Pat's Cocktail Lounge

Pat's is what it is. 60 feet of bar top and 3 pool tables..  And that's what is great about it. This isn't a Friday's.. there will be no smiling college server named Brad offering you a frosty adult beverage.  To the people putting this place down, pull the stick out of your behind and drink with the regular folk.  Pat's is a BAR, a real BAR...  My friends and I go for two reasons... a round of drinks for 6 will run ya $30 and cheap pool tables....  I love Pat's

Came here a few times to shoot pool during the day.  The bartenders were really nice, but the customers and other visitors were a total nightmare.  One creepy ex-con looking dude with no awareness of personal space repeatedly interrupted my pool game to make worthless small talk, all leading up to wanting to borrow my cell phone.  When I declined, he immediately left the bar in search of the next sucker, apparently.

Meanwhile, a roadie was setting up gear for live karaoke.  Right next to our pool table, game in progress, and his gear was increasingly encroaching on the table.  First he moves the hockey arcade game so that it's between two pool tables and in our way for some of the shots, so we moved it a little further.  Then he parked his dolly with gear on it right up against the table.  Getting sick of this sh*t, we wrapped up our game and moved on to the next table over, away from the band area.  And he then starts parking his gear next to that one!  The pool tables weren't even level and we were disgusted with dealing with these creeps so we just bailed at that point.

The jukebox is also a nightmare to deal with.  Never coming back.

I'm a pool shooter and went here for some tournaments.  Unfortunately, the person running these tournaments doesn't know what she is doing. Or alternatively she does know what she is doing, which means she would not be very scrupulous. I would prefer to believe the previous.

This tournament is double elimination. This tournament operator has no board and has you randomly draw numbers for your position. However, she then turns around and makes brackets up the way she wants (in her head). Some might say this benefits her friends. Then she randomly mixes up the winners bracket and loser bracket. Again, some people might claim that this benefits her friends. Next, they have people that have already played several matches, playing someone that has only played one match. This is incorrect. either you have a board that shows there are byes or people in the same round of the tournament have played the same number of games. There were no byes. Also, if you have a winners bracket and a loser bracket, the winner of the winner's bracket plays for 1st place against the winner of the loser's bracket.

When I let them know that the tournament is being run unfairly, she said "Why don't you run it from now on." or "We'll run it the way we want to run it.". Really? You would want to run the tournament the way you want to run it instead of the fair and proper way?

This is a buyer beware tournament.  

Pat's lost many customers because of the person running their tournaments.
