Great food, great service at reasonable prices. My fourth time here and I'm glad that they opened in Orland Park. We need more of this and less of the fast food concepts. The sausage and peppers is a meal in itself . Great!

The food was excellent!  Chicken Caprese  and the Stuffed Pork Chops were both cooked perfectly - very flavorful tender and moist.  It was our first time here and we will be back!

Been awhile since I have been here. Stopped in on a Saturday night without a reservation. The place was packed and about a 45 minute wait, I found a place at the bar and was ok with waiting. The bartender was on his game and served up my dirty right away. He asked if we wanted to eat at the bar but I was willing to wait. The bar is tiny, needs to be expanded a bit. They have carry out area I say expand the bar and you can still have carry out and more room for people waiting. For dinner I had Chef Martino Veal, oh was this delicious every bite was a good as the last. Artichoke, carrot, zucchini and onion in wine sauce, yum! I did order another martini and our server had to put on his ballerina shoes as not to spill the full to the rim drink, he did it. Consistently good and nice atmosphere. this is a favorite.

My family and I went to this restaurant for our annual fall get together for birthdays. Loud table next to us we were put in the back area since their were 7 of us, which was not a complaint! Nice to sit next to a lively liquored up group, entertaining! Our waitress could not get the order correct nor was it served in a timely fashion. My son had a bug in his salad told the waitress and all she said was would you rather have soup? Seemed a bit inappropriate. I left a complaint on the back of the card you can use and never did a manager call or even take the salad price off the bill. Won't go ever again! If they can't wash the lettuce correctly don't know what else they are doing in that kitchen!

I went for dinner here last night and was very disappointed. We were seated the busboy brought water and bread to the table immediately upon our arrival. However after about 8 minutes of watching a waitress check the tables in front and behind my booth I finally stopped her and asked her if we had a server. She replied I guess I can take your order. The restaurant was only about 15 percent full. I felt sorry I should be a burden to expect someone to have trait on us. I thought that was their job. The food was ok nothing great prices were reasonable. Ordered coffee and a cappuccino at the end of the meal. Coffee was warm and old cappuccino was horrible. Never Seen anyone who looked remotely like a manager on the floor checking the restaurant. Upon leaving the bartender maybe he was the manager yelled how was everything. I would have complained but he had a full bar and did not want to embarrass him. What a shame this restaurant is very close to my house I will not go back..

Great place! Came here to celebrate a birthday. We had reservations and we were seated promptly. Service was great and attentive even for a busy Friday evening. The menu had many choices and the wine list was great.

The atmosphere was okay...nothing too special about how the place looked.

First this place has amazing tasting appetizers and dessert!! I was blown away! We had some stuffed mushrooms, ravioli, and another appetizer.

For dinner we all ordered different plates. I had a taste of the Chicken Marsala & Chicken Parm....both big portions and tasty...we had leftovers of course!

Then dessert came around...oh man we ordered sorbet and I ordered this coffee/caramel cup pastry...OH MY GOODNESS!! It was like heaven for a coffee lover like me! This dessert made my night!

Overall I really enjoyed dinner/drinks here...Italian food is not my favorite but I really like some of the menu choices that were really "trendy".

Went there for lunch with a gift certificate.  I thought the food was awesome.  I've only had Bruschetta a few times in my life, but theirs was great.  The soup was just a little bland for my taste.  But the Chicken Parmigiana was delish.  The service was awesome and they checked on us often, giving us fresh bread when needed.  We took deserts home and they too were awesome, and they also gave me extra bread in my doggie bag.  Will definitely visit them again, I would love to try the Pizza.

Took my daughter here for a kids night out. We were seated and the buss boy came over and gave us water and bread. We were looking at the menus and waiting to place a drink order etc ...

Buss boy came back and refilled our water. And we waited, waited, waited some more etc, etc, etc ...

The place was only about 20% full (if that) but there was plenty of wait staff. I know this because each of them walked by us at least 3 times.

We sat for nearly 25 minutes with our menus at the edge of the table desperately waiting to place an order.

No one ever gave any indication that they even noticed our existence. Really offensive.

Dad and his daughter who live within walking distance totally alienated in one shot ...  Nice job staff !!!

We left and said goodbye to the hostess and walked a block over to the less sophisticated Beggars Pizza where we were seated promptly and served with a smile. The food was good too !!   BONUS !!!

The food at Rocco Vinos might be good, and it might not be ..   I will never know ....

I have been here 3 more times since my last review. Yes, It's that good! I have have the shrimp pasta and the rigatoni in vodka sauce. But on my last visit I had the veal boscaiola. I haven't eaten veal outside of my mothers house in more than 20 years. But when I heard my friend raving about it the last time we were here I had to try it. And it did not dissapoint. Three madallions in a light sauce with onions, aparagus, mushrooms and artichoke. Concentration! My friend was talking and I didn't hear a word of what was said? They are still the best martini on the southside and it makes the experience much more enjoyable.

    Edit: Re-Review
I was solicited to try Roccovino's a second time, by the management (this played no part in my amended review), and this is one of the few times that I am glad I did.  The wife and I came by our lonesome this time so I can only base the redo on two meals.  The staff was very friendly and attentive.  The food was leaps and bounds better than it was before.  I'm going to chalk the first visit up to a new cook or just bad luck on the kitchen.  This time we ordered off the chef special menu that comes out adjacent to the real menu.  I got the steak risotto and the the wife got chicken something or other.  Instead of soup I opted for a side of penne with meat sauce because I was torn between wanting something basic or something fancy.  It was good, it had a good consistency and a very nice flavor.  The over all meals were very good as well.  I was seriously taken a back compared to last time.  The last time there was no flavor on anything and this time each bite was something to savor.  I have never had risotto before so that was a new thing for me, didn't really get me going, by itself it was like a creamy rice with not much else.  Meh.  But eaten with the rest of my dish it was a very good addition, texturally and even flavor wise it added something.  The steak risotto was good, but it was out of my Italian food comfort zone.  It was more like an Italian stir fry than a traditional meal.  But I say that in a good way, I ate so much of it I couldn't even think of getting desert.  The wifes meal was chicken breasts with spinach and other vegetables and some kind of sauce.  I really wish I could remember what it was called because it was really good.  This was the experience I was expecting.  Let's just hope that the first visit was growing pains of a new restaurant.  I will be back again to validate my new findings and figure out which date was a fluke.  But this experience was good enough for me to bump it to 4 stars.  So we will have to wait and see what happens...

I wanted so bad for this place to be great...but it wasn't.  I heard rave reviews from family and friends and was excited to eat here.  But it was probably one of the worst experiences I have had in a while.  The server was very inattentive and many times we were upwards near 10 min without a drink.  There were seven of us so we had a decent group and were prepared for some delay from the kitchen.  But by the time we ordered the restaurant was mostly empty and we still had huge lead time on our food.  That brings me to the next thing; the food.  It was the blandest Italian food I have ever had.  I had the veal parm and it was boring, barely any sauce on the veal it self and the side of pasta was mediocre at best.  My wife got pasta with the tomato basil sauce.  It was terrible.  It was reminiscent of spaghetti-o's with less flavor.  But probably the most egregious flaw was with an order of pasta with oil and garlic.  When ordered shrimp was added and broccoli requested to be added to the pasta.  It came out with 3 shrimp and no broccoli.  It tasted like plain noodles and had no flavor.  The three shrimp were insulting.  And when the waiter finally came by again for us to ask about the broccoli, everybody else was already half way through their meal.  The waiter came back with a side of broccoli that had garlic and a lemon butter on it which was probably the best thing we ate.

We had desert, and that wasn't as bad.  The tiramisu was alright, but entirely too wet.  The cannoli was tasty, but nothing special.

All in all not worth it.

To be fair, this review is for the taste of Orland. I ordered the baked clams and the chicken caprese. The clams were slighly tough, which is the nature of clams. The taste was very good and I would definitely order again. Now, let me say I absolutely do not like chicken breast. So what inspired me to order chicken caprese I don't know. Maybe the 4$ price tag? But I  loved it. The chicken was tender, juicy, stuffing complemented perfectly, and sauce was the icing on the cake. If they could make me like chicken breast, they must be doing something right. I will definitely frequent their restaurant.

Our third time back, loved it, yes we all know it's not a prime location, maybe a bit noisy, but then, we come for the service and food.
The only thing I can say negative for the cooks is go easy on the salt, let the natural flavor of spices bring out flavor, no need to over salt for flavor, that why we salt and pepper shakers at table side!
Otherwise we don't mind the strip mall location.
Clean, good food with good pricing.
    We will be back

My husband and I had dinner there last night. I thought the restaurant was nicely decorated and the service was good, but the food was not good. We started with the $16.00 octopus, squid and shrimp appetizer. The octopus was so salty it was unedible. We sent it back and manager came out and apologized saying he told the cook to rinse it more. Strike one. Next was the soup. I ordered the beef vegetable and my husband had the minestrone. The soups looked identical except my soup had two small pieces of beef in it.  My husband's had no beef but two kidney beans instead. Both soups tasted like chicken broth rather than tomato or beef. We did not send them back. Strike two. Next was the main course. My husband had the Veal ala Vince which was ok, but my veal was so sweet I couldn't eat it. I don't remember the name of it but the menu described it as having a citrus sauce. I love veal but have never seen any veal dish with a sweet sauce. Strike three. All in all we spent $100.00 for a very bad meal.

Really enjoyed the food here.   I ordered the pasta--something al forno-it's with spinach and artichokes and it was delicous. We had a group of 9 and all the dishes looked really wonderful.
There is room for improvement overall however. For example, our group of 9 had 2 menues for the first 10 minutes. We asked for more menus and were told they were trying to accomodate us. Same thing with the dessert menus. Kind of weird--it's a restaurant and they don't have enough menus? Same thing with bringing bread to the table--for a while we had one small basket at one end of the table for the group.  These are all technicalities I'm sure they can work out in time. The food was great
and I would go back again in a minute.

Went there tonight with a party of 9, with a reservation.   I was early, but our table was ready, so I sat there and sipped a French martini - which was fabulous - and checked the place out.    It is in a strip mall, and is much bigger on the inside, than appears from the outside.   Bar area was small, maybe could seat 7-8 people.  Very brightly lit inside, and loud.

Everyone in my party ordered drinks - martinis, wine, mai-tais - all made very well.   They bread was plentiful, so much so, that no one order an appetizer.    Soup or Salad came with each meal - and it just seemed like it would be too much food.

I had the Zuppa Di Pesce - and it was fab-u-lous!   There was a ton of seafood in in, and all of it cooked to perfection.   The portion was huge and I took home more than 1/2.   All 9 of the party had something different off the menu, and everyone liked their food.   Portions are huge - prices are great - staff is friendly.

I would absolutely eat dinner here again.

My wife and I tried this place last night and we weren't totally disappointed, it was so-so. Much of the decor remained the same as when it was Palermo's, even the old sauce spatters on the west wall with the same mural. The lighting is very bright for a restaurant, like spotlights are on you as you eat. As for the food, I got the veal parmesan. I try that at every Italian place I go to and it wasn't that good. It's not pounded thin as I personally like it, and the cheese was hard and thin as if it were on an overcooked pizza. The portion is also smaller in comparison to others. They also don't provide you a spoon to twirl your pasta on, which was interesting for an Italian restaurant. My wife got the chicken risotto which was a bit bland, but not terrible. The brushetta was excellent, really enjoyed that. We were pretty excited that a new place opened up so close to us, but we were a little disappointed. We may give it another try though.

It was our first time at Rocco's and I won't be returning.  After ordering my entree I was quite disappointed when it came out.  I ordered the Chicken Caprese and it was heavy with a thick creamy sauce.  I took one bite and was underwhelmed by the lack of flavor and the sauce was not good at all.  I was expecting it to be more fresh with tomatoes and a light sauce as it described on the menu.  After about ten minutes our server finally checked on us and I let him know I wasn't pleased, he only offered to wrap it up.  He didn't ask if I wanted anything else. He also promised to bring me water and never returned. I was really disappointed since I am a server myself.  Finally when we asked for the bill he asked me if I wanted marinara sauce to go with it... The problem was the lack luster flavor and the over abundance of sauce... I told him I wouldn't be eating the dish at all. He didn't seem to care.  Maybe if he told us about some of the dishes or tried to be more attentive I wouldn't be so turned off by the entire experience.  I was surprised too because it seemed as though we were his only table seeing there were only 4 tables in the entire establishment.  Overall I found the service to be poor and the food to be oily and nothing special.

Loved the place!  We started with a cocktail each and the spicy Calamari Diavola!  This was SO good we nearly slapped the server's hand when he attempted to remove the plate!  Hello, a few pieces of the crunchy coating remain on the plate...which I arm-wrestled my friend over!  ;)  I had the soup du jour, a flavorful "spinach egg drop," so crazy good, I think this should be a regular menu item, I could've eaten a bowl of that for dinner...my friend had a cup of the minestrone, which he lived.  Moving onto entrees, my friend had the Tortellini Veneto (stuffed with prosciutto) in a creamy tomato sauce, excellent!  I chose the Salmon Tarragon, which was tasty, but a bit too overpowering on the tarragon.  I must say, as soon as my friend mentioned this to the server, the manager came over (much to my horror, TYVM!) and offered to prepare a new dish, which I declined.  Since I was already full from the app and soup, they packed up more of the sauce for me to use with the leftovers to "balance out" the tarragon.  The service was outstanding and I will return!  I was happy to discover they have a location near my office on the north side!
