Giving this place a one star is being generous. If this is a franchise store, you would think corporate would be more selective on franchisees  who consider guest service a necessity to a successful business. We came in with our baseball team and the owner was completely rude. She was treating us like thieves, assuming we were trying to share the lunch buffet. We were just looking for a place where the families could eat and the kids could unwind between games. She was trying to charge me even though I was not eating. We watched several families walk out due to her rude service. There was no more pepperoni pizza and the buffet still had 5 more minutes, I asked if they can make some more pizza. She insisted the buffet was over. The employee told me that another pepperoni pizza was coming out, but she was insisting that it was she would not make any more. I said we came in with a party of 25, and told her she needs to make another pizza. She comes out with 5 slices as if she was doing me a favor. We as a team have gone to other Round Table Pizza and had great experiences. We will never come back to this location!
Review Source:I love Round Table Pizza. Grew up with it and love it, but this franchise is terrible. This location's service personelle are poorly trained and rude. Â I ordered a pizza. The first associate did not know how to take an order. The second young person I dealt with was straight out rude...saying "do you want close this or not!"
I spoke to the manager and she was absolutely incompetent. Threatened to fire the young rude guy without even talking with him.
Love the pizza, but not from this location. The worst service.
Love Round Table but the San Clemente Round Table could use a hostile take over. Â The product is good but their reputation is being destroyed from the top down. Â We've loyally patronized Round Table since the 70's but that is about to stop. Â I'd rather support a well run mom and pop pizza joint that makes customer service a high priority rather than a franchise that feels entitled to business.
When an order gets screwed up and asks the customer if they are willing to take it as is, with a promise of a half off or free pizza on your next order, you take them at their word. Â When you return to take them on on their offer and get quoted a price of $12.75 for a large single topping pizza, saying that's the best he can do (same manager), you realize you no longer wish to patronize such an establishment.
When I want Round Table, I'll patronize a franchisee that works hard to maintain high quality food and service I've come to expect from Round Table, not a bunch of schleps that act entitled to my business.
When we ordered the pizza over the phone, it sounded like the employee was completely out of breath and stressed. He was short but gave us a cash discount (mention this discount if you pay with cash) for our order of three large pizza's. The total came to over $62.00 for three large pizza - which is a lot of money (unfortunately Costco was closed and three pizza's would have cost us $30.00 - and they are much larger!!) When we arrived, it was hot and muggy outside - inside the restaurant was much worse! Â They had no AC and the employees were clearly uncomfortable - not to mention the customers. It was horrible. We waited in line over 20 minutes (with three customers in front of us) - it was miserable and hot. The pizza's were just okay - nothing fancy and nothing to write home about. The gross thing about this entire experience was the employees - they were clearly hot and they were making our pizza's (picture dripping sweat ) - yes that bad. While we were in line, a ton of customers kept coming up to the window saying they never received their beer/drink order and one customer said the mens room toilet was overflowing (the employee just said "ok" and went on about her business). An older women (Short and dark hair) was getting impatient with a customer who was asking a lot of questions, so she turned to the other employee at the register next to her and said "here - take over- he is asking to many questions". Â I felt sorry for the younger employee who was clearly stressed.
All in all.... not worth the price!
Had this pizza lastnight. It was just ok. Not the best pizza that I have had and by far not the worst. I would go back if I'm in the area and want some pizza. The service was ok as well. Nothing great. We were sitting waiting on our order and a ladt brought over a pizza. Wasn't ours, so she sat and tried to argue that it was until we pulled out order ticket out to show her. Then she finally decided that, ya it wasn't ours. Didn't really make sense to me, becasue you are given an order number to place on your table. Hmmm, she might not be able to ready, so I will cut her a break. This pizza joint is not as amazing as I have heard it to be.
Review Source:For me, Round Table is the best/my favorite pizza chain currently in CA. Â Despite being a bit pricy for pizza, it's well worth it. Â What I really like about the San Clemente location is that it has that "old Round Table" vibe to it. Â So you got great atmosphere, great pizza, and great service from the employees.
If you are looking at getting one of their specialty pizza's - look no further than the Italian Supreme. Â 'Nuff Said.
Ugh. Â Just.....ugh.
This place is right down the street from my house. It is the closest pizza delivery place. Â And in the almost 6 years I have lived here, I have not been able to force myself to try it more than twice.
And really....that was generous.
Experience 1: Â Just moved in (the fact that this happened almost 6 years ago and I STILL remember it should be a warning sign). Everything I own is still in boxes....pizza is the way to go....right? WRONG.
I called for delivery; pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives, extra sauce, and a side of breadsticks with ranch.
After an hour, when it hadn't arrived, I called....they said it would be right over. Â Please keep in mind that I live about .2 miles from this place.
It finally comes, it is cold and hard. Â I take one bite and I'm like....dude, this is horrible. Â I decided not to eat it. Â Thank GOODNESS, because about 15 minutes later, the guy comes back and says, Oh, sorry, that pizza was from yesterdays deliveries...it was left in my car. Here is your pizza.
EWWWWWWWW.
Stupid me tried this place again about 4 years later. Â It wasn't much better than the day old pizza.
Suck it up, drive to Aliso Viejo, and go to Papa Johns. Â I don't know how this location is still in business.
