This is not an "order at the counter" kind of place. Â This is sit-down, and they take your order. Â No back-lit pictures of the menu items. Â No standard cookie-cutter red/green menu. Â They had custom nicely printed menu with the clear plastic cover. Â Menu is very close to the Rice Cooker in Zionsville (same owners/family.)
Very clean and well-decorated. Â Drinks served in glass tumblers, stainless steel utensils, real dishes/plates/bowls, they check on you for drink refills, bring the check to the table. Â
A little pricier than the walk-up-and-order-at-the-counter places, but better food, better ambience, better service, and cleaner. Â Clean and well-appointed men's room with tiled walls and nice sink/faucet.
Menu consists of the Chinese standard stuff, with noodles, rice, and either beef, shrimp or chicken.
You get fried won-ton noodles served up front, like tortilla chips at a Mexican restaurant.
They have a few Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese dishes (noodle bowls). Â But not enough where I thought it would justify adding Japanese/Korean/Vietnamese to the restaurant category.
I had one of the noodle bowls (comes with your choice of meat), but I don't know how to judge if it was authentic or not, but I liked it, and thought it worth the price.
Located on the NW corner of West 86th and Township Line Road, between Kroger and Kazan. Â They do have take-out, but not delivery.
