Great pub & tavern, just ok for food.
The serving staff is attractive and attentive. Â The ambience is great. Â Trying to find a seat at the packed bar can be difficult. Â This is indeed a popular place.
In multiple visits, however, I have found the food to be just average. Â Most recently my order of wings were not-so-good. Â They were meaty and appropriately seasoned, but ran bloody. Â The server was disappointed in the kitchen as she observed the red bones that remained, but that acknowledgement was all I got post-wings. Â Full priced bloody wings. Â Yikes.
This English Tavern in Marietta, GA. Â is a very fun spot, I will say when we had arrived on a Wed. night between the hours of 5-8 there was a happy hour crowd that had a very good energy, it was not quiet, but not too loud. Â We sat at the bar quickly got served and we ordered a traditional meat pie, which was served with pickled onions and that spicy English mustard, very nice. Â It reminded m of my first trip to the UK, we visited some friends who lived in Putney, London, WOW ! We also ordered the Shepards Pie, and I have to be honest very tasty, it was not a Cottage Pie. Â I really did enjoy it, the seasoning was to my palate, not to greasy because lamb can do that. Along with our meal, the pints were fantastic, served well in a chill glass, I did notice the 34oz mugs, we will have to try that next time. Â One very noticeable detail, the restaurant was clean and even the mens room, with all this activity I was impressed. Â Cheers Mate, we will be back for a Snakebite and some Fish n Chips !
Review Source:This Rose & Crown rocks. Since I haven't been to the other, I can't compare. And since it's right near my hotel, I just had to try it, right?
So glad I did! The atmosphere is a chill "pub" vibe (which I thought was kinda impressive since this building used to be a La Madeline) and the people are cool. Annie, the bartender who served me, was not only adorable but helpful, nice and efficient. She clearly made a point to remember my (and everyone else's) names and the bar was full so that was impressive.
I went with the club sandwich (it came out really quickly- cool) and was SO. AWESOME. One of the best I've ever had, seriously. I don't know exactly why, just take my word for it. So good (and big) that while I could only eat half for lunch, I actually ate the rest for dinner and y'all know I rarely eat leftovers! The fries were perfectly cooked, tasty and well-seasoned in kind of a peppery way.
The menu is huge - from what I hear are really good fish tacos to salads to a variety of burgers to... - plus they have a brunch menu on Sunday (including $3 beers and $5 mimosas) and the billboard outside tells you about daily specials like $5 Mondays, Trivia Tuesdays, etc.
I'll be nearby for a couple of weeks so I am sure I'll be back!
Solid English pub. Â Try the RC Roll Appetizer - Homemade ground sausage wrapped in a puff pastry w/ 2 side cups of whole grain ground mustard & pickled onions (which I didn't expect to like, but were surprisingly good). Even though the menu description leads you to believe you'll be served one roll, it was actually served as three decently sized (about the size of a street pastry) half rolls. Â
I couldn't make up my mind between the many delectable sounding hearty entrees, but finally opted for the Vegetable Plate. Â The Vegetable Plate works well for the indecisive: pick 4 from the selection of sauteed green beans, sweet potato fries, mashed sweet potatoes, regular Idaho potato fries, baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted mushroom medley, soy roasted bok choy, grilled asparagus, seasonal vegetable medley, 3-cheese macaroni & cheese, or sauteed spinach. Â
I ended up choosing the sweet potato fries, 3-cheese macaroni & cheese, seasonal vegetable medley, and grilled asparagus. Â I was in between the asparagus & spinach but the waitress warned me it was pretty oily. Â Decision made.
At first I was a little worried there wouldn't be enough food - I'm an eater & had just spent the last two hours working out. Â I needn't have worried. Â The plate was full of goodness when it arrived. Â
The fries tasted homemade (I was told they were from a bag), and were plump and sweet. Â The cup of 3-cheese macaroni & cheese was decadent! Â More like a 7-cheese macaroni; don't order this if you're on a diet or don't like cheese! Â Asparagus was perfectly grilled, and the vegetable medley was a nice blend of julianned carrots, zucchini, and squash.
Half price bottles of wine all day Sunday. Doesn't include the premium selection of wines but still, some of these included wines are top tier! Great deal!

Who would have thought a pub in the suburbs would serve excellent brunch!?! No seriously... who? I was in Atlanta for the weekend and my beau really wanted to take me to his favorite brunch spot because he knows I'm a foodie and a sucker for a good brunch. When he said it was a bar, on St. Patty's Day, with tons of TVs, at the start of March Madness... I definitely questioned his TRUE intentions. First impression... it was a bar, on St. Patty's Day, with tons of TVs, at the start of March Madness. But let me tell you... the brunch was amazing! Like serious good, amazing. And customer service is a huge deal to me and our server, Ryan, was super cool!
Tip... you can't go wrong with the Banana's Foster French Toast or the Shrimp and Grits!!!!
Warning... you will literally be eating an ENTIRE loaf of challah bread if you order the French toast! Don't let your friends pass judgment on you though... it's delicious and worth the calories and coma you'll be in afterwards. I kept asking my beau for another bite and it was his order not mine!
Tip... the portions are more than generous so don't over order! As I said, the French toast is massive... again, no judgment, but I'm pretty sure you won't need that side of eggs or bacon or whatever else you probably want. No ma'am. The side of ONE egg scrambled was really like three!
To top off the great food, Ryan gave us beads for St. Patty's Day, then later the owner came by our table and gave us free t-shirts! Granted it was St. Patty's Day at pub and it's not usually the norm to give out free stuff but it was an added bonus and tipped this review over the edge to a Strong 5 (from a Regular 5... because it deserves a 5 either way). Customer service isn't learned over night so I'm sure those two guys are awesome any day of the week you come into Rose and Crown Tavern and not sure when you're wearing green!
Service was really good. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Sadly my salad was disgusting! I read the description and it sounded tasty but man it was gross. I gaged a few times. Maybe it wasn't the quality of the food (it seemed fresh) but the overall result was nasty. I miss a good old fashioned iceberg lettuce garden salad. Oh well maybe I should give something else a try. I'll probably give it another chance in the future.
Review Source:Love the atmosphere and decor in this place. It seems to be the only "pub" to be found in Smyrna, and it seems to do the job. The waitstaff is kind and efficient, the manager is nice, and the food is great. I love their nachos, a huge plate for pretty cheap... it's great! They have trivia one or two nights a week, but I've never made it out for that. I've been on Karaoke nights by accident, and it can get a bit loud and obnoxious, but that's to be expected. Definitely seems to be the place to go for happy hour. Lots of middle aged business professionals, not exactly the young crowd. Overall, a good place to go get a drink to wind down.
Review Source:The perfect watering hole in the area. Sure, it's very suburban, but it's got character and feeling like family takes all but three visits. Â The place is vibrant, friendly and makes for the perfect after-work hangout for those of us in the area and a great
Also, although their food doesn't depart from the expected, they do try, and it shows. At the very least, you should consider their surprisingly good potato chips that are made in house, the andouille bites with roasted peppers, and their very decent chicken club in a croissant with arugula.
My coworkers and I love to come here for happy hour. Â I have been here twice for happy hour this week! Â The drinks and wings are great! Â We especially love to come here when the weather is nice because they have a great patio that is very relaxing. Â The service is usually very good too.
I have also come here for lunch a few times and the salads are really tasty. Â I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to hang out with friends, have a few drinks and eat really good bar food.
Rose and Crown Tavern is housed in a former La Madeleine on Powers Ferry Road. Â They kept a lot of the inside decorations, added a bunch of tvs and turned it into a bar. Â It doesn't have the best food or the best drinks, but it has something better going for it: it's close to home. Â I can walk on over there to grab a drink whenever I want (well, during posted business hours). They do have various specials during the week as well as trivia and karaoke on certain nights. I kind of miss the La Madeleine, but it's nice to have a bar/tavern in the area.
Review Source:I'm a little disappointed in this place. Â Super close to work, so some co-workers and I grabbed lunch here one day.
First off, the decor is nice enough - seems to be pretty standard for a pub of this sort. Â I think it would be a great after work happy hour stop.
However, the food was a little sub par. Â I ordered the crab cake sandwich as it sounded delish. Â In reality, it was not. Â The croissant was a bit burnt and the crab cake was more filler than I would have liked. Â Definitely not what I was hoping for. Â The menu seems to have some other very promising items, so I'll probably give this place another chance. Â But my first visit did not excite.
Pleasantly surprising due to its odd location, this is a great little tavern whether you want to hang out and watch the game (Go SF Giants), grab a beer and a late night snack, or just have dinner with some friends. Â
While our service left something to be desired (have no clue of our waitress' name and where she disappeared to sometimes), the food was really quite good. Â
First, anyplace I can get Strongbow (in a bottle) and some good eats will make me a happy gal. Â The Loaded Potato Skins were rich and buttery with perfectly crisp bacon and rich cheeses and they just melted in my mouth. Â The Reuban sandwich was the perfect balance of corned beef, kraut and sauce without being overly greasy or filling. Â And their sweet potato fries (while not as delightful as Farm Burger), were a great balance of sweet and salty without being over cooked.
Next, we opted to have a little dessert.  A place that touts their homemade desserts, including a rotating menu of cobblers, crème brulees and bread puddings, means they really give some attention to this detail.  We ordered the Chocolate Bananas Foster Bread Pudding (which came with a Butter Pecan ice cream) and a Cherry Chocolate Chip Cobbler (served with Vanilla ice cream).  Both were rich and delectable - and worth the extra calories we would need to work off the next day.
So go for the food and the beer and certainly NOT the service - expect to be there for a bit.
I drive by Rose and Crown Tavern daily and am so surprised that this place is swamped nearly every night. Â My curiosity overwhelmed me and my husband and I went there one night. Â I was very disappointed. Â The food was mediocre and the bread pudding was dreadful. Â I actually sent it back. Â I won't be going back.
Review Source:Great service. Â Thank you Juan and staff for a great experience for a co worker's birthday! Â We often cringe when we go in a group as it is hard to stay close to an hour or just a little over. Â Today, we had the best experience. Â I called ahead and the mgr offered for us to fax our order in ahead of time. Â Everyone got what they ordered and we got out in record time. The food was awesome and five new people have been introduced to a great food experience. Â Thanks again for great food and service!
Review Source:What a pleasant surprise my late lunch break visit to Rose and Crown turned out to be!
I'll keep this review short and hit the basics:
As I sat at the bar, the bartender introduced himself with a handshake (Chris). Nice!
Right away, I ordered a Guinness which was properly poured. Well done!
On Chris's recommendation, I got the shrimp and grits. DELICIOUS!!!
If this place beefed up the beer selection to include more from the UK and Western Europe... threw some UK tunes up on those speakers...... it'd be a 5-star spot for sure!
As it stands now, I've already told three people about the shrimp and grits and I'll definitely be back in to try something else...
Cheers!
Popped in for lunch and I was so tempted to have a beer! But I was with my customer, so it was an iced team. Bummer.
Hard to decide what to have as there were lots of good choices on the menu. We both had the "pick two" option which is a soup or salad or sandwich. The day's soup was a vegetable and lamb. It was excellent. Super meaty and very tasty. I wish it was in a bigger bowl. My customer had the chicken salad and he said it was excellent - nearly ordering another to go. I had the club and it was also very good. Too tall to stuff into my mouth, toasted bread with turkey and ham and bacon and lettuce and tomato. Super yummy!
The restaurant has a bunch of TV's and it seemed like no two were tuned to the same channel.
My husband and I got checked into our hotel nearby pretty late, so we asked the front desk if anything was still open. Â They suggested Rose and Crown. Â We walked in, were seated immediately by a friendly hostess and greeted quickly by our server. Â The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect from a pub, and I was lucky enough to happen into the place on karaoke night (I love karaoke). Â The singers weren't horrible, and the crowd was fun-loving but not too boisterous to enjoy a nice dinner. Â My husband had the prime rib sandwich and sweet potato fries, which he enjoyed. Â I had a burger and regular fries and thoroughly enjoyed it. Â The menu boasted organic angus beef for the burgers, so I asked the server if I could have it cooked Med Rare or no more than Medium. Â She was unsure if they could do that (it was only her 2nd night by herself, so I cut her some slack), but apparently she worked it out because it came out perfect.
Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the service. Â If we're ever back in town, we'll go back.
This is one of the best pub restaurants in the city of Atlanta...AND IT'S IN THE BURBS! Â The food is fantastic, the beers on draft are very respectable in relationship to the atmosphere and they also have a great bottle selection. Â Live music is a weekly happening and if you want to get the guys together you can always play some darts and pool. Â The neatest thing to me is the transcendence of sports you can watch in this bar. Â Anything from rugby to football to soccer to the Olympics, the vibe consistently matches and you never feel out of place, whether watching the games or just having a night out for dinner.
The owner Miguel and his staff have done an outstanding job representing the Cumberland area!
This place could be great. But the service, "nickle and dime"ing, and the "we think we are better than we actually are" attitude ruin it.
The food is good, it really is. BUT they don't make things the way its specified in the menu and nickle and dime for everything. I'm surprised I wasn't charged for water.
Point being, be exactly what you say you are but certainly no less.
I hate being nickle and dimed, so does everyone else.
oh and p.s. the fried pickles are ....yuck!
I went on Friday June 15th for a business lunch. Â The place was extremely busy; we had to wait 20 minutes to be served.
Service was very slow; attendees were wondering out loud if they were butchering the cow... Â
I made the mistake of ordering fish tacos; the we're not good. Â The fish was some kind of fish nuggets with no taste. Â The lettuce was dry like straw. Â Some kind of green sauce was poured onto the tacos; I'm not sure what was.
I cannot recommend this place.
Although a great bar spot, I've mainly came to Rose and Crown Tavern for the food. The atmosphere inside is always festive and relaxed. There are always plenty of people relaxing after work, watching the game.
I usually order the veggie panini, which consists of portabello mushroom, red peppers, zucchini, onions, tomatoes, and spinach on toasted focaccia bread with a side of sweet potato fries. I've always been very satisfied with the food and service is usually great as well.
Oh, and they have plugs for laptops and free wifi as well, so it's a great place to get some work done with a couple of friends over a beer.
Rose and Crown Tavern is an English-themed pub that somewhat reminds me of the Irish pubs, Meehan's and Ri Ra. Â I guess it's because each of the places have bangers and mash (mashed potatoes and sausages) on the menu. Â Unlike Meehan's and Ri Ra though, Rose and Crown is not a chain. Â The restaurant is family owned and operated. Â It's located next to Sal Grosso Brazilian steakhouse on Powers Ferry Road, near the Windy Hill intersection.
Rose and Crown has the design of a traditional English pub from the inside out. Â Inside, there's dark woods, hardwood floors, brick walls, iron windows, candle lamps, a see-through fireplace, and an open kitchen. Â The bar is long and windy. Â There are several different rooms or sections with tables to eat in, including an enclosed outdoor patio.
There's a game room with darts, a pool table, and a Nintendo Wii. Â There are also plenty of flatscreen TVs situated around the tavern, particularly at the bar, which makes this place a decent spot for game-watching. Â Rose and Crown subscribes to various sports packages, so they might carry your team's hard-to-find game.
Food-wise, they offer typical "pub grub" fare, which includes a large selection of burgers and sandwiches. Â Some of the more unique items include the grilled andouille sausage bites and English meat pies.
I've tried the North Georgia mountain trout salad (special) and the classic club sandwich. Â The trout salad ($12.95) is a light and healthy salad. Â The trout is seasoned and grilled, skin-on, and placed atop of a bed of fresh field greens, tomatoes, and onion, tossed with a garlic vinaigrette. Â A good salad, but you'll probably need to order something else to go with it. Â Otherwise, it'll leave you hungry.
The classic club sandwich ($8.95) comes with smoked turkey, Black Forest ham, Applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on toasted white bread. Â It's a solid sandwich and comes with fries which are thick, crispy, and tasty.
Service is very good from hostess to server to manager. Â Amber was our server once and she was great.
At lunchtime, especially Fridays, Rose and Crown is busy. Â At night, the pub stays open and serves its full menu until late (1:30am or later).
The Rose and Crown, located at the busy intersection of Powers Ferry and Windy Hill, is your typical ale house, serving up plenty of adult libations along with the standard array of pub grub. Judging by the noise level on a recent weekday lunch, it's a popular place with the many businessmen and women that work in the adjacent office complexes.
Service is efficient, generally friendly - though not overly so - and I'd put the quality of the food somewhere between Garrison's and Houston's. There aren't many options for the food-allergy challenged, but I made a decent gluten free meal with a vegetable plate of mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, sauteed garlicky green beans, and something called "melted squash," which is really just cut up steamed squash in a cream sauce. (I was disappointed that the baked potato, offered on the menu as an option, is only available at dinner.)
Rose and Crown is now serving brunch on the weekends, and our server caused a bit of confusion by offering us the brunch menu along with the regular one. (It was merely a sales ploy, not an actual option.)
My dining companions enjoyed the crab cakes, sweet potato fries, and the black and blue salad - a steak salad with blue cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette. Other diners in the vicinity seemed happy enough digging into burgers, fish and chips, and more platters of the sweet potato fries. Even at lunch, the bar area was full, with many patrons enjoying a beer along with their food. If you live or work in the area, Rose and Crown is a good option for meeting friends and kicking back a few cold ones.
So, I think this is the Illinois bar for college football?? There were designated Illinois tables when we went on Saturday night to watch some football games. There are a ton of TVs, even a big screen, most with different games being shown. I was there with a group, which kept getting bigger and bigger, and the staff was very accommodating.
I had a salmon spinach salad with a balsamic vinaigrette, which was amazing. The salmon was cooked medium rare and the spinach with feta cheese was an overall amazing combination. I ate every bite. Our group ordered fried pickles, which we think were breaded with corn meal. They weren't the best fried pickles we've had, but it was interesting to have them cooked differently. They weren't greasy at all, even to the point of wondering if they were actually baked instead of fried. They were served with a sweet and tangy sauce, which is different than the normal ranch or horseradish sauce usually served with fried pickles. Others also ordered spinach and artichoke dip, which is a huge portion with a lot of bread. I tried a couple of bites, and it was very cheesy and delicious.
As for drinks, I had lots of vino. The house Cabernet was pretty good and ran about $5 a glass. I'm not sure if there was a bottle option, but after five glass (LOTS of vino), it probably would have been cheaper to buy a bottle. There was a Miller Lite special for around $3... yucks. If you like pickles, you should definitely try the pickle martini. However, if it arrives without a hint of green, beware because you're probably about to drink straight vodka. We had to request extra pickle juice to dilute the vodka.
The service was good and bad. Our server took a while to make the first visit. We were looking around for someone, and even another server asked if we'd been helped yet because our dude was slacking a bit. He also could have stopped by more frequently to check on us, as our glasses were dry for a few minutes a few different times. Even though our server was a bit slow, he was very good... at his job and peer pressure. He got all of our orders correct and helped when we needed something extra. Now, the peer pressure: I was trying to behave myself and keep it classy with only a couple of glasses of wine, but I am a weak person. Homeboy was very good at offering to bring me another glass of wine every time someone else ordered a drink. I would resist the first couple of times he would ask, but would crumble under the pressure of the third offer. Hence, five glasses of wine.
I will definitely return.
Never been there before. Â Met friend for lunch. Â Asked for a booth. Â Booths aren't really booths, they're sort of a bench with a movable table. Â Too deep and uncomfortable. Â They need better cusions and because of the depth, they need back cusions, too.
Food was okay. Â Friend had a burger which looked big but that was mostly due to the piles of "stuff" ordered with it. Â He said the burger was okay.
I had the grilled chicken salad which tasted like every other grilled chicken salad I've had.
I didn't go to the bar area so don't know about that. Â
Overall, I'd say it's okay. Â There have been several failed restaurants along that strip but the crowd in there seemed to indicate they might succeed. Â I'd only go again for the sake of convenience. Â It's not a restaurant I'd seek out.
The interior looks like an upscale sports bar. They even host UFC parties there. The prices also higher than I'm used to.
I've only been during lunch and they serve your standard burgers and sandwich entrees. Except they're in the $8-9 range not including tax and tip. Besides from some of the appetizers and salads, these were the cheapest lunch options available.
I had their pork chop special. It was a pork chop stuffed with crawfish stuffing with haricot verts, mashed potato, and some type of sauce on top of the meat.
The haricot verts were cooked nice, but it lacked flavor. The crawfish stuffing tasted bland, dry and tough. It didn't go well with the pork chops. I rather just had the pork chops by itself.
Speaking of which, the pork chops seemed to be cooked medium-medium well. I don't mind it; it makes pork taste juicy, but some people might get alarmed by it.
The food tasted okay. The prices looked steep to me. They have friendly service and staff though. All in all, It seems like your average tavern to me.
This is one of my favorite places to go with friends because it's very close to my house and is great! Â They have awesome drink specials throughout the week and most of their menu items are fairly priced. Â Every plate I've had at dinnertime has been awesome. Love the fish tacos and even the BLT on the challah bread is so much better than a regular BLT. Â We always try to make it when the hookah guy is there (I believe it's Wed-Sat?) because he has lots of tasty flavors if you're into the hookah thing. Â So this is part one of my review, which I would give them 5 starts for..EXCEPT...
One night when we were there for dinner I saw signs advertising for brunch, so I decided to go one Sunday morning.  Way disappointed.  Their "potatoes" which I thought would be some sort of hash browns, are actually just their normal french fries, cut into slightly smaller pieces.  Then they're deep-fried and just tossed with some chopped peppers and onions?  Basically I felt like I was eating fries for breakfast.  Everything  was overpriced and not that great.  I actually would have preferred Waffle House to this.  Disappointed, but I suppose the fact that I love it so much the rest of the time makes up for it!
Went to Rose and Crown last night to do a little celebrating and omg is my head pounding this morning as I am at work. What a good time it was! But that is a story for another day.
Today's review is for the awesome time I had there last night. We got to R/C about 6:30 last night and the place was packed, no tables available so we opted to sit at the bar for dinner. Megan and Chris were bartending and did an excellent job at keeping our glasses filled with cold refreshing brew and getting us our dinner out. For dinner we had the onion rings to start and wow were those things big, looked like big donuts on a plate. Not only were they big, the were also very tasty as well. For my meal I had the Sheppard's pie which was also very good, not quite the traditional way that I was use to, but the twist on it was great with the succulent lamb and veggies under a bed of garlic mashed potatoes.
In conclusion it was a great meal, with great service, great drinks, and a great time.
Food is awesome! Â Fried green tomato goat cheese sandwich is the best sandwich ever. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu though. Â Big steak fries seasoned perfectly.
Only con - there is a weird waiter that works here that seems to be there working every time I show up. Â He gives off a creepy, keep your kids away from him feel. Â
Otherwise, wife has gone for ladies night for penny well drinks and had a great time. Â Cool atmosphere - they revamped an old La Madeleine's restaurant, so they have the big wood beams, big see-through stone fireplace. Â Traditional english pub, looks like a good spot to watch a soccer match and have a couple beers.
$8 for a 24oz Yuengling!!! I was charged for an Import. As far as I know, Yuengling is only imported from Pennslyvannia. Â I am used to paying that much at the Cheetah or at Turner Field, but when I was there I didn't notice any naked chicks or Chipper Jones/Tim Hudson Types entertaining me.
The bartenders were AMAZED!!! when I questioned the price for a good, yet regular, American beer. They said that's the norm. But that is Bulls*!t, Taco Mac (an Atlanta Craft Beer Icon) only charges $3.75 for a 20 oz Yuengling. TJ's in Roswell is well less than 1/2 of that price.
I liked the place, but I didn't like the BS from Mr. & Mrs. Bartenders on Saturday and the $$$ price on regular American Beer.
Lot's of other places to go other than this over priced bar.
This is the second time i have this place a visit. It was funny because my friend and I were seated at the very same location we both were on the first time we visited.
Anyway, the service was pretty friendly and had some good suggestions for food. I ended up ordering the burger sliders cooked medium rare and two Paulaners during my time there.
I really enjoyed the ambiance and it was actually fairly crowded due to the holidays. But ultimately I ended up finding out why there were so many people here on a Wednesday night... turns out that they have a DJ playing dancing music after 9pm which is fine and sounds like fun but that was not why I went here. I feel like this place has more of a pub atmosphere not a club. Honestly, if I wanted to hear music here, I would prefer of it to be typical Irish music.. that is always real fun.
My friend and I were also a bit irked since the DJ told us to move pretty soon as where we were would be where the dancing would take place.... we told this to our waitress and she was not too pleased either. So hopefully she put him in his place.... who knows.
Anyway, back to the food. My burger sliders were pretty good. They were perfectly cooked in a medium rare style as I requested, however there was no tomato or onions. There only was spinach and pickles along with my mustard on the side (I hate ketchup and mayonnaise). It was tasty but I think it would have been better with some tomatoes and onions.
In general the place was OK. I really enjoyed the food and the ambiance until the loud music started blaring... this place has terrible acoustics so expect to go deaf during their DJ nights. We actually would have stayed longer if they hadn't had a DJ that night. I'll just avoid Wednesday nights from now on.

Went here last night for Thursday evening karaoke, which kicks off at 9:30 PM. Â Located in the old La Madeleine restaurant, they didn't have to do much to give this place cliche old world charm! Â But it works.
I didn't try any food, but Thursdays they also have half price well drinks for the laaydaays so I had a couple vodka-cranberries.
The karaoke experience is really good here...good crowd of people and lots of good singers. Â Perhaps too many good singers because I was wishing it would be my turn more often :) Â The DJ had pretty much any song you could think of and the sound system was good.
At the end of the night, I randomly won a gift certificate, so that's my ticket to go back and try some food next time!
I'm giving this place a 4 Star because I believe that this place definitely has potential. We went there for a late lunch over labor day weekend and it was not crowded at all. I think there were maybe 3 other tables besides us, but we also went around 1:00 so i didn't expect it to be packed, plus it's a holiday weekend.
The atmosphere is exactly how the name makes it out to be. It feels like a pub like tavern. Nice big bar, dark dimmed lights, nice tv's everywhere, and nice comfy tables.
The service was really great, the owner even came up to our table and told us about a new type of container for beer or something like that. Everyone there that day was really nice to us and very helpful since they knew it was our first time there, i'm sure they wanted to make a good impression.
The food was the only part which i thought needed some improvement. I got the half soup half sandwich combo. The soup was a Mexican clam chowder, nothing really special, i should have tried the tomato bisque. I got the half crab sandwich on a croissant which i expected to be really good, but it too was ok. It had potential though, the crab meat was really tender and good but it just didn't have very much flavor. My husband got the club which he loved! Can't go wrong with a club and also the chicken club is REALLY good. We got that the next day for take out and it was much better!
They do have homemade potato chips which were REALLY good and they also have Sweet Potato fries, which i love! Everything there is made in house and never frozen, so they say, which i think is a plus for any restaurant.
Overall, Great experience! They are a new restaurant so I know it will take a little time to get all the kinks out but I def think it's worth a visit!
We're really happy to have this place near us and really hope they will improve a few things so we will come back!
The service was horrendous. Â I left a $2.00 tip on a $40 ticket, and I usually tip over 20% - the young girl was lazy, not helpful, and had a rude attitude. Â
Wings were good. Â Fish and chips were just OK - and they are chips, not fries. Â They didn't have lemon pepper, but had lemon pepper wings on the menu. Â Margaritas were a 3.5 out of 10 - they need to use nicer ingredients for these, definitely. Â They do not make mojitos, FYI.
Physically, it's a nice place with a good-sized patio, a pool table, etc. Â We'll go back, but they need to work on their service and having everything on the menu.
