Recovery Room

Some of the cheapest and strongest drinks you'll find on Franklin Street - especially for $1 drinks on Monday nights. (Also, why boyfriend loves this place.) They have two pong tables and it's good for those nights when you want to avoid the craziness of Topo. And try the loaded fries - they're absolutely great for drunk munchies. Oh and all the bartenders are pretty cool too - especially Rob.

Some of the best late night food you will get in Chapel Hill, but also a nice place to gets some wings and watch the game with Mom and Dad.  

Menu is always being updated so you can try something new every visit, and keeps food items fresh as can be.  

Excellent bourbon selection with great specials.  It's a very sexy bar and it makes for a perfect place to grab a drink with a friend to catch up, or prime for your night on the town.  I suggest starting your night here.  Get sloppy at some of the other locations in Chapel Hill.

$2 tall PBR cans is going to earn you at least three stars.

This place has been a variety of different restaurant/bar iterations through the years, and Recovery Room has stuck around for awhile. The location is good (right off of Franklin Street), although parking is always terrible around Chapel Hill. The bar itself has cool lighting and decor, the seating available is generally booths and a few stools at the bar. There were two or three large TVs above the bar.

On a relaxed Saturday night, the crowd picked up around 11:30, although the bar was never packed. They played a Cranberries-tastic music mix of alternative 90s rock that totally vibed with the crowd and feel.

The drinks were a little expensive for what you'd get, so everyone in the entire bar was drinking cans of PBR. It's a good stop on a tour of the bar scene in CH.
