This place has gone downhill. It used to be really good. Now the food is still yummy, but the service has gone way down. There was one time I went here, and the waitor was so incompetent that in an HOUR AND A HALF we had no refills on our drink, he let our salads sit up in the window until they werent able to be served. Then we got out entress before our salad, and never receieved the salads and he refused to take them off the bill.

I hope this place picks up, they make some mean food.

Sour beers are worth a visit to Raccoon Lodge if you've never had them. Virtually no aftertaste and great fruit flavor. eat elsewhere!!

We've been fortunate to visit the Lodge a few times now and each time I am more nd more happy. The most recent was when the patio opened and the sun was shining -- I mean what better way to enjoy the wonderful weather and a cold beer.

Also I must mention that their sour beers are FAB!!! seriously good beer, food, and staff!!!

Had a Portland ale. OK, but nothing to distinguish it from the mediocre beers of say McMins. Food took an hour to come Sat night at 6. Rueben was cold, and 'forgot to mention we were out of rye'. A cold gut bomb on greasy white, back it went. O-rings were so so and also lukewarm. Wife's pub steak was okay. Cooked decently. Won't be back.

I stopped by here for a drink and snack. They had a good selection of beers. The two I tried we're pretty good. I also had the ale battered fries which were ok, but small in size. For two drinks and some fries our bill was $15.00. It was ok, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Ten years ago this place was great, now it's just an utter disappointment. Met a group of friends here for dinner tonight and I couldn't have been more disappointed.

1. I joined the table a little late, my party aready had thier drinks. It was at least 20 minutes before anyone came to check up on us to get my drink order or take our food order.

2. My friend didn't get the beer he ordered not once but twice. Seriously, if you are a pub, teach your staff which beer is the stout and which one in the IPA. I don't even drink beer but understand that this is an important difference.

3. One member of our party ordered a veggie burger, recieved the beef version. The quickly took the food away to re-make her order. However, there was no apology. And by the time we got her order, most of us we practically finished with the meal. We actually watched the food sit on the hot line for a while and our server walk by it several times before another server finally brought the meal. No apology, no comp, no service.

4. The food meh.

5. No cider! Seriously! You can win me over with a good cider.

Why 2 stars instead of 1? Great outdoor space.

I used to love coming here with my family back in the day, but I don't think I'll go back.

Great food and great servers. However this place was way understaffed for a Saturday and getting drinks was like pulling teeth. I wish Oregonians understood the amount of extra money they would make by having more servers during peak hours. However i have never ran a restaurant so take my review with a grain of salt. I juts know that i cannot tolorate poor service

We've hit the Lodge a bunch of times since moving to Multnomah Village a couple years ago. Initially I found it pretty much as it looks: a big, average, family-friendly restaurant with pretty good beer.

But lately I find it better with each visit. I have come to understand what they are doing with their beer, and it's quite good. Much more complex than your standard brew-pub offerings. And the sours, while not for everyone, are quite a treat.

That, and the food has seemed to get better recently as well. We went just after valentines day for dinner, and they had a few specials. My wife had rack of lamb ($19) and I had a surf and turf of halibut and filet medallions ($19). Both meals were shockingly good. Perfectly cooked. They seemed easily $8 underpriced.

The bar downstairs has a good atmosphere and I've liked the bartenders both times I visited.

Stop in for a beer or a meal. I'd bet it outshines your expectations.

The beers are great. The food is okay, but a bit overpriced. It seems to be family friendly, because every time we've eaten here, there are always a lot of kids and families here. There is also a bar downstairs with a pool table and slot machines, if that's your thing.

Food and atmosphere are decent, however the beers are absolutely fantastic!!!! I have not seen as many sours any where else in town besides their sister joint, the ale house. The array of seasonal beers available in this place is incredible and Ben the bartender downstairs is the best!

I don't go to this pub enough! Good selection of their own beers. My girlfriend's mother got a sampler, and needed help finishing it (12 samples, some of which she didn't like). Always have a tough time choosing food, probably due to what I'm feeling like eating more than selection. It's a good change of pace from the other pubs I regularly go to, especially with their sour beers being unlike what most pubs offer.

I had lunch here for the 3rd time today and I thoroughly enjoyed my blackened chicken salad. It had good quality ingredients and a great flavor combination. The booths are comfortable and somewhat private. Their food is consistent and there's something for everyone.

Cascade Brewing Co's beers on tap though not the same depth of selection as the Cascade Barrel House in SE Portland. The food has always been good quality and reasonably priced. Service is good. I like that the place is large and offers different areas like the main dining area, the bar, the basement game room/bar, the wonderful tree lined backyard...etc

For suburbs/outer SW Portland, you won't find a better beer.

I have been here a couple of times now. I am thinking it would be good venue for a company event if I ever get some money in our budget. Maybe something coming up in the near future.

So.. went here on a couple of lunches and dinner. This place has some surprising things on the menu. Just a few words, don't judge a book by it's cover. I really thought at first it was just going to be bar / pub food, but they have some great selections going on here and and I've not been disapointed yet. The salmon is yummo!!

I am glad I stopped in here and tried the place out when I did. I did pass it so many times and thought maybe I'll stop in one of these days.. but I never did up until recently. Love this place when I can't think of anywhere else to go for dinner. The Racoon Lodge fits the bill!

I can't understand the three star average this place has. Okay, let me get this straight. The beer is good to great. The food is above average/standard huge American gut buster faire and the service is nice and yet, 3? No, not okay. Do people hold its SW locale against it? Okay, let me explain my last visit, you know, like a normal "review."

Post athletic victory me, my team, and my girlfriend saunter in to the near empty den. I order the lime ginger honey sour and boy howdy if there isn't a better 7.8% sour to be had. I don't care that the pour was only 8 oz this was a sensational beer. I loved it for every drop. A pitcher of the Portland Ale was also ordered, a nice, though unremarkable pale.

For food I ordered the Rueben with sweet potato fries. Via simple human error my ticket was separated from the rest of my table's food. This meant my food arrived much later than the rest. The uptick is we were gifted two baskets of sweet potato fries and when the tab was delivered it was sans the two beers I ordered. I put sandwiches atop my preferred food list. There is nothing I like more than sandwiches. And in the world sandwiches I (mostly) put Ruebens atop my sandwich hierarchy -total personal aside I'm a simple man that puts the meager peanut butter and jelly sandwich above all other foods. Anyway, the point is I liked this Rueben enough that I'd order it again. Everything I've eaten here I've liked over the years.

And again I wonder why this place has only three stars. Stellar beers and above average food, and that's a three? Malarkey!

The Racc has some of Portland's finest bartenders that know their beer and make the best damn Bloody Mary in PDX. Cascade brews some great sours and other styles. I'm partial to day drinking in the lodge to avoid kids and hang out with their awesome staff. The food is always tasty, but not memorable.

good if you like; Hiding in basements, sours and american styles, bar food, dirty jokes, amazing Bloody Mary's, vintage bikes.

Came here for a going away party. The food here was great and so were the happy hour drinks. The service was fast at first but slowed as our celebration went on. The problem here was the kamikaze gnats. We spent less time chewing and more time swatting bugs. When i asked if they had candles or torches i was ignored. Not cool.

This is a big lodge/tavern. Family friendly, casual dining.

Great beer selection. Mediocre food. Sparse service.

This is a place to head to if you have a lot of time on your hands, are not particular about your dining experience and are ok with uninspired pub food.

I was going to give Raccoon Lodge 3 stars.....the sammiches we had were ok, although I found the Cordon Bleu Chicken sammich a bit salty. Wife like the Chicken and Avocado sammich fine. The fries were nothing more than a bland, packaged variety. The Red Eye Rye beer was good, but the help was really pushing their sour beers. All in all, it was ok.

We sat downstairs in their bar area, and I thought the open viewing of the brewing area was kind of neat. What I hated was that almost olive drab green they painted the walls down there....wow, could you find a more depressing color? They have 5 or 6 TVs, which were all tuned to the Blazer game. And that's ok....but here's where they lose a star:

I asked the bartender if he would turn one of the TVs to the Mariners game. He starts telling how he can't turn this TV or that TV and finally decided he can turn the TV over the bar (no one at the bar at the time). I thank him and go back to our table. 15 minutes later I go to the restroom and come back to find the bar TV back to the Blazer game. What?? I still had half a beer to finish, but wanted to get cashed out anyway, so I told our server I was disappointed in what happened. The bartender comes over and says, "Thought you were gone, didn't see your wife sitting here" and turned it back. If nobody had requested that TV turned back, (and I didn't see him talking to anyone about it, so I'm sure that's the case), why turn it at all?? Just thought it was an amateur move on his part.

The beer is so so so good. They have something new on tap every time I'm there. The food is delicious too. There is a lovely fireplace upstairs in the restaurant portion. And the lounge downstairs is active and fun and affords a cool view of the brewery.

Anyway, it really has great beer and the good food just makes it better. Go for the pulled pork- it's definitely solid. As for beer, everything's great, but if you're interested in trying a sour beer, then do it. They're extra tasty and refreshing.

I give it three based on the yummy beer and variety of selection.

The atmosphere had much to be desired. Before I ended up at my seat downstairs in the Den I took a tour of the place. The upstairs was loud, very loud and full of kids. They had a fire going in the fire place which was nice for the atmosphere but I felt sorry for the tables near it. The Den was boring, plain and could use some character.

I ordered the beer battered fries and the sampler tray of their beers. Although there are 11 listed I was only served 10. Of the 10 only 9 were drinkable. The one that wasn't was a raspberry wheat beer which I detested. I'm not much of a fruit beer drinker. Their 12 Step IPA was delish and one I would buy in the store.

The waiter, who's name escapes me, was decent. He wasn't the best I've ever had nor the worst.

Overall, for a brew pub it was dull. I liked the beer but didn't care for the atmosphere.

I agree with Brian I, every time we come here for lunch we say "we will never come here again" and we do. Until last time and we have not been back since!

I used to love this place about 5 years ago, the fries were awesome, they had several different kinds and you could get varying dipping sauces as well. The Ale Battered Fries were the best!

At one time the Fish and Chips were wonderful, but it seems they have changed their recipe or are now buying them frozen.

The burgers are eh, nothing special, pretty much everything on the menu is Ehhh, nothing special. The prices are a bit steep for what you get as well.

The service is ok, just ok, nothing special.

I have never been downstairs or had a beer so I cannot comment on that.

Before finding out the real 411 about the Raccoon Lodge, my son's mother thought this place might be a strip joint. Actually its a good place that the kids enjoy, while offering the adults a spacious and comfortable atmosphere and a decent food and bar menu. And when I asked my son what restaurant he wanted us to take him, the Raccoon Lodge was his immediate answer. His favourite item is the Hawaiian Burger (with ham and pineapple of course), of which he has described to me in great detail.

The 4 of us (Mom, Dad, Step-Mom, and Son) met here last Sunday for a family meeting. Actually, it was more of an adult discussion, as my son figured out that this meeting was all about him, and wasn't about to cooperate in what he thought was an interrogation. And although I remain disappointed with my son's school progress in some areas, it was still pretty neat to see how closely my ex and current wives were on the same page regarding the well being of my son.

I'm sure my son thought that his Hawaiian Burger was the highlight of his evening. As for Gayle and me, we had better. Her salad was smothered with dressing, when she specifically didn't order it that way. And although the waiter admitted that he screwed up, we didn't appreciate his long absences and an overall lack of attention.

As for me, I tried to show both wives that contrary to their experience, that I was capable of ordering something beyond my standard choice of a blue cheese burger. Instead, I ordered a pulled pork burrito (with mole sauce) that not only was meh, but had an aftertaste that gave me the gift of long "finish" into the evening. At least my IPA was good and my son's mother paid the tab.

Because I love my son, I'll come here again if he wants. However, after another one of his recommendations (Blue Plate) turned out much better, I have great confidence that my son will do a better future job of helping us better navigate Portland's many and diverse culinary options.

If this was a beer only, they might--- might ---receive another half a star. Some of their brew is questionable, but not nearly as befuddling as the food offerings.

At first we thought we were in for a deal when we arrived for happy hour. Only to find out that $3 for crap on a plate isn't a steal when you realize it's crap. This is an all too common problem with the Brew House mentality. They spend all the money and organic ingredients on the malt and hops, but they fall back on frozen food, gmo products, and bland flavors.

My stomach wailed in the middle of the night long after eating my appetizer portion of pork sliders. Not on my list of recommends, but I might go to the "Coon" Lodge on a day where I'm completely full and meeting a friend for a drink. And on that day it will be en route to our intended destination beyond the walls of this tricky tavern.

Oh, my friends who will eat anything really enjoyed it though. So if you regularly down Tyson Chicken wings, KFC, Taco Bell, or Red Robin you might really like this place.

This place confuses my little gray cells! It reminds me of a trap. The kind that lures you in with the music of lactic fermentation, French wine barrels, Sours, Fruit, Golden lacing spirals hypnotize...

And WHAM! They enslave you into a circus of Miller Chill, mall walking and WWF!

When sipping a masterpiece of sour fermented awesomeness, one should be surrounded by lightly clad women (& men to be fair) waving our troubles away with banana leaves and smiles. All while we're seated in a glass & cement studio on the edge of a playful & docile volcano.

Instead you get the wannabe not-a-chain, "Raccoon Lodge"... They even wear uniforms. (double take!)

We always go downstairs, because it has that 'back of the bus' vibe and it's within sight of the brewery. It's also loaded with big screens for the sports watching. Upstairs looks too civil, retirement home and GAP for my tastes. Downstairs, they don't tuck in their uniforms! "Viva La Revolucion!"

I'm not here for the food. I've had it a couple times. It's forgettable and something to do while waiting on your next beer instead of chit chat.

The same guy has been bar tending downstairs every time I've been there. He's got his sales pitch down. He's very attentive and friendly. Did I mention he's always down there? In the basement?

I love what Cascade Brewery is brewing and without that direction, this place would be a 1 star bore-fest.

I hear they are opening a tasting room in PDX this summer. It could not happen fast enough!

I have tried and tried with the Raccoon Lodge but they just can't seem to understand that you can't just treat people badly and expect them to return like loyal customers. It really irritates me to see them run their business so poorly because they have So much potential. I think the only thing that keeps the Raccoon afloat is the Soccer Mom's and Drinking Dad's dragging their rug rats to a place where they serve adult beverages for Mommy & Daddy to get tanked up with other Mommy & Daddy's while their spawn run amuck annoying everyone but their own parents.
The food here blows and good luck trying to get someone to serve it too you out on the back deck.
There's more to it but I'm not in the mood for bashing a local micro brew pub. Just think "Kid Friendly" and "Homogenized" before you choose.

Dinner here last night-YELP comments about the wings sold us on trying and we were going to take in a band at the Tilly down the street so this was an easy place to go to.

Atmosphere-definite family style-lodge look with both booths and open seating tables for big groups. Se scored a two top right by the fireplace which was nice on a chilly evening, upstairs in the dining area. Theres a "Den" downstairs at the front door. No carpeting and a large room accents the noise...you wouldn't call this intimate dining.

Our servers (plural) were very efficient-the main waitress actually asked the bartender what single malt they poured for me, when none of the bourbons I requested were available..so I have to say the bar is not well stocked...but it is a blew pub so I guess I should be happy they had anything.

Appetizer of chicken wings came out very fast, but 8 wings for $10 and change seemed a bit steep. They were, however, quite tasty but not stupendous. I'll go back for a to go order only because the only other option out here is BW3. FOTM still rules in the River City for wings.

A nicely sized side salad for $3. was a surprise but the bleu cheese dressing was fairly tasteless. From a bottle perhaps, if it's house made, they need to be a little more generous with the cheese.

My date and I split a plate of baby back ribs with mac and cole slaw and fries and that was a good thing because it was a huge serving. The ribs were excellent with a tasty sauce on them. Fall of the bone tender. This got the 4th star for what would have been a 3 star review.

The small portions of mac salad and coleslaw were perfectly sized, a good crunchy tangy aside to the fairly sweet BBQ sauce. Fries were large but seemed to be frozen french fries from Sysco.

Neither of us had the beer so no comments on that.

Attentive waitstaff for a busy Saturday night.

We'll probably go back again-the menu had a lot of standard American meals-Meat Loaf, Salmon, etc but the only vegetarian option was the ever present gardenburger and a hummus and veggie plate for lunch. This isn't a vegetarians place at all. Since I'm a 99% vegetarian, I'll take my i% with great ribs thank you.

We came here as part of our Hair of the Dog Earth Day celebrations. I had some of Raccoon Lodge's beers before coming here and was impressed. But honestly we all just wanted to pick up some more bottles on the cheap and it conveniently had food.

I am a big fan the kriek and cuvee and not so much of the blackberry or apricot. Oh wait you've never had those? Yeah I don't really know any of there other beers. They bring the Razberry Wheat out to a lot of beer events which a lot of people seem to like but I can't personally stand.

The food was pretty tasty and the service was good even though we moved tables 3 times as more people showed up. The waitress was very nice about it all.

Afterward we headed downstairs and checked out the brewery. I think it was the associate brewer we ran into and chatted with for awhile. He was cool and we had fun talking about what they had been doing and were looking to do in the future in the way of beers.

They also had there new beer out when we were there called "The Vine" which has some wine grapes added in and was absolutely awesome. I highly recommend swinging in and picking up some bottles to go.

Unique and fun restaurant!

Went here for lunch a few weeks ago and even though I didn't get a chance to enjoy their famous beer, I still had a nice meal with excellent service.

Wish I hadn't drank WAY too much the night before.

Don't believe the HYPE about their fries, they're nothing spectacular. They have creative dipping sauces but nothing compares to Potato Champion.

Still, I had a great time here with my family and will def. come back one day with friend and a stomach ready to consume large quantities of great beer.

I'd been here before and forgot to review it, and no longer remember what I ate the first time besides sweet potato fries with blackberry ketchup (which, I must add, is YUMMY omg!).

I went again with the boy and a couple friends and had the pasta putanesca. The shrimp came with the tails still attached, which I thought was odd, because the shrimp was mixed in with the pasta. If it was piled on top, sure, leave the tails.. but I was less than thrilled to have to go digging all my shrimp out to pull the tails off.

Aside from that though I was pretty pleased. The food was... yeah fine, it was not spectacular but it was still good. I really like the raspberry beer. We had good service.

But the dessert.. yes. I gave the place an extra star just for the dessert. This mango-peach-cobbler-ice cream-whipped cream concoction was TOTALLY AWESOME. I kind of hated lite the next day for eating so much, but man, it was worth it.

I don't really like beer, I'm more of a cocktails kind of gal, but the Razberry Wheat is what drew me here. I tasted this lovely beer at the barbeque and beer festival in McMinnville. I think this may be the only beer I've ever ordered for myself at a bar! And even with $3 (or $3.50?) well drinks for happy hour, I didn't hesitate! The hubs had a blueberry Belgian-style beer (he was unhappy with it - too sweet) and then had the Zomer Wit which was his fave from the McMinnville beer fest.

We ate in "the den" which is downstairs from the main restaurant. The happy hour (5-7PM) was pretty decent - $3.50 on their beers (except seasonal - boo!), specials on food, and the aforementioned well drinks special. It's cool that they serve a full menu down in the den, even during happy hour, but it seems to make the service a little slower.

I had 4 hot wings ($.50 each) and the jalapeno cream cheese-stuffed pretzel with beer cheese dipping sauce ($4.75, I think). The wings came with 2 carrot sticks (is that a Portland thing?) and 2 celery sticks and really watery blue cheese - hello, where's the cheese?? The wings were not so great. Fire on the Mountain and Buffalo Wild Wings are better. The pretzel was okay, but I really liked the beer cheese sauce! I'll have to try the tater tots or fries with that yummy sauce - or if they make a similar flavored soup, that'd be cool. The hubs had meatloaf (not on the HH menu - regular entree). I think he liked it.

We split the peanut butter mud pie for dessert. It came with whipped cream, a chocolate sauce drizzle and... cinnamon sprinkle for garnish. The cinnamon really ruined it for me. It's chocolate ice cream on a peanut butter pie... why did you need cinnamon?? It could have been a really good dessert, but that cinnamon smell really detracted from the yummy flavors of the pie. Sad.

Overall, the food was a disappointment for me, but the beer makes me a fan of the place. Also, the bartender was super nice - greeted us right away and asked if we wanted to start a tab. I didn't feel judged or condescended to, like I usually do at Portland-area bars. (Although, maybe ordering beer right off the bat helps?) I felt bad because it seemed like the bartender was taking car of the whole den area while other servers were just walking through or chit-chatting with friends. Maybe the patio was busy. The food was brought down by a couple of different servers, though.

It was a good place to escape the 100+ degree weather. We'll be back since they don't retail their Razberry Wheat elsewhere! Also, I'll maybe try the mixed drinks once berry season is over.

P.S. We saw David Wu in the parking lot when we were leaving and he smiled at me! (Hence the extra star!!)

Art Larrance, you need an email invitation list! Remind me to come here more often! Actually Art did - during BrewFest, so I went right in last Tuesday. A group of former Portland Brewing Company regulars came, too and it was a great reunion.

Chowder was great, 4 dips with the ttasty basket of Yam Fries - kept about 6 of us snacking, and we didn't finish them all. All we really needed was the 2 Habenero sauces, no one even touched the ranch & BBQ after those excellent flavors. The Pepper sauces are more tasty than hot - nd well worth trying. I enjoyed the Belgian Blone beer - really good - don't pass it by. Fresh specialty beers are on Tap, and our friend in a wheelchairs found it a breeze to join us in the lower pub area.

Restrroms were clean and spacious, and staff friendly.

Living on the East Side, I keep hearing that I've missed a re-duex of Jim Goodwin on Coronet, or Steve Bradley and Turtle Vandemaar in a guitar duel out in the back garden, with a Tent, or some other WONDERFUL happily event involving great beer. I wanna be there...so somebody make Art get a Beer-Tender or Regular do a dang List!

Newbies: Ever since his Baseball team began Brewing good Beer decades ago, and the Portland brewing Company became the Game, Art has been a central and MAJOR figure on the Microbrewery scene, really making things happen.

Since he's deeply involved in Coaching the Biz aspect of things, you might not otherwise meet him. Except at his biggest event - the late-July Annual Oregon Brewers Festival, you'll be able to wave him over for a fast hug as he makes his rounds to ensure everything is flowing smoothly. The massive Beer Fest is probably Art's greatest contribution to the Brewery Industry - everywhere. Teddy Peetz and Chris Crab are key people on the team that make the fest happen.

Art knows it already. He is BeerVana's King Gambrinus.
And he's built a truly be-ya-yoo-tiful, spacious, and impressive log cabin near the forested hills, in which you can enjoy good food and FRESH grog. I was won over before they opened -when I saw that he'd gone to the trouble to find Trillium to plant ion the garden. Pretty dang ambitious...truly Oregon - and the place works. Book dinner.

Now, about the email A-list??? pdx.Jules@yahoo.com !!

I agree with Michael, the food here blows. I like corporate food better than this place, and that's saying quite a lot (I loathe homogenized food).

The beer is alright (hence the 2 stars), but the ambiance is also lacking. It looks and feels the same as your general corporate brew-pub feels (think Gordon Biersch, BJ's, etc). If you are small and local, add some local FLAVA!! They do have a decent porch, also adding to the second star on this rating.

I rarely recommend corporate food, but if you want decent beer AND decent food, and you REALLY like this kind of atmosphere, you are better off driving downtown and going to Rock Bottom, or driving a little south from Raccoon and hitting up the RAM.

The decor is a bit cheesy, but they brew their own beer (quite tasty I must say) and serve up some good food. The raspberry wheat is very good, and the regular weeknight bartender serves up a mean dirty martini. Nothing like hearing the chink, chink, chink of the shaker and know you are going to get a good martini, right? The sweet potato fries are really good, and they have a good garden burger. Other than that they aren't very vegetarian friendly, but they are always happy to modify dishes to make them meat free. The service is almost always great, and the wait staff is super friendly. They also have great happy hour deals.

PS. Monday is kids eat free (not eat free kids... that was an embarrassing evening) & they used to have a magician from 7-9 Friday nights, but I'm not sure they still do that.

This restaurant was highly recommended to me and after stopping by with my date one evening for a beer and some buffalo chicken strips I was impressed. The place definitely has a rustic, lodgey-type feel to the decor. Probably a romantic setting for the chronically "outdoorsy" type (PS. If you are opposed to hunting you may be offended by some of the decor).

The wait staff was friendly, and the amiable, helpful waitress recommended some of their unique and yummy beer on tap. I tried a seasonal winter brew that was not only full-flavored, but so strong that only one left me with double vision and giggling my way to the car. The side salad I had was a little weak, but I am not too dismayed about that as I don't think they specialize in side salads here. It's a fun atmosphere for large groups and even to bring the family, as they have a kids menu. A lasting memory I had there was a slightly frazzled mother stating to her 8-10 year-old son, "You do NOT lay on the floor in a restaurant. Are you kidding? Are you KIDDING ME?" Ahhh...the ties that bind, and the joy of family dining. *sigh*
