So I had no choice but to come back. It's so close and I am a big fan of supporting the businesses in my neighborhood.
It seems that the owner has mellowed. Or maybe I have. Â I must say though they have the nicest, sweetest, loveliest bartenders ever. Â The ladies I am referring to. Just lovely.
If you are in the neighborhood and are looking for a bar to frequent it's dark, small, and well I like it. Â People keep to themselves for the most part. Â Same people are in there daily. Â If you want to be bothered well I am sure you can find someone to chit chat with.
They have a dart board, plenty of tvs, and a juke box that I love to play my music on. Â And if you are ever in the mood for food Joe Peeps and Harvest Moon are a hop and a skip away,
Cozy that is the word I was looking for it's a cozy bar for me.
One more thing they have karoake Wednesday and Sunday nights. Â I prefer Sunday nights I like the dj's better and it's a fun Sunday crowd. But it does get packed pretty fast. Come early if you want to get your song in.
Cheers!
Love this place. Ingredients for a perfect dive bar: Cheap drinks + cool bartender with a generous pour + killer jukebox and/or darts + low-key loungey type vibe minus old man musk minus the "look-at-me-I-found-a-oh-so cool-hole-in-wall- bar" hipster. CHECK, CHECK, and CHECK. Karaoke on Wednesdays and Sundays (but don't quote me on that) led by some dude in what looked like a priest get-up (hopefully it was just his schtick and not a real man of the cloth!) Close to home goodness if you live in the area period.
Oh yeah, enter through the backdoor, not the door on the street. Confused me once...or twice
