Robin Hood British Pub

We drove over an hour to try this place at a friend's recommendation.  Upon entering it felt cozy.  The decor was okay.  There are 2 sections, the bar area in the front when you walk in and a dining area in the back.  We opted for the dining room because it was quieter and there was only one other family in there.  I'll begin by saying the fish was good and the Thai Curry Seafood soup was really, really good.  The ambiance was nice, especially after someone dimmed the lights.  Eric, our server was very nice and met all of our needs.  I would have rated this restaurant 4-stars had it not been for Lana.  Lana was an employee, possibly on a break -I don't know, or possibly just didn't have enough to do.   Either way, she is representing the company and made a very poor impression.  Lana was oblivious to the fact that there were other paying guests in the dining room, who were trying to enjoy their dinner; guests that had just driven over an hour to try this place. From the moment we sat down at our table, Lana, with her LOUD, screechy and VERY abrasive voice engaged in a LOUD conversation with the only other family in the room.  She even dropped the word "shit"  a couple of times.  She sat down at the table with them (as if she may have known them) and proceeded to transform the serene restaurant atmosphere to something similar to a Chuck E. Cheese. I feel this behavior is completely acceptable in the bar area, but we we in the DINING ROOM.   Rather than stay for after dinner drinks, we got up to find Eric so we could settle our bill.  I offered our concerns to Eric and then to the bartender in charge.  One employee tried to justify her behavior with something about her having a really good heart and liking animals.  I stared at him and pointed out that it had nothing to do with her job or our dining experience.  In the spirit of good customer service, no compensation was offered...except the bartender offer me a drink that I cold enjoy in the crowded bar area (keeping in mind, I could still hear Lana carrying on from the other room.  I can say with 100% certainty that I will NOT return to this establishment and I will NOT recommend it to anyone.  If you decide to visit this restaurant, I highly  recommend calling ahead to make sure Lana is not working.

Great Fish & Chips

I came here a few times for drinks and appetizers. Overall it is pretty good The mini burgers good. They also have Guiness on tap.
