  I can't seem to make up my mind about this place. It's really hit or miss - sometimes it's a blast, and sometimes you just want to leave.
  
  The music is decent, the pool tables are horribly placed right in front of the bathroom doors, it gets unbearably crowded after 10pm, and the beer pong tables are nearly impossible to score for your group of friends.
  
  What can I say? It's a Region bar.

  Ahh, "The Region." This little area of Northwest Indiana that can't seem to get an identity of its own. The population of this area definitely has a personality complex. They've never watched Indiana television or were fans of Indiana sports (until the 2006 Colts win) and claim "Chicago" anywhere they go outside their counties. However, they still have camo somewhere in their wardrobes and they have at least one uncle with a mullet.
  
  Clubs like The Registry are a perfect example of the "regional confusion.'
  
  Thank God I was already slightly intoxicated when my friends dragged me here, and an even bigger thanks for the ridiculously low priced drinks and shots, which caused me to stay.
  
  Times Fergie was heard and every girl in the place threw up their arms in excitement: 4?
  
  Number of 50-plus old men scanning the crowd for previously mentioned Fergie-loving-just-turned 21-year-olds: 10 or more.
  
  Number of Cowboy hats spotted: 2 (2 more than should be worn to a place that doesn't have line dancing).
  
  Number of girls with engagement rings that my friends hooked up with: 1 (she provided some wonderful eye-rolling entertainment about how she kicked some girl's ass over stolen eyeliner. You go girl...)
  
  So why two stars instead of one?
  ~I would have probably have liked this place if I had just turned 21 and was still living in The Region, but only with a giant group of friends, and if I was already inebriated.
  ~It's huge, plenty of room to move around.
  ~ Weeeeee, Indiana liquor prices.
  ~Leave early enough and you can go to White Castles or Taco Bell.
