two. The fries and slaw were ok. Nothing really extraordinary about either one,  Service is excellent and the beer was cold.

I sat and ate and ate and ate as the Heat played on TV while I had a big smile on my buttery face. I would  be a regular if I lived local. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

Might have been a little dead, for the time of year, but seems like something was missing. Very good "homebrew" and the waitstaff was attentive. Just a little dead. Would go again to check it out if in Treasure Island.

All you can eat Snow Crab starting at 4pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Crab Legs are decent. Not mushy, not overly salty, water seems like it's changed frequently, and the biggest thing is it's not "dirty crab"!  We also had a salad (which was a few pieces of iceberg lettuce and a tomato wedge) coleslaw (good flavor, but old) but who goes for that stuff anyways I ask? The restaurant is not a pretty place to go to by any means.. But for $26.95, leave the sides on the side and eat all you can of those tasty, yummy, Snow Crab Legs!

The owner of this place should be embarrassed!

I was in for brunch on Sunday morning this past weekend.
The Barmaid (pregnant) looked like she was high on pills.
slouched in, walking like a zombie. I even commented about how tired she looked.
    She thanked me. WTF????
I received my drink after about 10 minutes, but not until I was partially finished with it did I notice that the glass was FILTHY!!!! DISGUSTING!
Another woman came to assist after old slow and wobbly  wandered off into oblivion whom was much more personable and willing to provide good service.
    Here is the problem though.
Just because you want to doesn't mean you are capable of.
She couldn't remember our orders, or drinks, she was REALLY REALLY slow.
I asked for my check and even that took her 15 minutes to get. She like a goldfish.
    easily sidetracked.
The best part was, for me any way that she failed to properly charge me for my brunch.
I had 2 eggs, double bacon, toast, hash, and 3 screwdrivers fall for the whopping total of $4.75.
I would be remiss if I failed to mention that I did give her a dollar as a tip because I almost felt bad that she was that smart.
additionally, I watched another man return his meal for a refund after it took 45 minutes for the first nitwit to deliver it incorrectly, and the old time regulars at the end of the bar complained that their potatoes were cold.
    Keep up the GREAT work

It's All about the Food and Service in this place!!

My partner and I got turned on to this hidden gem from a local friend.  R Bar reminds me of the taverns my father and grandfather used to take me to.  A place that while not the best looking,  has people with really great hearts and personalities; and food that is well prepared.

They offer a different all you can eat specials on each day of the week.  We went for the crab legs and again for the peel and eat shrimp and BBQ ribs.  All of the food we had at this place was excellent.
The home made cole slaw is the best I have tasted in MANY years!!!!
The fries as well are cooked perfectly!

This is the type of place that is totally unpretentious and worth every penny.  A great place to go after a day on the beach and the prices cant be beat!  We will definitely be back on our next vacation.

This is a great "local" dive. Make sure you come early on Tuesday or Thursday for the all u can eat crab legs.

But it's well worth the wait!

Diamond in the rough. My family of four went there for all you can eat crab Thursdays. When they say all you can eat they mean it.  I think I had over two pounds and my teenaged sons ate over three pounds each.

Great atmosphere, attentive service and good food. It may not be gourmet but it is good well prepared food.

O.K., it's not that pretty.  Inside or out.  But what comes out of the kitchen will make up for the lack of HGTV digs!  Well known by locals and season folks, my BFF and I go almost every sunday for end of weekend sustenance and a little hair of the dog.  We also hit the "all you can eat" prime rib or catfish on friday nights. FYI: They have all you can eat specials all week, y'all.    Lana, the owner,  and Mike, the manager, are always hard at work, making sure everyone has their next helping of food or cold beverage.  There is live music by Mike Calzone, who whips the crowds into a frenzy with his oldies but goodies renditions.  There may be a little wait for a table, or seat at the bar, but you'll get good food for cheap and probably meet folks from your hometown!
