    The ambience is nice.

I wasn't sold on my burrito, but everyone else really enjoyed their meals.  My husband got the Denver burrito and highly recommends it.

Our server was great.  He was very attentive.

I hesitated. I waited. I came back THREE times. Because I feel like giving extra chances lately, I waited until now to write a review.
Last two times I went to Casa Vega, spending a total of $161.55, I had trouble getting seated for the privilege of dropping cash there. The first time seating issues happened, my girlfriend and I said we were waiting for two more ladies, which was true. We were soon escorted to a booth in the bar. It was 6 on a Wednesday. Our friends hadn't arrived by 6:15, and someone else asked us to stand up and move to the bar. We watched, horrified, while no one took our places. Our friends arrived, and we were allowed to sit back down. "Whole party has to be present to be seated!" Is this mf Applebee's? Cuz ... You just seated us, knowing full well our party wasn't here yet, and making us do the Hokey Pokey isn't classy. No customers were THERE!

Last night, a far worse situation. We came and experienced what I consider, as a former front-of-the-house manager for a total of 4 years, to be just tactless management, and a hostess who was either afraid or too untrained to stand up to the manager for the sake of customer retention and happiness. We were told there would be a 25-30-minute wait, but we could wait IN THE BAR. We were given those vibrating coasters. We were number 23.

I figured our instructions meant that we didn't have to wait AT the bar, but sit at a table IN the bar, because our whole party was there. Because the bar was two-to-three people deep, we took a seat. We didn't mind sitting at a crappy bar table instead of in the dining room. The woman who turned out to be the manager sternly told us to move. Frustrated, we moved to the bar so we could at least get a margarita and chips. Bartender served us within 3 minutes but forgot chips. Thirty minutes passed. No seat. Bartender was gracious.

Two men left and gave us their coaster: #21. They said they had been waiting 45 minutes. There WERE EMPTY TABLES in the bar. Four-tops, granted, but do you want to serve NO ONE, or someone? It's like a hotel - get cash for the place and people, or get no cash? Freaking DUH.

Another two-top sits down: Barry and Larry. They had coaster #1. They were seated within FIVE MINUTES.

Our coaster (number 23!!!?? Not 21???) goes off shortly thereafter. I go to the hostess stand to get our table because no one came to get us. No apologies of course. Manager is up there, but I didn't know she was the manager yet. APPARENTLY THERE ARE TWO NUMBER 23s. SHE SEATS THE ONE WHO ARRIVED FIRST - ANOTHER TWO-TOP. I say something. OH, YES. I COMPLAINED AND EXPLAINED ABOUT BARRY AND LARRY, AND ABOUT how COASTER 21 hadn't even gone off yet. The woman has the ovaries to chide me for having two coasters. I yelled, "this is NOT FAIR!"

My co-diner wouldn't leave Casa Vega. She calmed me about how we would eat soon. We did get seated. By then, the manager had migrated to the dining room. She was ROLLING SILVERWARE, NOT CIRCULATING, and I asked her if she was the manager. She proudly said she was. I told her, "well, you're not doing a very good job."

Thankfully we got a great server who had been there since 1989, but I think the food was shite. Lobster quesadilla for $14.95? Bland-ass chile verde burrito for like $10.95 and another $1.50 for putting it in the oven!

Manager never came over to see how we were. Just a horrendous experience. I am never, ever going back and I hope someone at the facility reads this, emails me, and pays me back for the $50 I spent on the hellhole.

I really wanted to thank my friend for helping me pack by taking her to Loteria, but she isn't a fan, so luckily she was two sheets to the wind, or I would have grabbed her by the ear and taken her just about anywhere else. My god, this place's kitch is just no valia.

I always enjoy coming here. The food is always delicious and the portions huge! I also love their chips & salsa so much I've often considered just coming, ordering a drink, and then making those my meal.

The fact that they're open late is also another perk!

My only complaint is that the place is often quite loud. I wish they would put something on the walls that would help dampen the room.
