We have been twice. First time was with the kids on a Sunday early afternoon. Place was not busy at all. Lane approach had dried spilled juice. No food was available until after 4pm. We bowled and had beverages and a good time. Second time was a Saturday night at 6pm with adults. The place was packed. Mostly big groups of kids parties. We arrived to our lanes and the table was covered with empty plates and cups and the large group of people were in the lounge area by our lanes..hard to get through. also spilled beverages in our area. We had drinks and food(it was good) and a fun time. Prices seem fare. I have mentioned to friends and co-workers that it is a good time.
Review Source:It was ok - I went here for my 30th birthday party and we reserved 2 lanes. Â First, we were about 5 minutes late and when we got there they still had another party on our lane so we had to wait for them to be moved. Â Once we started bowling (about 20 minutes later than our reservation) they came over to tell us that we would get a 20 minute extension on the end which was very nice. Â The service was very slow and the waitress that brought our drinks seemed very overwhelmed. Â At a place like this you expect a waitress that will remember who was drinking what and we should never have an empty glass and have to go to the bar to get the drink. Â The atmosphere was ok but the music wasn't very good. Â All dance music and none of the fun party music I was hoping for. Â It was ok but no DJ in sight to be able to request something different. Â The biggest complaint I had was that they took my $50 reservation and then waited for everyone to pay for themselves before reminding me of this credit. Â Since everyone had already paid we had to go to the bar for a few drinks to spend the rest of the credit which sucked for me since it was my birthday and my friends wanted to pay for me but this complicated it. Â It was annoying and they made more than the $50 off my group and I feel they should have credited me back since I assumed the card was just to hold the lanes.
Also, they need to do a better job getting people into the lounge area. Â They did not have ANYONE just hanging out which made it feel just like a fancy bowling alley rather than the "lounge" atmosphere that they claim. Â
All in all it has potential but I am in no hurry to go back.
So last night we began our guys-night-out with my first visit to Revolutions.  Within a few seconds of entering we were quite impressed with the upscale atmosphere.  Its a great looking space with comfortable leather couches and giant TV screens.  Revolutions is new, so bowling balls and shoe rentals are in excellent shape.  I am certainly not a pro, but I found the lanes to be very nice, as to be expected with a new place.  Bowling was reasonably priced but $11 for a Bud Light  pitcher is a bit steep in my opinion.  They had Samuel Adams on tap but we were told that it could not be sold by the pitcher.  Very odd. Â
We found the waitstaff to be somewhat disappointing. Â They seemed to be shorthanded and somewhat inattentive. Â Perhaps we caught them on an off night. Â I did not try the apps since we had dinner plans elsewhere, but the party next to our lane had nothing but good things to say about the food, which looked very good. Â I will definitely be back to try the food and hopefully the service will have improved. Â In short the place has a lot to like but it is not in the class of High Rollers at Foxwoods.
The only way that the atmosphere at this location could have been any better is if they had strippers which is sort of what i thought they would have with everything else going on. Â It was a little difficult to get in as a walk in, I guess they have a lot of reservations. Â There are couches to sit on, a lounge area, for food and drinks behind that and 4-5 big screen tv's showing games and what not on the screens for the lanes that the games are not happening on. Â The ball racks were built into the end and coffee tables which was a nice touch but i felt like there wasn't enough room on the ball return rack to accommodate two lanes with 4-5 players on each lane. Â Parking area is a little odd, seems like whenever you go there is a walk to the building. Â There are some pool table areas too but they don't look like they are set up yet.
Review Source:I had high expectations going into our evening at Revolutions. The inside of the venue looked very nice and I had hear a lot about the place so I was excited one of my friend's was having a party there.
These expectations failed quickly. Our reservation was for an 8-10 slot, in which we arrived an hour early to have a beverage while waiting for our lane. We walked over to our lane at 7:55 and waited, and waited some more until asking the front desk about how they enforce the reservations. We were told that someone would be going over to the group and tell them to leave. We then waited, again, for some time until finally getting on our lane at 8:30 (half hour late).
At 10PM our lane shut off, a half hour short of our two hour reservation given the time we were finally able to start bowling. The manager came over after we complained and told us we would get an extra half hour. The lane didn't light up again nor did the screens come on for at least 10 minutes. The "bouncer", for lack of a better term, came over to us a few minutes later and told us we had to leave. We explained to him that the manager was allowing us more time given we started late, but he didn't care and told us that our games were done (The funny thing was that he actually was the one who ushered us to our lane after the original delay...guess his memory faltered).
This review is based solely on the customer service and experience of the usage of the bowling portion of the business, which I believe is the most important part. We had pizza and the garlic bread from the menu to snack on, which weren't terrible but nothing special (similiar to a store-brand frozen pizza).
To put it short, there was nothing redeemable about the experience to ever consider going back, let alone recommending it to another to check out.
Why aren't more people yelping about this place?!  After hearing all of the buzz I decided to try this place out for myself to celebrate my 27th birthday.  I Reserved 3 lanes (I wasn't expecting a bunch of people to come but turns out over  20 people showed up making me wish I reserved 4) Let's start from the beginning.
$50 to reserve the lanes (not $50 each) and once I got there they allowed me to use the $50 to pay for myself and one other person to bowl ($20 for 2 hours of unlimited bowling and shoe rental) then put the $10 extra towards food and drinks (nice little surprise!) Â
Food was EXCELLENT!!! I ordered Revolutions Wings and BBQ Fries! Â The fries had BBQ seasoning on it not sauce but they were so good!!!! Â And the price of the food was not expensive at all. Â I got about 8 wings in total and a nice size plate of yummy BBQ fries.
Decor made me feel like I was in NYC. Â Huge TV's to cover the back wall at the end of the bowling lanes plus club VIP couches for the bowlers to sit. Â Also who ever came up with the idea to have shelves under the tables for people to put their shoes is a genius! Â Now if only there were some place to hang our coats........Then behind the actual lanes are little lounge areas for people waiting to bowl to sit and the bar is in a separate area with seating and lots of TV's there as well. Â Music was house music which always puts me in a good mood! Â We went after 10 pm but before 10pm it was more like Pop and R&B music.
If you are going with a party of more than 10 people I would suggest going to get your shoes at least 30 minutes before your reservation. Â When we first came the counter was completely empty but by the time I went to get shoe rentals it was congested and a bit confusing. Â Also, if you are going with a large party make sure everyone that is bowling is there on time and set up who will be in which lane to make things quicker once your reservation starts.
I had a great time and so did everyone that came with me. Â The place was crowded but it didn't feel like people were breathing down my neck. Â I will absolutely be back!
Some suggestions for the owner: (if they read these reviews)
There should be a 15-30 minute break in between reservations that way parties won't have to stop 20 minutes before their 2 hours are over to make room for the next group. Â Also, that will give the waitstaff a chance to clean up the tables.
When people first come in they should be told which lanes they have reserved (I had no idea which lane my party and I were supposed to go to)
It would be helpful if the amount of time each party had left would flash across the screen during the game. Â I was having way too much fun to keep an eye on the time. Â Or perhaps you can put the person who reserved the lanes name on the screens where they will be playing.
I had an amazing time and so did everyone I was with. Â I will definitely be back!

I had a party of 20, they made it easy. Â We got everyone in shoes, on the lanes in minutes. Â Bowling was quick. Â Food and beer came quickly too. Â Waitresses...awesome.
Also, the food, was great. Â This is not your standard bowling food. Â Nice job bringing something different to the area.
