I came here with the girlfriend the other weekend. It was her best friend's birthday and there was about 12 of that came here for the big day. The actual place is kind of just "meh". There's not too much to be impressed by inside. There's a bar on one side and then just a bunch of tables and chairs. There are 2 pool tables which seems a bit ridiculous considering how big the place is. There should be at least 4.
We came here to check out The Beatles cover band The Fab Five. They were awesome and if they played there every night, I would bump this review up to 4 stars. Here are the bad things about the venue/bar. The drinks are weak as hell. They aren't cheap and I could barely taste the vodka in my vodka presses. The second bad thing is the acoustic. Are you kidding me? This is what I was dumbfounded the most of. The call themselves a music venue. The walls are all bare and so there's nothing to soften the sound. Not only are the acoustic bad, but they blast the music as well. Lastly, the service blows. I ordered our drinks from the bar but a few people in our group ordered them from the waitress. It took her about 20 mins to bring a bottle of Bud Light to one of our buddies. The next round he ordered took about the same amount of time. That's when he realized he's wasting his time with having a waitress. They seemed understaffed considering how long it took to get a drink but at the same time, there were tons of servers. Â
After saying all that, I had a blast. This wasn't due to the venue or their weak drinks. This was because of the band and the company I was with. If that band is playing there or any other band you have seen and liked, I say check it out. But I couldn't imagine coming here just to hang out and play pool.
